Heard dis small story from mom today

Wen Ravan lift kailash n mahadev punishes him by pressing his thumb

A Ganpret(a devotee of Shiva who is always in Kailash) tells him to sing a song in sama ganam

So the Lord will be cooled n spare you

Lord Shiva...on hearing dis...got angry on tat Gan pret cos he rescued someone who is been punished by him...N cursed him to born as a human...

N tats one of 64 nayanmars...Appar swamigal...
