Housewife Sab Jaanti Hai A.K.A. McMillian and Wife

Rock Hudson played the role as a San Francisco police commissioner named Stuart (Mac) McMillan who was married to Sally Hull McMillan (Susan Saint James) and they were considered one of the coolest, youngest, most fashionable and trendy married couple who you just loved watching as they solved murders and robberies together in the show called McMillan and Wife. It was one of the hippest hottest most watched new television show's back in the 70's, and was known as a lighthearted, cute murder mystery also a good after dinner American favorite. I remember how much my mom used to love this show and so our family used to plop down on the sofa after dinner on a weeknight and couldn't wait to tune in.

So while watching this week's episode of Housewife Sab Jaanti Hai, I wasn't too sure if I was looking at Sona or Susan Saint James and Kanhiya or the famous Rock Hudson, LOL! But this week's episodes brought me back to the days of watching that exciting fabulous show back in the day.

This week Sona's husband Kanhiya (Anirudh Dave) had decided to resign from his job as a debang cop due to the troubles behind a thief in their neighborhood who was wrecking havoc by stealing food from the neighborhood peoples homes, right under their noses.

So in order to help her husband get reinstated to his job Sona was great and figured out a way to possibly catch this thief by setting a trap. Sona punched a hole in the bottom of a sack of wheat they hid in an unused room of the Chatuvedi household hoping to expose and set a trail to the thief's whereabouts. It turns out to be a genius idea that worked.

Anyway that night Kanhiya (Anirudh Dave) portrayed and hid his identity by wearing a mask as he played a magician at the neighborhood children's birthday party. Sona was at the party as well but was called back home to help Neelam cook dinner because she had cut her finger. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise because the thief showed up in the Chatuvedi household and stole the sack of wheat. But prior to that the thief did steal the dinner of Biryani that was to be served at the birthday party but Kanhiya was smart enough to put a tracking device in the pot of Biryani and so was able to stay in pursuit and chase after the thief when he fled in a taxi. Kanhiya did catch up with the taxi and found that the thief did get out of the taxi a while back but left the Biryani with the tracking device in the taxi and so Kanhiya felt bad because he blew it.

Meantime Sona back at the house noticed the sack of wheat was missing and then bravely went ahead and followed the trail of wheat left by the thief. The trail of wheat led Sona to the restaurant of a well known woman in the neighborhood named Radha (Parul Chaudhary).

I remember Parul Chaudhary, from one of my favorite star plus serial's Teri Meri Sapne she portrayed the shrewd business woman Kamya (Parul Chaudhary) who helped Sarju (Yash Pandit) become wealthy and rise to fame as a super model of the show but she made the mistake of falling in love with Sarju (Yash Pandit) before finding out he was a married man and so out of jealousy and with the hopes of breaking this couple apart she caused havoc in the married lives of Sarju (Yash Pandit) and his wife Radha (Ekta Tiwari). It's ironic that Parul Chaudhary would make a come back on Housewife with the same name as Radha (Ekta Tiwari) of Teri Meri Sapne and this time is once again wrecking havoc in the lives of the entire neighborhood thereby causing Kanhiya to lose his much needed job since everyone in the Chatuvedi family is struggling financially as well at this time.

So Sona finds out that Radha was the thief and was responsible for all of the thief's of food in the neighborhood. Sona questioned Radha and threatened to turn her into the police station but the woman breaks down, confesses and appeals to Sona to not turn her in claiming the only reason she stole food was to feed herself and her two starving children. It seemed kind of strange to Sona that this woman would have to resort to stealing food especially since she was surrounded by food everyday and all day at her restaurant but she further explained that the money she makes from the restaurant was not sufficient to pay for her costs for running the place and she was paying back a loan she owed on the restaurant. So she begged for Sona's mercy explaining she only stole the food due to financial hardship.

So I cannot wait till tomorrow's episode to see if Sona will turn Radha over to the police.
