As for the topic, no Kat cannot do a Leela! It's not her type of role! Though DP & Kat compete for similar roles, they are two very different actresses!

I think New York, Rajneethi, APKGK, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Namstey London are better than Deepika movies(she has been part of) that's only my opinion.

Both actress filmography is okay nothing special but Deepika is a much better actress.

one thing for sure, this movie wont be Super Hit if it's not cause of Deepika's spot on acting,and on how she portray leela, she is magical in this role and that charm of her just make u couldnt take your eyes from her, sure her chemistry with leading man also amazing cos it also wont work w/o it, but trust me this movie wont happening if it's not cause of her, put other actress, it'll flop. She is the next SLB's IT Girl after Aish

as for the exploding chemistry between the 2 main lead, i doubt other actress will have the same intensity she share with ranveer

that girl just can create amazing chemistry with her co-stars

as for Katrina, I think she's good at where she is now, she just need a good script that can really bring out her talent. She's good on NL and MBKD but both kinda same genre, so we'll see what she has on the plate later this year

Topic started just to bash Katrina. As if bashing her in all the other threads wasn't enough.

I would have made this topic more interesting and said could Parineeti or PC or Anuska have done Leela? And you would get more variety and interesting response than comparing Katrina and DP.

And I agree with LangdaT- I think Katrina's filmography is much better than Deepika's. And am not talking about performances or roles here ..just quality of films..Katrina has better films. And that's why most of DP films before this year were flops and Katrina almost all her films were hits.

Am obviously in the minority but I don't think Deepika is that much of a better actress than Katrina. Katrina can do emotional scenes well too..have you seen her in Rajneeti? DP just cares more about her performance and works hard at delivering while Kat don't really think she's passionate about acting. And like LangdaT said being a better actress than Katrina is nothing to be proud of.

I think Kat could have done Leela but I don't think she can do CE. Someone posted gifs of DP from CE making those weird faces. That scene was so embarrassing to watch. She wasn't funny at all. What bad acting. More like a horror scene than funny. Apart from that scene, she was good in the movie.

PC and rural roles???? Don't remember any movie and if she tried it will fall flat with her plasticky face. Same goes for Anushka. I am tired of seeing her in loud mouthed spunky Punjabi roles. She's talented she should try different things... I find most of her roles very repetitive and I fear Pari will also fall in the same category of spunky roles. That's exactly why I like DP this year. Variety. Not one role is similar to the other and she has tried her best to do justice to every role. The only other actors who have a variety of projects are kangana , Vidya and Peecee. Who else????

Deepika is the better actress for sure; she is more versatile. Whereas Katrina has played it safe so far. Sure her dancing has improved, but not much to be said about her acting. Maybe because she doesn't experiment a lot.

I think Katrina gave her career best performance in Namastey London. This is one role I don't think Deepika would have played as efficiently, even though she is known for her party girl image; it just suits Katrina more.

New York is a close second when it comes to my favorite performances of Katrina. She was a natural in both roles, whereas in Jab Tak Hai Jaan her performance felt forced. I want to see her play a role on the lines of Jasmeet again.

And please don't say MBKD was a hit because of Imran. What about GTPM? The guy can't act, let alone carry a film on his shoulders. Akshay definitely helped Katrina's career, nobody can deny that, but she is the heart of Namastey London. It is essentially her film as it was about Jasmeet's journey, Akshay was introduced much later.

Why not...of course she could have done RL...maybe her acting and Dialogue delivery would not have been as good as deepika's...but if anyone thinks that RL was a hit because of acting then God bless them 😉 😆
