MY PRINCE CHARMING

"Toh tai raha Virat aur Manvi ki shaadi ek mahine baad hogi" she heard Manvi's soon to be sasuma tell to beeji.

She had always wanted her sister to get the best and in a month she was going to get married to the love of her life. She could see her soon to be jiju looking lovingly at her little sister and her sister blushing and looking down.

'Time flies very fast' she thought. It was only a few years back when she would run behind her sister to make her eat food and today she has grown so old that she is getting married. She was in her thoughts when something caught her eyes or say someone. She could see her jiju's brother gazing at her. She didn't know why but it made her conscious. She immediately adjusted her dupatta and this broke his gaze. He lowered his gaze and brushed his hair to avoid the awkward moment.

She smiled seeing his efforts to overcome the embarrassment. Seeing her smile he also smiled at his madness. Soon the Vadheras made their way out with a promise to meet soon for Virat and Manvi's engagement.

It was now her responsibility of her sister's marriage. She was none other than Jeevika Chaudary. She wa doctor by profession. She loved her sister the most in the world. Their parents died at a very young age and so she was Manvi's mother, sister and everything. Until one day her sister told her about Virat – her love. He was from a rich family about which she was scared because she thought he would be a spiled brat but when she met him he was matured and in a good position too. He loved her sister too much and knew he would take care. Their family was also very nice. Remembering about their family her thoughts drifted back to Viren – Virat's elder brother. She heard from Manvi that he had completed his studies from abroad and was a lawyer. She also told her that he let his brother marry first because his brother had found his miss perfect but he still hadn't found his. 'what did he mean by 'miss perfect' thought Jeevika. She also remembered how he was staring at her when he had come earlier that day. 'He is cute' she thought. She was surprised at herself as she had never thought anything like this for anyone. All her life she had spent it to make her Mannu's wishes true. Whenever the topic was brought up she wouldn't take it seriously. It was not that she didn't want to marry. Of course she did, but she also had few dreams about her 'prince charming'. She wanted him to be good looking of course but also witty charming and yess – understanding. She wanted him to understand her work, her love for Manvi and most of all understand her love. She was never one who could express her love very well.

"Di", Manvi called out.

"Haan bol Mannu" she said.

"kya soch rahi ho? Viren ji ke bare mein?? " she asked teasingly.

"ab Viren ji beech mein kahan se aa gaye??" she asked confusedly.

"kyun  subah jo aap dono aankhon hi aankhon mein ishaare kar rahe woh kyat ha?? Huh? " she teased her.

Now it was time for her to blush.

"aisa kuch nahi hai Mannu" hse said trying to avoid the topic.

"aaye haaye Di aap Sharma rahe ho aur kehte ho koi baat nahi hai.. lagta hai ab toh do do rishte honge iss ghar mein" she said excitedly.

"chup kar aur ja apne Virat se baat karle" she said and pushed Manvi outside.

'kya sachi kuch hai kya' she wondered.

At the Vadhera Mansion

"Bhai bhai", Viren came out of his thoughts as Virat nudged him.

Viren: han bol Virat.

Virat: kya hua aapko? Main aapko dus(ten) minute se bula raha hun. Itna khoye huye kyun ho? Ya phir kiske khayalon mein? He said teasingly.

Viren(again in his dreamland): Jeevika (without thinking he said it)

Virat: kya Jeevika di??

Viren(coming out of his trance): huh? Jeevika nahi jewelry. Tujhe Manvi ke liye jewelry leni hogi na?

Virat(suspiciously): woh toh main le lunga par aap Jeevika ke Di ke bare mein kyun soch rahe the??

Viren knew there was no hiding from his brother so he told him.

Viren: woh.. woh actually na mujhe Jeevika achi lagi. I mean achi in the sense achi ladki hai. Smart dikhti hai, doctor hai, apni behen ka itna khayal rakhti hai aur sundar bhi hai. (going itno his dreamland again) uski aankhein, uske lambe baal aur uski pyaari smile.

Virat(tapping Viren's shoulder) : bhai sapno ki duniya se bahar aao.

Viren: huh? Han..

Virat: kya baathai ek hi nazar mein itna dekh liya. Good going bhai.

Viren: good going toh tab hoga jab woh bhi mujhe notice karegi.

Virat: don't worry bhai karegi.

Days passed and it was Virat and Manvi's engagement.

Viren and Jeevika would little instances together, the formal hi's and would bump into each other sometimes. Viren would purposely stand next to her and try to converse with her. She would also enjoy his company and talk to him. She herself was surprised because she never spoke to anybody much.

After the engagement Virat and Manvi would want to go out. So to give company to their siblings Jeevika and viren would also go. Viren personally liked it because he could spend more time with her. He started getting the 'love wali feeling' within him. Jeevika on the other hand enjoyed his company a lot. He used to understand her in a way nobody could. 'is he my prince charming' she would ask herself.

It was the mehendi ceremony and Vanshika and Kadambari had come to see Manvi in the ceremony. Viren had also accompanied them. All the girls were dancing and some others putting mehendi on Manvi's hand and teasing her about Virat. Viren would occasionally look around to spot 'her'. But he couldn't find her. So he decided to enjoy the ceremony. He and Dabbu started dancing with the other girls. He was even flirting a little with them. Suddenly he saw 'her' coming from the kitchen with snacks for everyone. He smiled widely seeing her. After she gave the snacks to everybody, he pulled her also for a dance. She too happily danced with them. They would have cute eye locks in between.

