Ani's mother is never mentioned in this series , there is not a single photo that the viewers saw of her
What do you think happened to her ?

Well, i read somewhere in the spoiler that she has gone mad and is in asylum now..but balraj's child's don't know abt it.. They think that their mom is dead..i think biji knows this secret..
