Madhu was barely aware of them moving, she gasped when he suddenly lowered her onto the bed, her fingers tightened on his shoulders, she pulled back gasping as she stared up at RK, he stared back at her, not once moving his eyes from her eyes. He wanted to assure her in some way he was here for her and would be here.

"I... can't" she whispered shaking her head, her eyes glistening with tears, it wasn't fair to Karan, RK or... or her baby.

"I want you" RK replied cradling her cheek, keeping his eyes locked to hers.

She pressed splayed her palms against his chest and slightly pushed, RK moved off her effortlessly lying on his back, Madhu glanced at him once before sitting up and holding her head, her elbows resting on her knees. What was she doing? She's pregnant, that too with Karan's baby and here she was making out with someone else. Guilt sliced her, almost squeezing her insides.

"What are we doing Madhu?" RK questioned staring at her for a moment, he straightened and stood to his feet pacing the room. "What are we doing?" he questioned stopping before her staring down at her for a moment, suddenly he kneeled and cupped her cheeks making her look back at him. "You want me then what's stopping you? You don't love Karan anymore then why..." he whispered.

"This... this can't be RK. We can't be. I'm... I'm pregnant" she whispered. "I can't do this... I'm pregnant with Karan's baby" she replied softly, her voice almost inaudible.

"You're... you're what?" RK stared at her in disbelief dropping his hands to his sides.

She smiled sadly, knowing he'd now leave her alone, he simply wanted her body, he certainly wouldn't want the baby attached to her body, he wasn't a family and she didn't blame him, she knew it, what she hadn't known was, her husband wasn't.

"I'm pregnant" she repeated.

When the woman you love is with an ex, it sets of a series of emotion, anger, jealousy, hatred, and that was what Karan felt. Once Madhu confessed to lying to him and admitting she'd gone with RK, her ex-lover, all he felt was rage burning his insides. His wife was with another man. He stared at their wedding picture sitting on his desk swallowing thickly, the smile on his wife's face almost made him cringe as he already formed images of her smile with her ex and them both laughing behind his back. He glanced at the clock, unable to help himself he grabbed his phone and dialled her number, her phone rung but she didn't pick it up, he almost trembled with anger right now, he took in a few deep breaths and called RK's phone, he could've easily called Shaina but knowing the spoilt friend she'd probably lie for Madhu or even make excuses, she might even know of both RK and Madhu being ex-lovers. He cursed inwardly and threw his phone across the wall as the call went straight to voicemail.

"You're going to f**king pay!" he breathed deeply, his eyes bloodshot, his veins almost popping out in his throat.

His eyes drew to their wedding picture, he picked it up staring intently at his wife. "Why did you do this?" he questioned, his eyes blazing however tears glistened almost blurring his vision. "Why did you lie Madhu?" he hissed slamming the photo frame onto the hardwood floor smashing it into pieces.

He strode out of study heading straight for the bar he had built into their house, he looked around as memories came swooping back, memories that he'd built with Madhu. All those memories seemed to fade slowly as he recalled the night he'd given that ultimatum and their marriage was never the same. They'd fought for their marriage and were slowly making it work again, they were just getting back to their routine but that changed... changed now that RK had returned in their life and Madhu was now gone for the month. He poured himself a drink and gulped it down, images of RK and Madhu entwining in bed, laughing behind his back flashed before his eyes. RK's taunting his voice echoed in his ear... he dropped the glass resting his head on the bar, a lone tear sliding down his cheek as he drifted into sleep...

Madhu stared at RK, he stood by the window seemingly lost in his thoughts, he hadn't moved once and silence seemed to have settled between them for quite some time.

"Are you going to tell Karan?" RK questioned softly breaking the silence, out of the things Madhu had thought he'd say or ask, his response stunned her slightly and even confused to some extent.

"What?" she frowned looking over her shoulder.

"Are you going to tell Karan?" he repeated again moving away from the window and taking a seat beside her on the bed.

"It's his baby RK. I have to tell him" she replied.

"And... what if he asks for you to give your baby up again?" he questioned the one thing she didn't even to think about. She looked away, she couldn't do this to herself again, she couldn't go through with it again, may be Karan would be ready now she thought to herself. 

"Madhu" RK called gently waiting for her response; he lowered himself down to his knees resting his hand on her knees.

"I... I don't know" she replied standing to her feet and moving away. "It's nothing to do with you RK. It's between me and my husband" she crossed her arms facing her back to him. "Leave me please" she requested gently.

"You can't pretend tonight didn't happen" RK told her standing up to his feet staring directly at her back, Madhu could feel his intense gaze, she swallowed thickly closing her eyes for a moment.

"I... I know I can't. But I won't do this," she turned around looking back at him now, their eyes locking with each other's. "You made a choice RK, you left without a goodbye, I knew what I was in for that's why I never let myself believe for one moment you could be the guy for me" she told him honestly. "I'm married, I'm pregnant. I won't be leaving Karan to become your passing fancy again RK" she whispered.

