The title of my topic is what it is because we have always identified every single member of the D3 cast with dance, as Dancers first and everything else later. But the last two episodes of D3 have reaffirmed an impression in my head that had once been given voice to by Palki ma'am in an interview: that there are times when it becomes difficult to put one's finger on which is the correct order of Shantanu's progression on and via D3, is he a dancer who became an actor or an actor who became a dancer? Basically, this post is to congratulate Shantanu for his performance in the last two episodes of this week's D3, because he was phenomenal in them. Period. šŸ‘

And I'm talking very specifically about the last two episodes, namely the scenes that follow SwaRon's coming out of the Announcement Room, where Sharon denies their relationship in front of the gang. I won't get into too much descriptive detail of what his expressions were or how brilliant Shantanu was at portraying them, we all saw it ourselves and my typing them out will take something away from them, which I absolutely don't want to do. But I will say that for me personally that one shot where Swayam is looking at Sharon with disbelief as she lies, and there's just one tear in his eye as he looks at her, stunned...is one of the most impactful shots in the entire episode. Credit for that is due also to the director, of course, but more than anyone else I'd like to applaud Shantanu for performing it in a way that made it effective enough to make sure a million hearts broke along with Swayam's to see what he saw and hear what he heard. Similarly, the way he performed in the ReYam scene, saying as much to himself as to Rey that he's okay and will handle this maturely; promising himself as much as Rey that he won't let this affect anything in his life the way he usually does; holding back his tears with a tremendous effort to keep himself steady and strong...the body language, the dialogue delivery, the mood, he made everything work exactly as it needed to, and the result was another brilliantly effective scene. šŸ‘ šŸ‘ šŸ‘

I've always respected Shantanu for the dancer he is, and over the years have come to respect him as an Actor just as much. And I think there are many like me who'd like to wish him all the very best as both Dancer and Actor, and hope he keeps growing and learning and making us proud like he's doing with every passing episode of D3. Touchwood for him, I say.

It's my favourite scene too. That one tear drop not falling from his right eye and the disbelief on his face hearing what he heard was a classy shot from the actor's point of view and director's too.

And yes, the last two episodes, from Sharon's denial to Sharon's pleading to Swayam in his house have been some hell of a scene. Brilliant acting, script, direction, editing, everything. I think for me, it was the first time, after switching off TV at 7.30pm i said to myself "F*CK!! I want to cry" šŸ˜† And all credits to Shantanu. Ofcourse Vrushika is doing a tremendously good job too. But this time script makes you feel the pain Swayam is going through, and you feel sympathetic towards him and Maheshwari is doing the best job portraying Swayam to make you even more heart broken. I'll give Vrushi credits too. She is his better half when it comes to scenes. Together they made it impactful and highly painful 🄺

So yeah. A lot of things runs in Shantanu Maheshwari's blood. It's his nature. Genuineness, honesty, good looks, dancing and now acting šŸ˜Ž

PS: Yes I applauded the acting and script. But that doesnt mean I am okay with such a sad script. Please make them patch up ASAP without dragging. I dont want them to be written in the stars but neva gonna happen couple. 🤢 I want happy SwaRon šŸ˜”

Thank you for this post Nandini!

We witnessed a phenomenal performance by Shantanu in the last 2 episodes. Any random person watching the scene would for sure be surprised to know that he initially was only a dancer who is now an actor cum dancer. Or wait, is he a dancer turned actor or an actor turned dancer?

Coming to the scene where Sharon lies, the one tear drop he was holding back, his disbelief to the words spoken was so brilliantly portrayed. Following which the scene where he tries to tell Rey and to himself that he will handle things maturely brought tears in my eyes. Only a good actor can make people cry or laugh along with him/her and Shantanu does that with perfection.

The life he brings into Swayam makes us love the character even more. I would like to applaud Shantanu for giving us Swayam and such breathtakingly wonderful performances.

Nandu šŸ¤— I note the period after The Actor - perhaps that summarizes all that needs to be said about this guy, who just came out of the blue two and and a half years ago and stole hearts just like that...I'm sure the way it was then - not many wuld have given him a lot of chance but then that is a loonng story and we have come a loonng way alright...yes, these days the question as to whether the actor Shantanu is superior or the dancer Shantanu has stopped existing coz he has brought it to a pinnacle and a pedestal where both meet and smoothly gel, u just see Shantanu the Magical Maheshwari 😊
As u have stated, the scenes that have marked another transition stage in the SwaRon saga currently have been majestically enacted by our favourite characters/actors...for me, never for a moment from the time since Sharon denied the relationship in front of the gang till the moment they ended yesterday's scene at home...have I stopped visualizing anyone else but Swayam...he was just simply refined, at ease and set in those emotions...his scenes in Reyam were heartwrenching...the way he went thru the taunts at each stage and restrained himself from reacting made u react for him and his shock when Sharon denied their relationship...that "ground slipping beneath your feet" expression was enough to create a havoc of reactions in the fandom even before the episode was aired...but what took the cake for me - personally - was yesterday, when Sharon said i luv u to him, and his reaction to that...the thrill of hearing what he had been yearning to, yet unable to retain faith anymore in matters of the heart and having to decide with the mind - the transformation of emotions on his face - well - left me speechless...I'm not gonna forget that in a long long time...

