I donot understand this whole elitist attitude towards movies like grandmasti both by critics as well as some of us.
The film makers have made no pretenses abt telling what the movie is about ...they have marketed it as an adult sex comedy. It has an A rating in India which anyway limits the audience. The youth and the masses both are flocking the theatres as it is giving them full on entertainment and fun.

I particularly find the rickshawalla comment very offensive ...these " rickshaw wallas " work very hard and literally with their hard earned money watch movies as that is their only source of escapism from their tough lives . So if grand masti gives them the entertainment they want I am all for it.

Incidently I havn't watched the movie , maybe will catch it at home later ...different movies have different audiences , not every movie is meant for everyone.

There is absolutely nothing wrong about the film being watched, but I am unhappy that these audience dont value good films as well.Once Bollywood will stop making good films and then what shall happen? The audience of Grand Masti, I request you to all come and watch The LunchBox.

All the dubba walas, chai boys and rickshawalas also I request you to watch the film.

there is an audience which likes art movies as well in india. nd art movies, experimental cinema, and sci-fi will have to wait in india, till poverty, illiteracy etc. reduces. like why the hell a rikshawala would like to see lunchbox or any this kinda movie? it won't make them feel better or entertained. masala movies provides an escape from their lives to them.

Didn't expect this from a educated person... GM has Urban Double meaning dialouges, which masses hardly get it in this kind of formats... some do but not the majority which u talking... GM is plex smash hit... means youth of india... next time get the target audience correct for any movie before commenting on dem.

I know what kind of jokes it had. Infact, just because of the very positive reviews I tried watching it at home but stopped after the first 15 minutes.. a few jokes were funny but too direct. The truth is that its mostly rickshaw and chai walas who are perverts and are always eager to watch such vulgar films, they don't care about the jokes.. for them its all about the exposure. Now don't quote me, because this is what I know and believe. I know you'll disagree because you yourself liked the film. Besides, I didn't say its ONLY the rickshaw/chai wale who enjoyed watching it.. so calm down.

I agree with that point too, they want masala in their hectic lives but keeping in mind the quality of films, a film like Lunchbox is a vegetarian dish for them, which is quite good for them.

Masala is good, like the heavy foods we enjoy but we should also have some veggies for good health.😆
