Alia's agenda behind friendship with Katrina
Like MJ, I had a little trouble understanding the audio, so I may have misunderstood some things. However, the things I did understand just warmed my heart. I haven't listened to the interview again, so these are the "notables" in my unpolished reaction:
1. Kratika's positive view of the future! If they cried, it would make me cry. Once they're taking it as positively as they can, then that makes me happier. At the same time, she's sad about things ending as they all are, but she's right, things must continue.
2. Loves Yash-Aarti too, along with us. (I hope I heard that correctly. If I have, then that's adorbs. Major credit to the writers when the actor(s) are able to enjoy the characters and pairing as much as we do.)
3. The early critiques and critics. (I've noticed she mentions this quite often, showing her acute awareness of the tenuous "viewing threshold" they were going to cross. She's always known it would be a struggle for her -- for them -- to create chemistry that viewers would embrace and love on its on merit, and this motivated her to work harder. For me, her humility and quiet gratitude is so evident when she speaks about how attached viewers have become to her chemistry with Gurmeet.)
4. Credits everyone for their contribution to the show's success.
5. Thankful that her hard work is appreciated. (More than appreciated, Kratika, you are loved.)
6. Offers coming in! (Yay! Her work is speaking volumes on her behalf. No dramatics on her part, just good, solid, dedicated work.)
7. Thanks to the fans and especially to the critics because it allowed her to take up the challenge and she used it as a motivator to be a better actress. Loved her kiss goodbye. (My absolute favorite part of the interview because it shows me the quality of person Kratika is -- humble, dedicated, open-hearted, willing to use criticism as a way to grow, and willing to turn challenge into a success. Can't say it enough -- she is made of awesome!)
Jac: I LOVE your list to the power infinity. Word to all of it, since I can't reply in depth now. She did say that she fell in love with them, too! Love, love, love that comment of hers! And Kratika ended up speaking for Gurmeet, too, when talking about how hard they have both worked to put soul into the characters along with the directors. I am going to miss that close-knit rapport between all the character-crafters! But in retrospect it will be so nice watching the episodes again! Kratika's kiss at the end and her smiles
Thanks, Borna. 😳 And thank you for verifying what I heard that she fell in love with them too. I wasn't sure at first. Such a sweet thing to say. Very much a credit to the production and writing. On the bold, I missed the details of that part in the audio on my end. Aw! She speaks the truth, and we could tell how much they've put into making these characters who they are, with the help of their directors/writers. PV has had such a wonderful team of people that have made the show as wonderful and popular as it is. It's no wonder they felt like family. And I know -- her kiss at the end was cute!
Aw, study hard, Borna, and good luck in your exams! We'll catch up with you whenever you have a little more time. 😃
Aww Jac! Absolutely loved your list. Totally missed out on the bit where Kratika said that she too loves Yash-Aarti! <3 Oh there was another bit where she said that she is sad that the show is ending and she knew that it would have run for a longer time - that line broke my heart because it shows that even the PH, actors, directors and CVs had/have confidence in the show and the story but alas, someone didn't.
Thanks, Anu. 😳 On the bold, I missed that little bit right there. 💔 We all know it would have run for a longer time, but, IA, it's heartbreaking when the actors acknowledge it too. They have no control over it. You're right, it shows they all had confidence in what they were doing, but someone in the ZeeTV Channel admin was very impatient and myopic. Now, there is no chance for a recourse or even a last minute reprieve. *sigh*
I've got to head to bed for an earlier than usual rise tomorrow/later today! But I'll catch up with everyone a little later! 😃