Touchwood to him indeed and feel privileged to b his fan !!!!

The strength of Shantanu - the actor is his versatility. He can pull off any kind of performance that too perfectlyšŸ‘šŸ¼. He can do romantic, passionate, comedy, cute, intense, aggressive even he can do negative very well. He deserve every award for his acting skills. I dont understand hw cum he didn't get any award yet. Coming to last two episodes, i dont remember his expression at d tym when sharon denied there relationship but yes i did fall in luv wid ReYam scene. As an audience i can feel d pain in swayam's eyes n in voice too. Swayam was trying hard to resist his pain which he felt after d denial of sharon to there relationship. His pure luv for sharon turned into a mockery and an act of desperateness. He was trying hard not to let effect dis situation on his work as he promised to himself n rey too. Hats off to Dis man. Nobody can do justification to d character of swayam as shantanu did. RESPECT

Beautiful post Nandini Di 😊
Agree with each and every word penned down there:)
Though im very much depressed with the swaron story, but few things I thoroughly enjoyed watching and it was nothing but the beautiful portrayal of swayam and Sharon by Shantanu and Vrushika respectively! As it is a Shantanu post, I'll mention only Shantanu's portrayal of swayam,of all my favourites from this week:):)
Starting from, the class room convo of swaron to house convo of swaron, showed different facet of swayam!Beginning from the swaron convo in the classroom, one thing which surprised me was the way Shantanu brought in the change from a stubborn swayam to the trying-hard-in-love swayam was just impeccable! As the scene started off with Sharon screaming at him,and swayam just ignoring her,Shantanu here showed the exact attitude, swayam was supposed to but then the very next moment when he just saw tears in Sharon's eyes, the lover side of swayam just melted, this is where his expression changed beautifully! The dialogue "Sharon, boldo humare beech ke sab problems katam hojaenge" it just touched me:) The voice modulation brought in by him was excellent!! I just loved that part, and as you mentioned, the tear and breaking down of swayam from inside when Sharon said no, and yet hoping that Sharon would accept, was beautiful, beautiful and beautifully portrayed by Shantanu! The tears flowing out of his eyes actually showed how much natural his portrayal of swayam was, that one could actually feel the heartbreak swayam was going through!! I would say, he actually made me connect with the situation of swayam!! Shantanu kudos to you for such beautiful and naturalistic portrayal of swayam:)
How could I forget Shantanu's solo scene of swayam breaking down before himself!! This part is where I actually got disappointed with Sharon for doing this. He portrayed it so well, that I got real disappointed with Sharon for ruining swayam's life!! Amazing portrayal of swayam by Shan here:)
My most loved part, was a scene few days back, where swayam says 'the game is on my love' my god, this dialogue with the expression and voice pitch of swayam actually made me wish for a swayam in my real life too.:P Shan, don't set standards for boys that mein kuwari hi rehjau :P swayam is always known for his loverboy antics but here I felt it was Shantanu's loverboy side. The fact is no one else can ever play swayam-the loverboy as well played by Shantanu! Shantanu, this is your forte!!
And one more favourite of mine was, definitely yesterday's episode where, both Vrushika and Shantanu did an exceptional job,but my personal dialogue was when Sharon says I love you, and the slight smile of swayam was just a dreamy stuff for me!! I just loved Shantanu's expression there and then the sudden change in expression brought by him was fab!!
As ishita said, without a partner like Vrushi,Shan wouldn't have brought in such an amazing piece of work!!so credits to Vrushi too for supporting him throughout!! VruShan are one such partner-actors who make us laugh with them and also cry with them!! Especially yday's acting was just class apart!! People who say chemistry is missing, I advice them to got get their eyes checked!!

To conclude, one sentence, I lived swayam, through shantanu, the whole week! He actually made me understand those emotions of swayam through his brilliance in acting!! Dancing is his forte, but now he has conquered acting arena too! Keep going Shan!! We loved your portrayal of swayam!!

Thanks Di for this post:)

Maheshwari boy is indeed rocking the episodes. Particular mention would be the Announcement room scene and the ReYam scene. *fatafati*
I did not have the heart to watch the scene where Sharon just left Swayam proving him to be a delusional stalker 😭 but I'm sure Shantanu owned it.

Shantanu has evolved so much as an actor, that Its hard for a person now to say if he transformed from an actor to dancer or a dancer to actor...!!!! I would say he is pure talent.. He gives his 100% in what ever he does and the output is he turns out to be THE BEST in those.. šŸ‘

That particular scene where Sharon denied their relationship in front of him was portrayed phenomenally by Shantanu.. The teary eyes, unbelievable look on his face.. OUTSTANDINGLY done by Shantanu.. From that scene to yesterday's SwaRon scene, he owned each and every scene he was involved in!!! Specially that ReYam scene where he held back his tears and tried to be strong in front of rey was just brilliant...

Its difficult for a person to not sympathies Swayam when Shantanu is giving such an awesome performance as Swayam.. He brings life to Swayam's character... I was on a verge to cry seeing the pain Swayam was going through

Thank you for this post Nandu di..

- A proud Shantanu Maheshwari fan..!
