I think it could be because Harshad may have suggested a treatment for Gatu's condition as he is a doctor, and Ba may have really hated his suggestion and out of anger he might have got kicked out

Again, this could be completely wrong...but why would a forgiving person like Ba kick his son out and not ask for him to return??

i cannot realli predict..well gud prediction...in cmong weeks i guezz the story will be unfold ...it's been more than a year..that the story has not been told!!!
i think they will surely do it now! 😊 😊 😊

Was the reason finally given out in any of the episodes?

I now guess AFTER watching some of the episodes, that Baa didn't want to make other brothers dependent on Harshad's huge salary. But can this be the only reason for their long and dreaded seperation? Can ba be so selfish to think about only other 4 brothers, not even a single time about Harshad???????????

Or was it because of not liking Shilpa initially??????? Not sure though. but can be a likely reason

the real reason is that ba did not want other brothers and bahus to feel inferior because of harshad and shilpa's huge salary it was in on of the episdes

yeah i agree with hemal desai, in one of the older episodes they did reveal it... harshad had alot of money but the rest didn't and baa didn't want her other sons to have high hopes because then they would all stop workin and use everythin that harshad owned... basically become spoiled brats...

^^^^ Yup, they're right, the story was unfolded during diwali, when baa wanted to know the reason of harshads return, so he said "tell me why you kicked me out and i'll tell you why im here..." so i guess if you want to watch it look for the weekend where we were told about somil's illness... 😊
