I have been noticing since the begining that out of all the actors Ketiki Puts so much stress on her words.
I mean her pronunciation is too different than the rest and her accent too. I was wondering how come she
talks in a different way than everyone else.

I am not saying anything negative but i am just curious to know if she is not a native Hindi/Urdu speaker?
Or do mostly people talk in that way?

And i love Ketki she is a cutie pie but i was just thinkin if anyone else noticed her accent being so different.
😳

Yup I did. She's a Maharashtrian from Pune. Maybe she's not very fluent with Hindi or Urdu n hence the extra emphasis on dialogue delivery. I like her too though. She says "fir se" instead of "phir se" for e.g. But a lot of Hindi actors also do that.

Pronunciation, diction, stressing and emphasising certain words is not given a lot of importance in a lot of serials as well as movies.

As far as I know, Karan and Surbhi are Punjabi, Nehalaxmi(Najma) and Shalini ( Dilshaad ) are Gujrati I believe from the names.. And Alka Kausahal(Razia) is Maharashtrian ... Amrapali (Tanveer) is also Punjabi I believe... Ketki looks like she might be South Bombay... They all have very different accents as they are from different places in India.. They all try to speak Urdu but obviously, they have their own personal accents.. As far as Ketki is concerned, I think she puts stress on her dialogues to give it more impact... She does have a quite voice so maybe she stresses her dialougues to emote and execute them properly...

Yeah Mostly Punjabis don't have any problem in pronunciation. It's the other people that you can tell they are from somewhere else. So i was guessing she might be south Indian or from somewhere. Btw thanks for clearing.

Yes she does...she has what you call in the 'voice & accent training world', the 'mother tongue influence'. She is a Maharashtrian if I mistake not and it comes across strongly in her diction. Infact so is the case with Surbhi - her Hindi is perfect but her English pronunciations aren't correct a lot of times..rest of the cast have quite a good diction...infact Im surprised that even though Karan has schooled abroad, he doesn't have a strong accent.

PS: Whoever thinks this is a post to bash both of them...honestly I don't care...it's an opinion Im expressing...the writer of the original post asked for ours! :)
