The next few days passed peacefully. Arnav was discharged from the hospital the very day but strict instruction were given to his family members to give him complete bed rest for a few days for his wounds to heal...

Having nothing to do all day except to wander his thoughts relating to his own emotional up-downs, made him more grumpy and cantankerous. No wonder the family found him a hard nut to crack dealing with his negotiations and dealing pattern on almost everything...

Nahi samjhe, here let me give some examples...😆😆😉

"Maa...if I will finish this plate of fruits, you got to let me stay out of the bed...what say, deal?...", and then being the mighty Arnav Singh Raizada, he refused to bargain...never allowing her to feed a slice extra of any damn fruit and got what he wanted to accompolish either by hook or crook. Well ahhm ahhm the marbled statues laying across at a nearby corner in his room, many times had to forcefully intake the overdose of never-ending love and Mamta of arnav's dearest mother...!!!

"bhabhi, allow me to be downstairs and for god sake out of this room...and then (whispering)...I will ask shyam bhai to take you on a holiday...and I know , you would love to go to Thailand, am I right? ..."...Arnav whispered to his dearest bhabhi, who first inured him with a stern look, reminding him of his history teacher during school days and then slowly broke into a beautiful smile, while a crimson reddish color settled on her cheeks.

"papa...I cant probably sit and do nothing all day, isn't it?...let me just go through that deal once and In return, maa will make you, your favourite gaajar ka halwaa...thats a promise...so, the pact done haa?" arnav once said to his father, pinching his neck in a promising gesture.

Not to mention, all day and night, khushi was missed intolerably maybe some less by her bestie and more by the other family people. She was used to all his tactics and had always known a counter-attack for all of them as a result, what the family used to witness, was their famous cat and dog fight...with both of them equally stubborn and egoistic, the sight...oops...fight was a treat to watch just like a daily soap with a new drama folding in each episode.

But here the cranky arnav was so difficult to handle, his unending demands making the resident of Shantivan wanting to pull their hair outs in frustration many times...

During this same time period, somewhere on the different portion of the planet, a certain Khushi kumara gupta was feeling dreadful since many days in a row... her heart was hinting to something that was seriously wrong...

In the last three days, whenever the burning sensation with increased quotient of her gruesomeness resurfaced, she had ranged her family at delhi only to hear from them, "don't worry beta/khushi/kookie , everything is fine..."

Arnav was, for sure, not calling her neither taking any of her calls, and she, due to guilty reasons refrained herself from taking the initiative. She had fallen for her best friend...a best friend who was to be married in a duration of less than a month to be accurate...OFCOURSE...being so selfless, she felt terrible about her own self and she was guilt stricken whenever her treacherous heart remembered HIM!

She tried to engag her time with her mamaji, who seemed to be observing her very minutely. He was the only one in the family who welcomed her warmly, when she had arrived at his place. His two sons, refusing to show-up even at such times. And Her Mamiji, initially taunted her a lot...looking at her designer wears and beautiful collection of delicate jewellery , comprising mostly of small pendants and earrings. All these were enough to provoke her deep buried feelings, and she was reminded of the fact, that all these could have been hers, only if they had won the court case many years back.

But all thanks to her husband involved in heinous crimes, they lost it to arnav's father and the key to immense lots of money and huge property was snatched brutally away from her shattering her every dream.

Owing to all these, she was bitter in her talks with khushi...she would leave no stone unturned to curse her whenever possible but then slowly, the goodness in khushi, her innocence made its impact on the cunning greedy lady especially when there were times, when she would be talking to her sons asking ...no scratch it, begging them to come and look after their father...and they would rightaway refuse to acknowledge the request, the pleadings...leaving a shattered mom to cry over her fate...she had got two sons but none among them was affectionate enough!...khushi was first hesitant but then gradually she would sit by her mamiji's side giving her a slightest idea and assurance of her presence.

Her goodliness proved its worth as mamiji, one day, apologized to khushi for behaving so cruel and harsh, thinking only and only about money instead of her one and only niece who was the only living memory of her nand and nandoi.

