I had this new concept,
hence thought to pen it down.

What if after their love-making scene Saras felt guilty...?
What if,
he commited suicide??
I know this idea is not that gud,
but what if it did happen like that??
But before leaving he wrote letters to her with a gift??
a box of bangles...?
*My BF recently gifted me 1, hence the idea came. 😳*

A girl rushes to her sister's call.

After reading the letter hurriedly run up to Kumari's room to retrieve the box.

Kumari understood and left, closing the door.

Now it was Kumud's turn to struggle with the box.
after a time she got exasperated...

"Kyu mujhe itna tang karte ho"
- "Kyu ki bohot pyaar karta hu."

Shocked, she turned around only to find the room empty...
it was only her imagination...
angry at herself,
she broke open the lock to find another letter and a whole set of 'Choori...'
She wore the bangles and looked at her hands.
her hands looked beautiful.
She had worn bangles be4,
but this was special,
for it was a gift from him,
recalling him made her eyes water...
She loved him so much...

mujhe ni pata ki jo hua, wo kyu hua, kaise hua...
Shayad taqdeer ko yahi manzur tha k hum na mile,

Kumud...
uss raat ham apne pyaar me mukammal to hue magar, hamare kahani adhuri rehgayi ...,
ek vinati hai tumse,
Apne zindagi me aage barhna, dua karunga k tumhe ek acha jeevan-sathi mile,
jo tumhare jazbato ko samjhe,
tumhare sapno ko saakaar karey,
jisme tum ek dost pao...
Kumud hamare beech jo kuch bhi tha...
Usse ek sapna samajhke bhula dena...
Tum meri fikr mat karo kumud,
Mai hamesha tumhara hi rahunga...
un chooriyo ko meri last gift samajhna.

She stopped reading...
"Kaise kehdiya tumne k mai tumhe bhula du??
Kaise??"
She dropped down on her knees and wailed...
she cried and cried, till no tears were left.
She looked back at her hand...
and kissed each bangle...
"Kyu chale gaye tum Saras? Kyu?" - "Mai gaya kaha? Mai to aaj bhi tumhare dil me basta hu."

she looked up to see him standing in front of her,
beckoning her,
as if in a daze,
she stood up and followed him to the mirror.

She stood in front of it & he hugged her from behind.

How perfect they looked together!!
He took her hand and raised it to her eyes...
Making sound,

& whispered in her ear.

"Jab bhi ye chooriya pehnogi,
mujhe apne paas paogi.
Tumhara dil meri amanat hai,
bas apni zindagi kisi k nam kardo.
Apne liye nahi to mere liye,
Bapu k liye.
mai uss jahan me tumhara intezar karunga Kumud,
Khush rehna,
Alvida!"

saying so his apparition faded,
leaving her alone...
But she was not lonely,
She had his love,
Her family,
& now this treasure...
