what is the ultimate parameter for a show's popularity?TRP/ commercial successOnline popularity/fan followingCritically acclaimedit is a known fact that Rangrasiya already got the last two points just after 1 month of airing.trp is really unpredictable for a show like RR.it is a love story but actually it doesnt have any saas-bahu/ family drama/ comedy angle. its a dark love story with a background of cross border/BSD.honestly the tejawat track should come to an end by next week.after that the show will have a completely new track to unfold the love story of PaRud
This might be premature to say, but I don't see RR ratings going up anytime soon and while that doesn't make anyone - the channel, PH, actors and us, happy, it isn't totally bad. The show apparently has 200 episodes ordered, so if they decide to end it after 200, then at least we can say (or hope) that there will be high quality content given. There are so many shows that have been on air for years, yet their plots and characters have become lost or monotonous. As long as the CVs give us an exciting story to tell until the end, the ratings don't matter. Besides, the TVT/TRP/whatever ratings system it is is highly problematic. Statistically it makes zero sense, so I don't put any faith in them. I wish the channels/PH wouldn't either, but oh well. Personally I'm enjoying the show greatly and I'm more engaged by this low rated show than all the other high rated shows.

MUMBAI: Improved performance of its fiction properties and a good start of the second season of its high-impact show Satyamev Jayate' have helped Star Plus, the reigning king of the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) genre, to cross the 700 million GVM (gross television viewership in millions) mark once again in the week ended 8 March.
The channel added 80 million GVMs, or 12.6 per cent, to its previous week's tally. The simulcast of SMJ' also had a rub-off on Life OK, the only other channel in the genre that saw a jump in viewership from 341 million to 373 million.
SAB was marginally up, while Zee TV, Colors and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) saw a dip.
The Hindi GEC category witnessed total GVMs of 2,883 million compared to 2,839 million GVMs it had grabbed in the previous week.
