Bhanumathy says to Seetha...
Your mother left you to me before she closed her eyes and died. How I took care of you like my own daughter. But you never thought of me as your mother! If you were born to me, would you have gone against me? I never took care of my own daughter Priya as much as I did for you. Is this the gratitude you show me?
Priya tells Seetha...
Listen, whatever our mother says, it is for our own good. Only if you listen to her, our lives would be good.
Bhanumathy says...
We have already told you what's on our mind. Our lives are in your own hands.
Both villis leave... Seetha cries. Villis go to dining room to eat and Priya orders one almond milk for Bhanumathi. Chitra comes over and says why don't you order it with all the nuts as well... Villis shocked. Chitra mockingly says she only can drink it here and where else and tells her not to feel shy about ordering and eating from in-law's house. She says this is like her wn house.
Bhanumathy also agrees, saying she gave both daughters to this house so this is also like her house. She says she is very upset missing her daughters. Chitra tells her not to worry and says she will take care of them. She says Bhanumathy should take care of her husband.
Sumithra's husband comes and enquiries about Bhanumathi and asks her about how the house is. Bhanumathi praises it and says it's like a temple. She gives a look at Chitra and says the occupants are so caring that she wants to stay here. Sumithra's husband agrees but Chitrabsays Bhanumathi is too independent to stay here.
Sumithra husband asks Chitra to pass a file to his brother Devaraj who is writing poetry upstairs, regarding business. Chitra calls Bhuvana but her brother-in-law tells her to give it personally and to be responsible. Priya and Bhanumathi laugh quietly while Chitra is irritated. She tells Seetha to come to her room later and leaves.
She goes upstairs and throws the file on the floor. Devaraj asks her why she is so angry. Chitra says his brother is treating her like a servant in front of Bhanumathy as well and that she is ashamed. She says it is his fault and if he did well at business, they would not be have to be in this position. Devaraj says his brother is very honest to them in financial matters and she has no right to talk. Chitra says Devaraj also owns half of everything here and her son Ram is working day and night for the business. Devaraj says his brother bought Ram a car but Chitra says her son's brilliance is responsible for that which has caused the companies to have a lot of profits and she herself is the cause for it.
She tells Devaraj for all the humiliation she has suffered after marrying him, she is going to make all that disappear through her son. Devaraj says she is the one who humiliates the others in the family and Chitra agrees and says it is because of him. She says she wants to earn a place in society not by sitting in a corner like him. Devaraj says she should think for the whole family's good, not only for Ram.
Bhanumathy and Priya scold Seetha for doing work every time and plan something together. Priya helps Seetha to put henna on her hand. Chitra sees this and is angry and says she was supposed to make gulab jamun and asks who asked her to put henna. Priya intervenes saying she and Sumithra will make it. Chitra understands everything and ask Seetha to wash her hands.
