Telly Celebs talk about their First Salary!
First Salary is important for everyone. We spoke to some Television celebs and tried to refresh their memories on how had they earned their first salary and how did they spend it.
Giaa Manek as Jinn in Jeannie Aur Juju on SAB TV.
"As far as I can recollect, I earned my first salary long back. I received it after working for a Monaco commercial. And I gifted all that money to my mom"
Shamin Mannan as Bhoomi in Sanskaar- Dharohar Apnon Ki on ColorsTV.
"Well, I earned my first salary from my first television show itself i.e. "Santaan". I don't actually remember doing something special out of it. But the first time you receive a salary is very special, so all I did was give it to my parents, like everyone does".
Additi Gupta as Nandini in Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan on Zee TV.
"I earned my first ever salary from a modeling show in Bhopal for which I was a part of. This was about 9 years back. Since it was my first pay, I gifted it to my parents, just like we have seen it in movies. My parents felt so proud about it, but then they gave it back to me. It was really special for me so I saved it in my piggy bank."
Krystle Dsouza as Jeevika in Ek Haazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star Plus.
"I started my career at the age of 17 with my debut in Balaji's Kahe Naa Kahe. I received my first salary after working for 60 days. I cannot disclose the amount but I got a car from that money.
Aakanksha Singh as Megha in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha onColors TV.
"It is my fondest memory that I cherish even today. I used to do a lot of plays back then and it was around in 2005 that I first got my first pay which was Rs. 300. It was not exactly a salary but a token of appreciation from my lovely seniors; therefore I kept it in my treasure".
Hiten Tejwani who is currently seen in Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV, Kya Huaa Tera Vaada on Sony TV and Savdhaan India on Life OK.
"Initially, I wanted to pursue Chartered Accountancy as a profession. So during my college days, I was working for a CA. That is when I received my first salary and I gave all of it to my mom."
Dheeraj Dhoopar as Prem in Sasural Simmar Ka on Colors TV.
"My first job was at a fashion studio as an intern while I was in college which was basically to earn some extra pocket money. I still remember I was on cloud nine when I received my first salary cheque. There was so much I wanted to do with that money, that I managed to buy gifts for all my family members and myself. I'm good at savings, so even though I partied with my friends, I put aside a little money as savings too."
Karan Goddwani as Johnny in Jeannie aur Juju on SAB TV.
"I used to live in Spain during my early growing up years. There was a supermarket near our house and I would make drawings on a paper with crayons and sell them at that supermarket. The foreigners there were sweet enough to buy my paintings and drawings. Though, I won't term it as a full-fledged salary, it was my first earning as I used to spend that amount to buy chocolates for myself."
Karan Wahi, last seen hosting Nach Baliye Shriman v\s Shrimati on Star Plus.
"I got my very first salary from my first show Remix in which I played the role of Ranveer Sisodia. Since it was my first hard earned money, I gave it to my parents. The happiness one experiences while handing over the first salary to parents is priceless."
Aman Yatan Verma, last seen as RJ a.k.a Raghav Jaitley in Parvarrish onSony TV.
Aman says, "Initially, I started off by selling cables for which I earned nearly Rs.2000 per month. Just like many others, I gave my first salary to my beloved mother."
