Actors are just the medium, puppets who bring creatives story to life making it believable via their acting. A well defined character coupled with actor's capacity to bring all its nuances to life on the screen makes it pleasurable experience to both viewers (for their viewing satisfaction) and creatives (who get the nod to their efforts). Most of the time actors are on the frontline taking either kudos or bearing the brunt of the viewers displeasure. When displeasure exceeds kudos, audience starts thinking about the hands holding actors strings and that is when creatives are held responsible for shortcomings in their plot. Viewers are lenient to a large extent giving plenty of chances to the creatives to do damage control to their story. It is only when the plot consistently goes downhill, do we start questioning the quality of creatives work. As it is, at the end of the day it is their story and they MUST be held responsible for it and must accept the ownership of it without any immature tweets to fans. For them it is afterall a business at the end of the day and goal must be to succeed while appeasing the TRP audience without complaints.
