I think leads - male, female and negative ... have a slightly tougher time than supporting actors ... there are more supporting roles going around, and they can easily be slotted into an ongoing show as a new entry. For lead actors, they need to wait for a new show. And Abhaas did well enough in IPK to be in the running for main villain or at least a major role in any new show he takes up.

She refused Sadhna's role in Bidaai ... she wasn't turned down. So she was offered a lead role as her first foray into acting. She refused it because she herself felt she wasn't ready for it and wanted to learn Hindi first. I think Rajan Shahi still respects her a lot for that ... she's on his list of actors who will go far in the industry .. she already has.

She did LRL S1 as a cameo, her first acting stint ... and she was called back to be a regular member of the show for S2. Raw, unrefined ... yet her talent was already seen, just waiting to be tapped further.

She did RKB, a negative/grey role ... and was called for MJHT while she was still working in RKB. So no gap at all there ... except that she was obviously working much less in RKB, while in MJHT, she worked the entire month as she was one of the leads.

She was the ONLY one of the four main leads from MJHT signed by Star after MJHT ended. And she had a choice of role ... EHM or IPK. So again no gap, or very little ... MJHT ended in mid Nov, and IPK started early June. She was signed by March/ April.

Chhanchhan and now RR, of course, there have been no gaps again ... Sony took her as soon as her contract with Star ended ... in between she did a show on Zee ... and then Colors and ST picked her up even before CC ended ... ST literally rushed to sign her the day the news of CC ending was confirmed. And that too, for a show that was planned for Jan, and he pushed it to twelve months later, because he had Sanaya and ONLY Sanaya in mind for it.

No wonder Sanaya thinks lead actors get roles easily ... she has never had any problems getting roles. 😆 And unlike BW, it's not for her looks alone ... she has proved her talent in spades in all her shows, especially the four she has done or is doing as leads ... in roles all completely different from each other. Hard work and talent both.

KSG actually had to wait a while to come back to TV, though that was more because of his personal problems ... but he also has established himself as a very good actor with two completely opposite roles, both acknowledged hits. DD has stayed in a safer zone, I feel ... I don't find much difference between her MB and Geet ... but I haven't watched either much, so I can't comment.

GC is another one who has done well, so has VD. Can't think of any more actors ... and no other actresses.
