Maharana Pratap Written Update - Episode 144 [23-1-2014]
Episode starts with the scene where the released rats are running towards the jungle. Bairam Khan sets fire to the beginning of the small paths full of gun-powder. They become delighted.
Rana Kheta mentions to his bhills that no one can survive from death but everyone can decide how they want to die. As the fire destroys the jungle soon, they have two alternatives - either they surrender to Bairam Khan or die with pride in the jungle. Rana Kheta chooses the later one.
Pratap surprisingly asks to Raghavendra about the decision taken by Rana Kheta. Raghavendra replies that Pratap has no moral right to question on Bhill's sacrifice especially when Pratap himself doesn't believe to surrender rather to die. Pratap requests in tension to Raghavendra that he wants to save them at any cost. Raghavendra notices a rat passing nearby & takes it in his hand saying if a rat can find a way from darkness, then they also can find a way to survive in this situation. Pratap finds a way. Raghavendra proudly mentions that he knows Pratap surely can find a way to survive. Pratap tells to Bhills that no one will die as Pratap has some plan.
Nathya, Chakrapani & Benidas take shelter in the temple of that village where Bairam Khan & his Mughal Soldiers are present. They notice the fire in the jungle. Nathya feels helpless as he can't do anything to help his family & friends in the jungle. Nathya wants to do something but Chakrapani & Benidas stop him. Chakrapani says when Pratap gives any promise, he always fulfils it. So how much he orders to do, just follow it.
The Bhills dig the land & create narrow but deep drains connecting to the hole made by the rats. Rana Kheta asks Pratap about the exact plan. Pratap explains that generally rats like to run through the hole made by them rather on the ground. They create a system for hauling up water to all the drains. When all the drains are filled with water, the holes made by rats are also filled with water. When the rats carrying the gunpowder go into the holes, they fear to see the stream of water & return back the place from where they come along with gunpowder & fire. In that way, the fire is put out to some extent.
Outside the jungle, Bairam Khan becomes delighted as his plan to kill Pratap is fulfilled with the help of rats. Suddenly they notice all the rats returning back. The fire is almost put out. Bairam Khan orders to his soldiers to catch the rats before they reach to the sack containing gunpowder. The soldiers follow the order, still one rat reaches the sacks of gunpowder & it results in explosion. Bairam Khan yells in anger.
Bhills becomes happy as Pratap's plan is successful. Pratap asks Rana Kheta that they surely stop the fire coming to the jungle but what's about that fire which already affects the portion of the jungle. Rana Kheta has already sent few experienced Bhills to put out the fire scattering some medicine. Rana Kheta tells that it's a big challenge for them to put out the fire in the jungle & it becomes possible only for Pratap.
Bairam Khan becomes unhappy. He asks to his soldier about the safety of the place where they stored the gunpowder. The soldier assures about the safety & mentions that he calls few villagers for this purpose.
Nathya prays for his family & friends. Benidas & Chakrapani inform him that the jungle is saved as the fire is put out. Nathya realizes Pratap never gives false promise.
Bairam Khan becomes surprised how Pratap does this as his plan is full-proof. As he is coming back to the village, he suddenly notices Nathya who doesn't know that Bairam Khan stands behind him. Nathya starts dancing & delightfully mentions the failure of Bairam Khan along with 40 thousand Mughal soldiers to Pratap. Bairam Khan becomes very angry & orders his soldiers to catch Nathya.
Uday Singh mentions to Rawatji that there is no news about Pratap's dealing with the Bhills. He again asks whether Bhills give permission to Bairam Khan to pass through the jungle. Rawatji confirms Bairam Khan still can't pass through the jungle as his informers have no such news. Uday Singh mentions that he will certainly reach to help Pratap after capturing Rao Surtan. Uday Singh orders to his soldiers not to attack Rao Surtan as he wants to catch Rao Surtan alive.
Rao Surtan orders his soldier to move forward to Bijoliya. He tells to Yusuf Khan to protect Bundi if Uday Singh attacks Bundi. Yusuf Khan hesitating as Bairam Khan doesn't know about this plan. Rao Surtan mentions that in Bijoliya, there are the three queens of Mewar along with royal treasury of Mewar. One servant informs that Uday Singh along with his army is coming fast to Bundi. Rao Surtan is trying to hide his tension saying that he knows it & Yusuf Khan easily handles it. He adds joyfully that if he captures the royal treasure along with Mewar queens then he can do anything with Uday Singh & easily defeats him also.
Bairam Khan badly tortures Nathya. He asks about whereabouts of Pratap. Nathya becomes determined not to answer as Pratap saves his jungle & motherland. Nathya mentions that it makes no difference if people like him die but it makes huge difference if people like him die to save Pratap. He gives advice to Bairam Khan to return Delhi & inform the badshah that though he can reign all over the world but never wins over the land where Pratap lives. Bairam Khan starts torturing more.
Rana Kheta says thanks to Pratap for saving the bhills & the jungle. Pratap says it becomes possible due to blessings of his guru, Raghavendra. Then Pratap takes the blessings from his guru. The Bhills presents Pratap an idol of the sylvan deity. Pratap thanks them saying when he returns, he certainly takes it with him to Mewar. Raghavendra asks him where he wants to go. Raghavendra adds that it's right they stop Bairam Khan but the danger is still not over. Pratap mentions that he knows it & he has to know about Bairam Khan's next plan for which he has to return the village joining Nathya & his friends. Pratap adds that he fears for his friends & Nathya.
Bairam Khan continues torturing Nathya. Suddenly Chakrapani & Benidas come when Bairam Khan is about to kill Nathya. Benidas confirms that Bairam Khan can get Pratap killing Nathya. Bairam Khan becomes very happy saying that he doesn't want to know about whereabouts of Pratap from them because as far he knows Pratap, Pratap soon comes to save them.
Pratap enters the village. The Mughal soldiers can't recognise him as he covers his face with dust.
