Namaskaaram Vadakkam Svaagatam Mubaarakam
Welcome To The Summary of the Months!
It's a sunny day in Varnavat and after the Pandavas and Kunti venerate Pandu, a messenger from Vidur of Hastinapur comes with a big sack of rice. Bhim is upset because there is no ingredients for kheer included. Mushak appears from sack of rice and flies to Nakul's hands.
The Pandavas get this close to uncovering the truth of the lakshagirh, but it's just not possible. But with SuperMushak around, there is no fear! When Bhim and Sahadev go to the kitchen to get some kheer for Mushak (he isn't super charged now). They get the kheer (laced with poison) and take it back to the family room. Mushak seeing the kheer, gets supercharged (poorvabhas moment?) and runs away from the kheer (after Arjunaaa tells Nakul that the Mushak wants to do something to complete his mission) ... dun dun dun Agent Mushak! The Agent uncovers the dripping oil and then eats the kheer (yes I don't get this either ... guess no phoorvabhas).
Purochan's son overhears Arjun's revelation about the Lakshagrih and tells Purochan, who escapes with his family and sets the house on fire from the outside. At this point, there is no tunnel, so yes - the Pandavas are trapped. After playing "Toss the Kunti" over the fire, and showing a solo scene with Arjun jumping and dodging the flames (to get to his family), Arjun reaches his family, who have been standing there waiting. Bhim's foot =hole-in-earth, Arjun's idea=Super-Pandavas-Punch=magical tunnel to barely the outside of a huge cliff, Bhim does a bloody punch =opening.
Meanwhile, Bhishma finds their weapons (since he found out about the plan by Adirath), assumes they died and walks through the city of Hastinapur.
Panchal: Drupad's Brahmin torturing and Yaaj and Upayaaj's kindness results in Dhristadyuma is born from the Agni Kunda! Since Draupadi has to be born and Drupad doesn't want her, he asks for a bunch of stupid things for her (like jeevan bar ka troubles, pain, opposites). But Panchali appearswith her endless sari following! Drupad tells her that he doesn't care about her, so Shikandini acts like a mature adult and takes her sister inside where Draupadi befriends Malini (the daughter of a servant).
Meanwhile, through escaping Ashwattama, the Pandavas enter a Mayavi forest. Hidimba and Hidimbi see them and drool for human meat. Hidimbi takes the guise of a beautiful girl and screams, thus awakening Arjuna who goes on a mission to find her. He brings her back, and Bhim is hit with Cupid's arrows. An eating contest ensues between Bhim and Hidimbi and then a burping contest. Soon the Pandavas find their way to the temple of Lord Vrkodar and Hidimbi, being in love with Bhim, tries to convince them to take the real exit. But Pandavas ignore her and enter. Bhim wins fight against Hidimba becoming King with Hidimbi as his wife. Hidimbi gives birth to Ghatotkach; the Pandavas leave.
Krishna "attacks" Panchal with his Kaumodaki Gada. Draupadi saves Drupad from the gada. After some bhasaans by Krishna, Drupad realizes the truth, Drona and Drupad becomes BFFs, wants his daughter to marry Arjun, and the preparations for the Swayamvar begins with the auspicious friendship between Krishna and Krishnaa. (Duryodhana becomes Yuvraaj)
The Pandavas, by fate, show up at the swayamvar and Arjun wins it.
She is taken back to their small hut, where Kunti tells them to divide up the dhaan (but NO! It was a "Kanya Dhan!" ahahaha). After much thought, Draupadi agrees to marry all 5, but Drupad shows up with his army of silence and says NO and takes back Draupadi. After guidance from Vyasa, the Pandavas set out to regain their wife. Krishna saves the Pandavas from Drupad and finally Drupad agrees to the marriage; but Pandavas promise a bunch of stuff to Draupadi.
When they make their way back to Hastinapur (moments before Duyodhan's raj abhisheik), everyone is shocked and disturbed by this polyandry. Bhishma is convinced by Draupadi, but Dhritarastra, ignores the light and instead allows Duryodhan to constantly insult Draupadi and the Pandavas. Arjun can't take it anymore so he lifts up his bow and aims an arrow at Duryodhana, but Karna stands in front of Duryodhana, his kavach shining like no other.
