Smrth, again it brings us back to hggs brilliant post on limited choices vs free choices. In whatever limited options she had, she did not crumble, picked the right one acc to her, in the circumstances and is now "man" enough to stand by it and want to make the best of it and not walk away.I loved your rationale too of doing it so that her father is cushioned from the realization of the impact of his disastrous choice. It is in keeping with her character. She is the victim, yet she refuses to be one, and stands tall and strong.Saras IMO, will always be the guilty one here, his unthinking act caused this. She too could have chosen to hide behind the same excuse of emotional trauma, crumbled and collapsed, but she did not, she made a choice, and so she feels she must lie in the bed she herself made!
Hey, thanks to all for various views for defending and condemning Saras and Kumud. Each of you have lovely explanations and analogy for your pov.
That goes on to suggests nothing is clear cut right or wrong and both sides are debatable. We as viewers relate it to our own understanding of life and its complexities and take sides with the personalities we identify with.I notice the point missed is Kumud is choosing to stay in the marriage not out of helpless desperation for food and shelter. My admiration is for her choice to take the challenge, which none of us in the forum probably wouldn't have done.(apologies if anyone has said differently and I missed)Pramad is irredeemable and a lost case, Kumud will not give up without trying. Why should she even try? It is The Kumud Sundari Desai happy in doing things which majority of us dare not.Why is she not granting forgiveness? Has she not come down from her pedestal lately? How can one be impassive to mistakes of one's loved ones. It hurts to be angry but if she didn't care, she would not be driving the point to him. Saras has a long way to go before he can rise above his personal trauma.

After an active week-end for CB folks filled with intense debate on the Kumud-Saras love story...here is a love song from a different world! It's a classic piece of country music.I like the bit that goes...From the backways to the Broadway shows,With a million miles in between,There're at least a million love songsThat people like to sing. And every one is differentand every one is the same...This is just another way of sayin' the same thing...😊
Besides, we need to remember, she is answering to Saras. She won't permit any scar on her father's judgement in front of any third person. And least of all in front of Saras. Remember how fiercely she jumped on him when he so much as uttered a question to VC's misjudgement regarding Haweli papers? It's Natural. For wives are generally fiercely protective of their parents' respect- specially when 'a husband' is observing something amiss. 😲 So obviously, she is bound to accept and act as her own decision. But one more question- do you think for Pag ferra, rasam, BD will send 'Navinchandra' along with Kumud, in view of Ineligible Pramad?!😃 What a shock it would be to all of them?!😲
Just a quick FYI...the quote from the 'Assistant Director' is wrong! Nitesh Singh left the show a month ago and he told a friend of mine (this is up to you guys to believe) that he never even said that. Plus he was annoyed that they called him the AD when he was actually the director LOL.
Jenny also replied to me to say that the show isn't ending & it has a long way to go.
Maybe this should be a seperate topic but I don't want people to rely on my words completely. But bottom line is, tellybuzz seems to be making up quotes now too.
