Hi friends,
I am a silent member of this forum. But last Saturday's episode made me to write this post. Pooja sharma's acting was superb...she is such a strong fiery lady.I think she is born to play Draupadi...

I can understand that slaves were treated as commodities in those times..remember Gandhari's servant friend (cannot get her name). Gandhari herself asks her to go to her husband and that slave has no option but to go.

But whenever I think of Draupadi cheerharan episode, I always think what would have happened next? how can she live with those husbands again? Can she love them the same? Can she forgive them?

She eventually did. But she made sure they were reminded of her insult for all the years they are in vanvaas and agyatvaas. She didn't tie her hair and she walked around with long, matted hair, a symbolism that explains the condition of a widow. We know the vow she took. So we can say that she did get the blind old guy to free them but she never forgot nor did she forgive (immediately).

I think yes Draupadi forgive her husbands but no to forget her insult...thats why she talk a vows...she opened her hairs coz she wanted her husband always rembr her insult. She said-" m apane kesh tab bandoge jab aap mujhko ys dhushi k chati ka laho lakar doge. Aur yeh khole kesh aapko yaad dilayege ki mere sath kya hua h".

According to Vyas Mahabharat, she never kept the blame on her husbands. She is also a great follower of Dharma (righteousness) like her husbands. She had a belief that Yudhishtir's righteousness will be a great boon for them. I would like to share one incident with u from Aranyavaas.

When King Jayadradh (Saindhav - Dusala's husband) tried to abduct Draupadi, She first told about Yudhishtir that if an elephant has become highly furious, every body will run away from her. Similarly Yudhishtir has become furious, his enemy cannot escape from him.

Hey that yudhishtira getting angry thing reminded me the stories, dont know where they came from.
That when yudhishtira got angry, truly angry, anyone he looked at dropped dead.
Krishna told this to duryodhna right before his death.

She will not be forgiving them anytime soon seeing the promos, they will be exiled with not a wife but an active volcano.

She did not blame them in the first place so ... but even in the text, for the first time when she opens her mouth about this Incident, it is to Krishna when he comes to visit them in the forest.

She drops at his feet and tells him everything about how she was dragged by hair during her periods and laughed at while she stood in blood stained clothes, about what Karna said to her.

She did blame them but not just them, her wounds were fresh and she was lashing out. She blamed everyone. Krishna too.
