Sexual Assault: Asaram's last hope Jethmalani fails,No bail for godman

The last hope of self-proclaimed godman Asaram Bapu, who landed in legal trouble in connection with sexual assault case, seems to have gone in vain. The senior Supreme Court advocate Ram Jethmalani too failed to get him bail.Jethmalani on Monday, Sept 16 moved the Rajasthan High Court seeking bail for Asaram whom a local court in Jodhpur denied bail earlier. Judicial custody of the spiritual leader has been extended till Sept 30

72-year-old Asaram was arrested in connection with a sexual assault case in which he was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old minor girl in his ashram near Jodhpur, Rajasthan.Meanwhile, counsel for the girl, who was allegedly sexually exploited by Asaram Bapu, on Sunday claimed to have received threats from followers of the self-styled godman. Lawyer of the victim, claimed that the threat was issued to a friend of the victim's father asking him to withdraw the statements of her daughter against Asaram.

ASaram bapu has a following running into several crores of devotees. Recently he has been under controversy for allegedly raping a minor devotee. the matter has gained wide mediacoverage. he has been denied bail though his lawyer the famous Mr. jethmalani tried his best. IS he being dealt with harshly for being famous or does he deserve the harsh measures?
do you think he is guilty or being framed and why?

With the amount of accusations against him I'm pretty sure he is guilty. The two workers from his ashram has surrendered themselves, so expect more revelations.

Jodhpur: Senior advocate Ram Jethmalani on Tuesday called a female journalist shameless' and asked her to shut up when she asked question pertaining to the case of alleged sexual assault of a minor by godman Asaram Bapu. Jethmalani is representing the tainted guru in a Jodhpur court.
He also said that the media was mentally unstable.
😆
One of country's most famous criminal lawyers, Ram Jethmalani, who has appeared for convicts like Manu Sharma, is currently defending tainted Asaram Bapu in the case of alleged sexual assault of a minor.
Despite his legal genius, the high-profile counsel couldn't secure a bail for the god man as court extended the judicial custody till September 30. During the court proceeding, senior advocate Ram Jethmalani was rebuked on Monday by judge Nirmaljeet Kaur, saying he was not appearing for him in a trial but it was a bail hearing.
He had said the girl is mentally ill. She and her family have registered the FIR at the behest of Bapu's detractors. On the fateful night, the girl didn't tell anything to her parents.
They got up and had their breakfast. and returned to Shahjahanpur. Then, they came back to Delhi after four days to register the FIR. This is a conspiracy against Asaram, claimed Jethmalani.

He's simply an oaf-turned-con-man in the endless list of names. Remember, there are two types of Godmen - one who have been exposed and the other that haven't. In this regard if there's someone who's guilt surpasses that of Ass-ram, its his brainless followers who made this rickshaw-puller the owner of a 5000-crore empire with their sheer stupidity and gullibility, which they proudly wear on their sleeves as 'faith'. This is not really the first instance; there have been numerous stories where educated people have offered their wives and daughters to their gurus, to be raped and abused for years, with the hope of removing 'dosha' from their destiny or some other bullcrap reason..Even then you find several women devotees are still defending their guru..This is called religious indoctrination.

I would request people to go through these articles :

I remember sometime ago we had this massively popular cult leader in Quebec. He was considered so legitimately a man of God that even a small town mayor and his wife joined his cult. The mayor and wife became spokespersons for the cult and more and more people started joining.
Then, one fateful day, he gathered all his hundreds (or thousands, I don't remember) of followers in a remote town in Quebec and ordered them to kill themselves. That idiot initiated a mass suicide. Parents killed their children before they kill themselves, all due to the influence of this "Godsent" buffoon who claimed to be a prophet.

Asaram or whoever is nothing more than a cult leader. Run for your lives before his greed gropes you in. As for being guilty, H.E.L.L. to the Y.E.S. And you know what? The followers will never admit it. That is the definition of being in a cult. Turns out that he is not only a rape apologist but a convict himself.

There is a huge difference between Real Saints and Fake Saints...Godmen from all religion should be equally put in media's analysis...not selective trial and publicity. when u speak of fraudsters they are there in every religion every nation and any party... All people must ensure religious leaders don't escape from the law. But with our minority appeasement, will that happen?...All religious frauds should be prosecuted. Why are there no convictions of Catholic priests in child abuse cases? And what about abuses in Madarasas as well as the reprehensible practice of girls as young as 15-16 being married off to old men among Muslims in nikaahs that do not have real consent?...media and public should expose them and bring them to justice.. We should keep our society clean by getting it rid of superstitions and blind faiths..
