It's 12 years since the first episode of Kutumb aired and
We are here to celebrate it's 12th anniversary.It started right
at the beginning of the 21st century and now after more than a decade,
it continues to be a trendsetter,inspiring so many other shows.
What made it so special was it's simplicity and realism and most
importantly, the fact that it gave us Gauri and Hiten.
Kutumb 1
Kutumb portrayed the love-hate relationship between Pratham and Gauri.
It was a complete family drama with a strong
supporting cast. Pratham and Gauri are still remembered and missed by fans.
They weren't perfect and that's what made them so special.
Both were egoistic and weren't ready to change their ways.
WHile Gauri had strong values, Pratham was a big time flirt spoilt rotten by his family.
How these two totally different people managed in their relationship formed the basis of the story.

Pratham's past continues to haunt him in the form of a girl who claims to be his daughter. This creates a lot of
misunderstandings between Pratham and GAuri but Pratham finally proves his innocence.

Gauri and Pratham celebrate their first wedding anniversary: Episode 135
GAuri and Pratham feel that they are way too different and might not be able to adjust with each other. Gayatri explains them
about the importance of relationships. They share some nice mements: Episode 143
GAuri has a miscarriage after she meets with an accident while folllowing Hiten, who is cheating on Sanskriti. Pratham holds
her responsible for the loss odf their child and it creates a major fight netween the two: Episode 144
A lot of circumstances lead to Pratham and Gauri almost going for a divorce but their love for each other emerges as the
winner and they reunite. A mini leap happens and their children are shown.: Last episode,Episode 163
Special mention to the bonding between Gauri-Gayatri, Pratham-GAyatri, Pratham-Umesh, Pratham and his uncles.
The Mittal family is probably the best family in the history of television.
Kutumb 2
Kutumb came back with a season 2. Although the story was not upto the mark, it gave us a glimpse of the offscreen chemistry brewing between Gauri and Hiten. There were many good moments in the show. GAuri and Pratham were the ideal lovers who trusted each other immensely. They shared a beautiful bond.
