Music
In the first cry of a newborn
as she enters an unknown world
and in her unconditional first laughter,
I hear music.
When a mother sings a lullaby
to her child on a difficult night,
in that beautiful, pristine melody,
I see music in its purest form.
The rain pitter patters,
it splashes down on the scorched earth,
In the joy of laughter,
as the farmer sings the advent of monsoon,
music is in that moment of life.