Khushi forgave her with all her heart and soon the three of them lived like a happy family relishing old memories which mamiji and mamaji shared with her about their parents, their love-story, their childhood even showing some old albums and photographs. Khushi would cry discreetly remembering them and missing her bestie very badly as he was the only one capable comforting her at such vulnerable times.

She longed to lock herself in her room and cry her heart out until her Arnav came up to her ordering her to open the damned door or else, he would break it. This had happened so many time to even keep a tab of the counting. Secretly khushi was so in love with this quality of Arnav - His dominance, over her, her life and their relationship.

The way he would claim his rights on her and make her act according to his likings and demands in turn would make her feel awesome but here, she was all alone. Without his comforting embrace where she could forget the entire world, without his reassuring hushing, without his affectionate warmth...!! Every second without him added to her misery.

She wished to traverse back in time and accept the proposal her bade papa had offered about marrying arnav. She felt like a fool to refuse such a golden opportunity. But back then, she had not realized her love for him and moreover he LOVED Sameera...!!!!!! Even if both of them are together, he wont be able to love her back the way she do...her love was one-sided and in no way, she was ever going to snatch his happiness which lies with sameera.

This was the reason, that despite craving for him, longing to have a glimpse of him, or listen to him atleast shout at her, her determination to stay away from him remained firm and intact.. Sameera's words had also made a deep impact on her innocent heart. Now that she knew, that she was actually In love with arnav, and one part of her mind always wanted to go back and make claim him back, she felt like a traitor in her own eyes.

All the accusations that Sameera had laid on her were eventually going to prove right, becoz her heart had betrayed her... maybe what sameera's observed back then was just an exaggeration of her jealousy but even if unconsciously both of them were so close, it meant only one thing...her heart had always known the fact that the feelings she had for her best friend were of pure love...

There was nothing like just friendship in it...but arnav was committed to sameera and was truly happy with her...so what if her feelings were not like a bestie...arnav for sure, must have seen her only as his friend. He had even agreed to marry her for the sake of her pride, but it dint prove that he loves her...and she wasn't going to let her feelings destroy his happiness.

So no matter how much she killed herself each day, she never spoke to him, nor conveyed the feelings of her broken heart...nor thought to go back to him, until sameera made her position strong in his as well as the whole family's life and all her inhibitions die out. Sameera want her to stay away, and she IS going to do that...

She talked with everyone else on phone but nobody mentioned to her about arnav nor did she asked for it. The family kept quite as they were sure, that they wont be able to lie to khushi and even if they did, from their tone and staggering, she would easily make out that something is wrong with her bestie. So to avoid all of these, they talked about random things indirectly hinting her to come back soon, but khushi never give in to their secret wishes...her decision firm like always!!

Sameera had also not visited arnav since the hospital incident. Everyone including arnav was extremely disappointed with her. But he stopped his family memebers to call her and ask her the reason as to why isn't she showing up. "if she needs time maa, then we should give it to her...she must be terrified and taking time to gather herself..." Arnav explained to his maa, who was continuously complaining about the irresponsible behaviour of her future daughter in law.

So true to arnav's words, Sameera was gathering herself...collecting every inch of her to face the harsh reality of her life that fate has bestowed upon her. She wasn't the one destined to be with arnav as his life partner...and she had to make arnav understand where his happiness truly lies. Obviously making such decision required immense will power and she was trying hard to make an entry at his place and speak out her heart. Making him aware of his feelings for khushi.

But even the thought of her speaking something on these lines was unbearable and after hours and hours of crying she would make herself strong only to break down the next second, thinking about her beautiful dreams related to her future...their future...well, there was no "their future" now.

Few more days passed, Arnav was almost fit and fine like earliar. One early morning, a girl in her early twenties, ranged the bell of RM and entered the house after greeting Arnav's mom with a pleasant hug and warm smile. She sat on the couch, chatting with the family members but her facial expressions changed when she found Arnav walking down the stairs with the help of Shyam. Her expressions showed her dislike towards THE great ASR clearly.