"That's now what I want, and you know it" he replied softly, his voice thick and heavy.

"It's too late" she shook her head. "Please leave me alone" she pleaded.

"Talk to me please" RK responded.

"There's nothing to talk about. I just want to forget this ever happened" she swallowed thickly. "I... I won't be going back" She turned her back to him, her eyes glistened with tears, she wanted to buy time before she confronted Karan, she couldn't tell him about the baby, he'd told her he didn't want to have kids ever. Maybe if she kept quiet till... till he couldn't make her choose again. She wouldn't do it again, she covered her abdomen with her hand thinking of the dreams she'd woven of their baby earlier, could she weave and live those dreams, her eyes glistened as she thought about their baby, she could almost hear the child's laughter ringing at a distance, except the laughter that followed didn't belong to hers or Karan's... she blinked away her tears frowning inwardly, she turned around staring at RK who looked at her in concern and intently.

She shook her thoughts away, pushing down the forbidden thought that dared to even enter her mind, she swallowed past the lump that formed in her throat tearing her eyes away from his chestnut brown eyes.

"Talk to me Madhu" RK stepped forward almost closing the distance between them.

"Just don't" she shook her head. "This... kiss shouldn't have ever happened. I don't need any more burden on me than I already have RK" she whispered. "I can't fight, I'm not strong as I once was, don't do this to me" she pleaded.

"I'll fight for you Madhu" he cut her off shaking his head cradling her face in his large hands. "I'll fight for you, I'd do anything for a chance with you"

"It's too late" she replied softly shaking her head, a small smile curling on her face. "It's just too late" She repeated the same thing over and over inwardly, to even bridge anything between them it was far too late.

"Just leave me alone please" she whispered.

RK stared at her for a long time, never once wavering his gaze away from hers, Madhu was the first to look away biting down on her lip, her eyes burning with tears. Guilt curled in her stomach almost making her sick, she was pregnant with her husband's baby and she was kissing another man. RK stepped back sighing heavily and slowly turned closing the door behind him as he walked out.

Madhu waited till she could no longer hear his footsteps, she locked the door not wanting RK to surprise her anymore tonight. She covered her mouth slipping down to her knees and cried. Karan wouldn't ever forgive her for this... Would he want their baby? She wondered covering her abdomen with her hands. She couldn't lose her baby not even for Karan...

"Madhu... Madhu" Shaina's faint voice filtered through her, she jolted awake when she felt another tug.

"Wh...What?" Madhu groaned covering her face and rubbed.

"Well you're sleeping quite heavily aren't you?" Shaina laughed seeing her friend's hair in all directions, she patted down her hair and smiled at Madhu.

"It's 12 in the afternoon babe plus there's a surprise for you in the mansion"

"I'm really not in the mood" Madhu stepped down shaking her head and walked towards the washroom, her stomach was churning even though she hadn't ate last night, she couldn't digest one bite because of what'd happened and she was only praying that Shaina left before she witnessed her morning sickness.

"Think you'll like this surprise" Shaina responded "even if I'm not too please" she muttered softly but Madhu heard just as she picked up her brush to brush her teeth, she paused and turned to Shaina slightly.

"What is it?" she questioned, her heart racing, it was as if she knew, almost as if she could sense it.

"Lemme guess, you know" Shaina chuckled. "Yep, Karan is here, but don't tell him I informed you, apparently he wanted it to be surprise" she replied dryly, however Madhu was frozen in her place, her face pale and her body slightly going cold.

"Can't your husband stay away for one month?" Shaina continued unaware of Madhu.

"Shaina..." RK interrupted walking into the room. "Did you know Kar..."

"Yeah yeah I know he's here. Madhu's just freshening up to meet him as well" she replied.

"Hmm... listen why don't you go and check on him?" he suggested.

"Why? I don't like him, you go check on him" she frowned.

"Listen just go" RK tugged his sister out of the room escorting her down, once she was headed back to the mansion, he closed the outhouse door and locked it not wanting anyone to enter. He climbed up the steps taking 2 stairs at a time, he walked back into the room to find Madhu coughing violently as she dry heaved, he knew it must be her morning sickness. He rushed to her side holding her hair as she now threw up, Madhu splashed cold water over her face and rinsed her mouth. 

"He... he's here" Madhu whispered.

"Madhu" RK cradled both her cheek. "I'm here for you. there's always options"

She stared at him for a moment before stepping back and shaking her head. "Like I told you last night, it's too late"

RK stared at her sadly, he turned and headed out leaving her alone, Madhu wiped her tears and freshened up before she went to greet her husband. If she knew Karan then her guess was he came to check on her, he suspected her for sure, he was probably right in doing it but last night... last night she'd become so worn out and exhausted, she'd just given in, guilt sliced through her however in some twisted way she didn't regret it. With RK it'd felt so right, she wanted so much more but this wasn't fair on her baby. She wondered how will she tell Karan about his baby? Would he be able to accept their baby this time? If he didn't then she'd be left with the one choice...

She quickly changed and mentally prepared herself to meet her husband.
