why not just say he wants to do it. (i.e. there is no compulsion, but he is making it his choice)

He did explain to Saanchi earlier in Jaitsar and also to Sumi in the hospital. He explained that he WANTS to do this. He explained further that it goes beyond a 'one day help' and further elaborated how Ganga will come back and work in the Jaitsar hospital.

Now, he just gives them the abridged version. It is stifling for him too, to have to explain his motives every time he does something for Ganga.

I think 'responsibility' has some connotation of guilt to it. Like I did something wrong, now I need to make it right.

I think 'want' has joy written all over it -- no guilt - Just a desire born out of the joy of one's heart.

@khusi thanx 4 the update. 2day i liked the epi in general except sanchi in kitchen scene. but i loved the way jagya shouted @ her.👏i think jagya shud now start thinking abt his going on wid relation wid sanchi .

i liked Jagan scene. that was so w'ful. as usual srishank has done v.gud job.👏

VO-so apt. sanchi can't pretend anymore. i wish her mask cums off ASAP in front of all.

pre-cap -ira is so disgusting like sumi.🤢how can she give that "dhamaki"??🤢

I agree to a certain degree.

Initially. Helping Ganga was also Jagyas way of atoning for his sins against Anandi.
His encouragement, guidance, and advocacy was his way of making up for the deficit he had towards Anandi. This is no longer the case becaus he is finding inner peace in helping Ganga and Mannu. He wants to now help them for himself and not out of compulsion anymore. Remember when he said that no matter how tired he is when he sees Mannu he forgets all his fatigue. That's also metaphorical for Mannu and Ganga being therapeutic for him.

His 'responsibility' has evolved from onesided to mutually beneficial. Not that it wasn't before, but now it is more so because he doesn't view it like a burden to be done with within a certain timeframe.

I don't think responsibility necessarily has a negative connotation

it is sometimes not forced but quite voluntary , as sector says , a want . When responsibility is voluntary it automatically becomes a want . And if the fiancee does not understand that this voluntary responsibility is his psychological need that unburdens his soul and demands he should give up the very tool that helps him to unburden , there is no mental matching and its best the marraige is called off , Anandi's saasra or not .

Thanks for the update. Sectoreight and others, Jagia is not saying it is his responsibility towards

Ganga, because he is defensive in front of Sanchi and hence explain himself, but this is exactly how

he feels about Ganga. He knows Ganga very well how she is new to the outside world, Ganga

Came to him at his insistance and promise. So naturally he likes to do his best for her.