Later Manvi went to her room. Jeevika also was going towards the room when someone pulled her into the storeroom. Before she could shout the person closed her mouth with his palm. He had one hand around her waist  and other on her mouth. She was pinned to the wall.

"Main hun" the voice said and she immediately recognized it. It was Viren.

"aap mujhe yahan kyun laaye hain?" she asked him.

He leaned closer to her and she shivered when his lips touched her ear.

"bata dun" he whispered which was just audible to her.

She looked into his deep eyes which showed ' love'.

"ji" she whispered back.

"aap bahut khoobsurat lag rahi hain aaj" he again whispered in her ear and pecked her cheek.

She blushed profusely as no one had ever kissed her like this or rather complimented her.

"Matlab main sirf aaj koobsurat lag rahi hun?" she asked poutingly.

"nahi nahi aisa nahi hai. Tum toh bahut khoobsurat lagti ho. Roz. Par aaj kuch zyaada hi.." he said all in one go as he didn't want to upset her.

Hearing him speak like that she giggled like a 5 year old kid. He then understood she was teasing him and smiled like a love struck puppies watching her giggle. 'it sounds like music' he thought.

Jeevika then realized that he was staring at her for a long time and she felt her cheeks turn crimson red.

"mujhe Mannu ke pass jana hai" she said slowly thinking if he felt hurt by it.

He realized what he was doing and her thoughts about him being hurt. He removed his hand from her waist and cupped her face with both his hands. He kissed her forehead making her close her eyes.

"bye" he said and left the place.

She stood rooted in her place after their small encounter. She smiled and blushed like a teenage girl. Then she left from there still smiling and went to her room. As she opened the door she saw Mannu on the bed with Virat beside her feeding her and Viren turning to the other side not wanting to disturb them. She was shocked.

"Mannu" she said surprised.

Viren immediately turned around and pulled her out of the room to explain her the reason of Virat coming there. He told her that Virat and Manvi both wanted to see each other and he couldn't deny them. She smiled at his explanation. She went down and  got her mehendi done. The function had wrapped up. Vanshika and Kadambari had but Viren said he would stay back to help them out. She couldn't do anything because of the mehendi nor could she go to her room because that would disturb Virat and Manvi's time. So she sat in the hall alone waiting for her mehendi to dry. Suddenly she saw spoon of rice extended towards her. She turned around to see Viren holding it for her.

"aapne khana nahi khaya hoga na. Virat ne toh Manvi ko khila diya hai toh main aapke liye laya tha" ha said.

She looked at him with aww and ate the food. He fed her and walked with her till her room. Virat was waiting outside and Manvi was asleep. He tucked her into bed and pecked her cheek again and left from there. Jeevika had slept with a whole lot of things in her mind.

The sangeet also brought cute moments for them when Viren asked her to dance with him. She never felt this happy being with someone. She didn't know if it was love, but she definitely knew that he was her 'prince charming'.

It was the day after the marriage. Virat and Manvi were in the mandap and Viren and Jeevika just behind them. Viren would steal occasional glances at her and she too would do the same. After the marriage it was finally time for the bidaai. Jeevika couldn't stop her tears from flowing out. She hugged her sister tightly and half heartedly sent her. She ran up to the terrace to cry her heart out. She could hear some foot steps so she turned around to see Viren standing there. She couldn't control herself and hugged him. He too hugged her back and was trying to soothe her.

"don't worry aapki behen se zyaada din dur nahi rehna padega aapko. Maine iska bhi solution nikal diya hai" he said.

She parted fro mthe hug and asked him cutely "kya?"

"shaadi karlo mujhse" he said confidently yet with so much love.

She turned her face and said "yeh aap kya keh rahe hain. Iski zaroorat nahi hai. Main Mannu ke bina reh lungi."

"par main nahi reh sakta tumhare bina." He said. She turned to look at him and saw pure love in his eyes only for 'her'. "aadat pad gayi hai tumhari. Pehele din se jaanta tha kit um mein kuch baat hai jo mujhe khich rahi thi. Jab se dekha haina tabse hi pagal ho gaya hun. Tumhari baatein, tumhari muskaan, tumhara sab kuch mujhe bahut acha lagta hai. Pehle sure nahi tha but ab samajh chukka hun ki..

"ki?? " she asked hopefully.

"ki yehi pyaar hai" he said. He sat on one knee and looked at her and said "Ms Jeevika Chaudary kyat um mujhse shaadi karogi? Promise karta hun ki main jealous nahi hounga jab tum Manvi se zyaada pyaar karogi. Tumhare kaam se bhi mujhe koi problem nahi hai. Bas mere saath raho wohi kaafi hai mere liye."

This was the best proposal anyone could have done for her. She smiled widely with the tears streaming down her face. She nodded her head in approval and he slid the ring in her finger. He stood up on his feet and she hugged him almost making him fall. He too hugged her back. After a while they parted and he kissed her with full of love promising to be her 'prince charming'.
