I recently watched Hasee toh Phasee and Highway.

Hasee Toh Phasee: WTH was that! Naa sar, naa paer. Parineeti was really weird in the film...I don't know what critics were raving about. I thought she was inconsistent and was only making weird faces through out the film. Nothing was natural about her performance and neither was her character complex. Parineeti is a good actress but HTP has to be her worst performance till date. Meeta cried in the end but I hardly felt for her. Nikhil left a dominating, insecure girlfriend only to get into a relationship with a selfish, self-centered mad-cap. And how weird it would be to have your ex-girlfriend of seven years becoming your sister-in-law. Vinil Mathew definitely watches Pavitra Rishta.

Surprisingly, Siddharth was good. I thought he was hopeless in SOTY but he was natural as Nikhil. He has definitely improved.

Highway: Brilliant. I have never been an Imtiaz Ali fan and always believed that JWM was a fluke. But this was really good. The message that the film wanted to give was subtle and not in your face. Alia's acting still needs some polishing but she has what none of the other actresses of her generation possess and that is her innocence. SOTY kids are not doing bad at all, KJo must be feeling proud.

HTP of course. It didn't have Sushant. 😆

SDR was not bad. I liked the concept but I thought it was not executed well by Maneesh, especially the second half. HTP was senseless and purposeless.