Bhishma gets angry and leaves the court, and Duryodhan convinces daddy to arrest the Pandavas. Bhishma frees them with his words and threat and agrees to the division of the Kuru territory, offering himself to Dhritarastra's feet for eternity so the Pandavas can rule some land. Draupadi suggest Khandavprasth, and everyone is so proud of her. But Dhritarastra's evilness is not at an end - he tells Yuddhistir that he has to have 100 kings accept his rule to be considered sovereign and Kunti will stay in Hastinapur because it's his responsibility *cough* HOSTAGE! *cough*
Krishna tells that following the path of righteousness one always gets happiness and satisfaction in life and it carries five mantras i.e.knowledge,love, justice, self-sacrifice and patience. Dharam Sankat????....Krishna says that in every person's life their comes a timewhen he is faced with choices. On one side there is Dharam and on other Happiness. And that's why it is called Dharam Sankat. Most people choose happiness and gets attracted towards wrong path. Dharam Sankat is the point where you go closer to GOD by choosing Dharam because by chossing Dharam in a long run you will attain happiness.
A son who has always followed the words of his mother has to follow her again which is unbearable for all of them as its gonna be the biggest Adharam ever in the history of India-five men getting married to a single woman. Kunti being unaware that her son Arjuna who won a lady by showing his talent in Swayamwara whom he considers as Daan -Kanya Daan---which opens all the paths of ones luck gonna be her daughter-in-law gives orders to share her among five of them equally. Her sons who are not left with any option had to do that by getting married to Draupadi which only Arjuna got in Daan...Draupadi is shattered, How a woman can get married to five men,how she 'll be able to fulfill her duties towards five husbands equally.A mother can't see his sons becoming Saniyasis so she takes her orders back but she can't take her words back which she has told her sons,as they will never be able to face Draupadi as their mother has changed their relation with her. This fiasco sent all of them in Delimma.
Sons who has done everything for their mother, now has to get seperated from her,as they are getting their share from the big Empire of Hastinapur.Dhritrashtra has done one more injustice to them.Pandvas being the sole heirs of Hastinapur gets half of it and in return of that they has to leave their mother forever.Kunti who is not able to reject the orders of her jesht shri accepts this with heavy heart. She wants to see his sons ruling a Rajya at the sake of anything. Yudhishtra who always follow the path of Dharam can't tells his mother to take her words back as its her decision to stay back at Hastinapur. He can't show disrespect to his taatshree's and his mother's decision. So they accepts it and leaves Hastinapur without their mother forever.
Each n every Father in the world pray for the most beautiful life for their daughters. But Maharaj Draupad came out exactly the opposite to this. Anyone watching Draupadi's birth episode would've thought "What kind of a father was Draupad?"
Draupad was informed by the sages that he is destined to have a daughter, but out of his Puthra-moh and rejection towards his yet-to-be daughter he mocks the devtas and asks for such a daughter who will receive all the apavitrata in this world but still remain pavitra, who will only be treated with injustice but will provide justice to all, who will receive all the hardships in this world, still remain the strongest of all. Why is he asking for such a daughter if she is so much unwanted ? Maharaj Draupad thought to outrun the devtas by asking for the impossible. This track was very unnecessary and boring. The bland scenes between Draupad and Draupadi arguing about Shikhandini and Draupad throwing her out of the palace and closing the gates. Doesn't this show what a big failure of Draupad as a father and also throw dirt on the prestige of Panchal.???Each n every Father in the world pray for the most beautiful life for their daughters. I play the role of the Pandavas' strength, my character unifies / completes the Pandavas, and she also leads a life of bliss and suffering, can you guess who I am?
It's ... (drumroll please) ...
Pooja, without a doubt, is a superb actress. From the moment she emerges from the yagna kunda to the ______(insert last scene Pooja is shown)______, she has captured the hearts of everyone and has been praised by many. Her dialogues are punctual and sharp, her glances can be as innocent as a child or as angry as a lioness, and her voice can be soft and sweet or it can resemble the roaring of the clouds. Adorn her with expensive jewelry or give her the simplest of garments, experience the pains of rejection from her own father, tell her to be divided between 5 men and face the resulting dilemma, Pooja Sharma, as Draupadi / Panchali / Yagnaseni / Krishnaa / Wife of the Pandavas, has appeared strong, steady, and determined to make sure she lives up to that magnificent character.
Yikes! This one wasn't very easy and as much as I wanted to leave Pooja as the sole star of the month and make things easy for me, I would be doing great injustice to a certain somebody if I didn't. See what I did there with the whole injustice' thing ... yeah no it's not Karna, sorry (though Aham was stellar especially with his acting during the Swayamvar scenes). Aargh I hate this job already (insert winky face)!
Thus, with great admiration and joy, I call forth Jyesth Kuru Rajkumar, Draupadi's first hubby, the
beloved of Dharma - Yuddhistir, played by Rohit Bhardwaj. Rohit, in the recent February episodes, has performed amazingly by giving Yuddhistir a new feel. His ability to remain calm, yet throw anger simply from his glances has forced me to look back at some of his previous scenes where he doesn't get much dialogue or much screen time (back in January). And through re-watching every single episode, I realized that the best actor is one who makes extreme use of his screen time by making sure the impact is as powerful as it is subtle.
