Situation 1:
Time: Few days after their wedding, in the morning.
Location: Zoya in the kitchen standing near the table facing away from "their" bedroom :D
Zoya wanted to make bread and jam for Asad's breakfast. She even bought his favorite apricot jam the day before but now the jar isn't opening. She has been trying for minutes but the stupid cap wasn't budging.
"Stupid jar...why aren't you opening?" Zoya asked the jar.
Zoya doesn't even notice Asad come into the kitchen but Asad watches his newly wedded wife making animated faces while trying to open the jar.
He slowly walks up to her and slides his hands around her waist to take the jar from her hands.
A startled Zoya stiffens and waits. Asad takes the jar and pops it open in less than 5 second. He bring his lips to her ears and says, "Next time get a jar that is harder to open. This one opened too fast."
He plants a quick kiss on her neck, returns the jar to her and walks away before anyone else come to the kitchen.
Zoya looks back at the jar and says, "Stupid jar...why did you open so fast?"

Situation 2:
Time: Afternoon on a weekday.
Location: Their bedroom.
Asad is back from office and was relaxing in bed. Dilshad,
Najma and Zoya were out shopping so the house was finally quiet.
Suddenly like a hurricane Zoya rushes in the room: "Allah
Miyan'Aab kya hoga?"
Asad looks up to see his wife near tears and rushing to the
bathroom.
Dilshad, Najma soon follows her to the room and then the
bathroom.
Now Asad is intrigued too, so he follows as well.
"What happened?"
"I was leaning against a pillar waiting for the elevator in the
mall and got chewing gum stuck in my hair. Some stupid guy must have stuck a
chewing gum on the pillar. Fool. I hope a bird poops on his head. I hope his
hair catches fire. I hope he gets bald prematurely'.."
Dilshad and Najma stood silently trying to control their
laughter. They made a quick exit leaving Asad to handle Zoya.
"Calm down. Every problem has a solution. And btw why did
you say it's a he? It could have been a girl who did the deed."
"Nooo'never. Girls are never that nasty."
"Biased."
"Whatever. Just get it off my hair already'.pleaseee. Ewww'its
so nasty. Don't cut my hair though, I like it long. Do something!!!!"
"Okay okay okay..wait."
Asad grabs Zoya's trusty iPad and Googles to find ways to
safely remove gum without damaging hair.
While applying the Vaseline on her hair, he cannot help but wonder
that, in his entire life, before meeting Zoya, he never had to (1) Fight
people, (2) Runaway from an angry mob, (3) Lie to his mom (4) Deal with a gay
dance master (5) Remove chewing gum from somebody's hair'.the list in his mind went
on and on.
Once complete, Zoya inspects his handy work, turns around to
face him, gives him a dimpled smile, kisses his lips quickly and says, "I am so
smart, I knew I married you for a reason."

Time: Morning
Location: Their bedroom.
Asad was bedridden with fever for a few days. Finally his fever
is down so he gets up to go to the bathroom and freshen up.
Zoya is coming out of the bathroom and sees him walking
towards her with a towel.
"Where are you going? How are you feeling now? Let me check
your temperature."
"I just checked. It's normal. I am feeling much better. I
need a shower and a shave and I will be 100% better."
"NOOO"
"What happened?"
"Don't shave."
"Why?"
Zoya walks up to her husband who is now sporting a 3 day old
scruffy look, touches his cheeks and says: "I like you like this'rough and tough..ganda ganda," she pinches his cheeks and adds, "my hotty hubby."
Zoya winks'Asad smiles and enters the bathroom, leaving his
naughty wife to swoon after him.
NOTE: I just LOVED Asad with his scruffy look in the rain dance situation and have been secretly hoping he grows back the beard for a few episodes. So I HAD to add a situation where Zoya wants it too.

Situation 4:
Time: Evening
Location: At a charity fundraiser function.
Asad and Zoya are attending a fundraising program arranged for
a charity.
The host welcomes the two and shows them their seats. Asad
and Zoya get up to mingle for a bit but Zoya is hungry.
"Can we go to the appetizer table? I need to eat something.
I am sooo hungry."
"Not now. This function is arranged by one our biggest
clients and I have to talk to their head honchos before we can go eat."
"Why don't you talk and I eat. I swear I will faint if I don't eat anything."
"No. Stay with me. I am hungry too. We will go together."
Zoya stands by Asad the whole time and eventually misses the
appetizers because they clean out the table for dinner.
"Humph'we missed all the appetizers." Zoya speaks to Asad
quietly through gritted teeth. "I really wanted those stuffed mushrooms."
"Sorry. We just got married and you saw how everyone was asking
about you. You have to be with me when I meet everyone. I promise there will be
no interruption from my part during dinner."
Dinner is served after an hour and everybody takes a seat to
eat.
"Allah Miyan I am so hungry I think I can eat everything in
the buffet table."
Asad smiles. "Go help yourself. I promise not to bother you."
Zoya goes and comes back with food.Just when she was about
to take her first bite, Asad's phone rings and he gets up to take the call. Knowing
that it will look odd if she gobbles down food while her husband is away, Zoya
waited for him to return.
Asad returned 25 minutes later when almost everyone was done
eating. Asad could see Zoya was fuming.
"Sorry it was a very important call. Let's eat now."
The dance floor was opened and the owner of the company
hosting this charity fundraiser personally came to the table to invite Asad
and Zoya to join the first dance. They had no choice but to oblige.
"Are you angry at me? I am sorry. I wasn't expecting this
call. Why didn't you eat without me?"
"Yeah right. I eat while you starve. Kya baat hai Weren't you hungry too? ! What do
you think everyone would have said if I ate without you? And Mister..I wouldn't have enjoyed a bite either."
Asad looked down at his wife, now dancing in his arms,
lovingly. Despite her childishness, Zoya was the perfect woman. She was the
perfect wife, perfect daughter-in-law and perfect sister-in-law. She fit in perfectly in his small world. He couldn't
have asked for more.
"Let's go."
"Where?"
"Surprise."
They excused themselves and left the party. Half hour later
they pulled up in front of Zoya's favorite pizza place.
"Pizzzaaa! Asad'.I LOVE YOU" Zoya screamed and
kissed her husband on his cheek.
Asad watched his Zoya as she ran to the counter and enthusiastically ordered
pizza for both of them.
Life was good.
