Jalal although an emperor and very capable one seems poor judge of human character. He says all good pepole are bad and bad people are good.
Imagine which brother shall marry a sister to evil people like sharifuddin and abul mali? Poor sisters both are suffereing because of his wrong decision.
Then comes maham and adam entire agra dislikes them but for jalal they are like some saints
Ruqu acts foolish and arrogant time and again but she is his most favoured wife(though sometimes he gets irritated)
Salima, jodha, hamida are all to be shouted at humiliated and ignored as furnitures because they speak truth
When will jalal learn to recognise people?

well, we cannot be judgmental in this case because people could be nice to your face and then become enemies later for their own benefits..abul mali and shariffu could have been great warriors and must have won lots of battles for him, in return akbar must have given his sisters hand in marriage and given them power...and when power comes people change..he never trusted adham or thought him as a saint...maham raised him and protected him when he needed a mother the most..how can he forget that doodh ka karz!

A great leader/emperor is one who recognise who is faking and who is not faking a good judge of character. In real life akbar was a great judge of character except for maham anga because he had emotional attachment to her he never objected.
jalal must understand great warrior does not mean great husband, father and family man. And why he marrying his sisters to commoners who are anyways powerhungry are royal's not available to marry? like royals from other countries/empires??????

Jalal was raised by Mayhem so he is not willing to see the truth about her, he only tolerates Adham because of Mayhem, I hope pretty soon Jalal will start Mayhem's true colors😊

As for Sharif if you see the early part of serial he used to grovel before Jalal and show himself very loyal, he showed lot of bahaduri so Jalal got Bakshi Banu married to him.

Abul Mali - not much idea!

i cannot completely agree with this! MA is someone whom he loves blindly.. she has great influence over him, she for him is like mother and its hard for one to not trust a person whom u loves and considers like mother. its natural that Jalal will believe her!!! Ruq i personally believe is not a person bad at heart! she do llove jalal like a chldhood friend and is more obsessed with her position and regarding her position she gets insecurity and MA knowing how vulnerable ruq is shapes her opinions based on MA ideas. but at heart i believe ruq is good!!!
and of sharfuddin and abu mali! they turned out to be traitor! for a king its natural ppl around him wud envy and wud be wanting for the thrown!
of AK jalal only bears him coz of his love for MA!

My dear, Abul Mali waala rishta was made by Hakim's mother and then Hakim also made something similar after Mali's death.

As for Shariffudin - he was loyal at the start, it was the rishta which made him forget his loyalties and got him to believe that he could remove the Emperor and become the Emperor himself - this was ambition and greed that can come to anyone at anytime!!!

As for MA well she was there for him when there was no one else and lets not forget she was the first one to take the bullet that was meant for him when he was still an infant. So his giving her weight is generosity on his part and as for the rest that we are seeing in show - that is the makers ka exaggeration.

Ruqu was with him when he was a nobody and she is his best friend - dont we all overlook the faults of our best friends always? Is that not what friendship is all about? Yet he does not let her do anything and everything!!!

And coming to HB - what is being shown is again an exaggeration - Akbar always respected his elders specially his mother and this is a documented fact. And he also respected Salima and her opinion a lot. As for Jodha well what we see is also an exaggeration but let me say this respect is a two way street and what respect has the screen Jodha given to the screen Jalal. And if you are talking about the 'supposed' public humiliations - then all I will say is its a matter of perspective - what seems like a humiliation of Jodha by Jalal to many - does not seem so to me and i had made a post to this effect way back and have also posted something similar on another thread of mine about duty vs love.

pls what has good looks to do with marriage? Marriage in those times based on family, status and power rarely beauty and in 15th century groom and wife do not see face till after marriage unless they are related like cousins. So beauty had no importance much in those times like today. That is why you had great love stories because in those hardly anyone married for love or loved one below their class like mumtaz-shah jahan, jehangir-nur jahan etc Why do you think these people love is famous not because they loved but they loved and also married a non royal despie oppositions and against customs of those times. Akbar also married commoners but they were not made empress and given any power
ghenghis khan sons/grandsons married hungray princess, chinese princess, russian tsar daughters what is issue of jalla to marry his sisters/daughters in other empires? Why intermarry
