I am unclear if forum-rules allow me to post the entire story-line of QH posted on Zee's website, so here are the applicable excerpts:

It is the story of two families related by blood and yet distanced by circumstances. ...

It is also the story of Zoya,...and eventually ends up bringing together the two warring families.

1. A lot of squabbles ensue, especially between Ayaan and Zoya… and neither realize when they end up falling in love.

.2...Asad is engaged to a very traditional conservative girl. Asad though not quite in love with her, respects her immensely for her devout ways and is beginning to see a life with her.

3. ...Ayaan's temporary marriage to Zoya gets dissolved and Zoya finds out that Ayaan was responsible for it.

And here, Asad finds out that his pious to be bride is a complete liar and was taking him for a ride all along.

.4. ...…. with Ayaan wanting to win back Zoya with whom he has totally fallen in love with and Asad vowing to never ever love again.

5. Ayaan realizes that the only way he can win back Zoya is with the help of Asad. But Asad hates women and more so women like Zoya. So what will unfold now between the two brothers and Zoya?"

From what I gather, Uhsud will realize the duplicity of his fiancee (likely the new entry) before marriage, whereas Uhyaan and Zoya will marry and then divorce/annul it.

The only confusion is regarding point number 1. There has hardly been any interaction between Uhyaan and Zoya for them to fall in love. Perhaps it is a typo and the name is meant to be Uhsud, not Uhyaan.

Huh? Like what even 😕?

But omg! There has been next to no interaction between Ayaan and Zoya and in this there is no mention of Asad and Zoya ever being close.

From this it seems as if the story was supposed to start off with Ayaan and Zoya and then ASAD was the one that was supposed to enter the picture later. Oh good lord! This is giving me heart palpitations 😆.

Let's hope this is not an effect of the PH changing their script after they gave that into Zee 😆 because right now I don't see how this adds up.

But anyhoo... If this is to happen... It sounds amazing! Just as long Asya end up together in the end of course. I personally don't see Zoya with Ayaan.

And oh whatever, this new thing that's going to enter the picture, urgh! She can just go away because I already dislike her.

Add... Plus if this is the way things are going to go down I don't they've played it very smartly by introducing so much of Asya in. Now they are going to struggle big time with TRPs and audience if they bring in a Zoya-Ayaan track. We all know what goes down when leads have good chemistry and the audience begins to depend upon that. Oh dear.

As you say, what was the point of showing 4 months of Uhsud-Zoya interaction if she was to end up married to Uhyaan?

I also feel if they actually show Uhsud engaged it would be a repeat of their previous show. If they show Uhsud actually marrying his fiancee...it would still tank TRPs. And then if he finds out about her duplicity and divorces her, it will not go down well with the usually conservative-in-practice audience.
Either way, it is TRP suicide.

As for Zoya and Uhyaan, that train of thought never even boarded at the station!😃

And the way the characters are shown, there is such a marked difference in maturity between them that unless Zoya is compelled, I cannot ever see her marrying Uhyaan.

This has been talked about to death and no one is sure what it's all about.

The popular explanations being -

A) Asad and Ayaan 's names were interchanged.

B)Gul has changed the story line.

C)Zee website people were high when they wrote this.

Its the only way to watch Indian soaps!

Oh dear! I completely forgot! Too many things floating about in my head.

But yes! It would be a repeat.. Urgh!

Plus this going about, looking for evidence = less Asya time = audience bored = TRP suicide again. I really can't see any of this working out. Oh lord.

I really can't see him marrying anyone else but Humeira or someone else like her at least. I mean really? Zoya actually LOOKS older than Ayaan most of the time. I. Just. Don't. Understand. 😆

They cannot show Zoya-Uhsud all the time without some storyline and this so-called-suspense is as 'good' as any.
This 'suspense' is obvious and has been given away long before to leave even a modicum of interest in the 'revelation'.
What holds us is the love-story angle. This is the PH's forte and they really ought to stick to it.
As for Zoya looking older or being older than Uhyaan, I feel age and looks are irrelevant. If it works out, I am all for it.
I cannot see their pairing because of the differences in maturity level and totally irresponsible nature of Uhyaan. He is a pampered and completely spoiled brat who has yet to grow up.

Of course that's true and I personally like the story to include all of the characters and not just focus on the lead pair. But let's face it, with increasing Asya scenes, people are just going to want more and the PH are going to be compelled to let it go on that way for the sake of TRPs and popularity. Only a minority of the audience; the people that watch this show for the whole story will stick with it when they don't show as many Asya scenes and that's really the truth of the matter.

Tbh I liked this whole suspense element at the beginning because I only began to watch QH recently and I thought the suspense element would be handled better, but the press conference, the promos everything lead to this, which sort of left me wondering what all of the hype was about in the first place. As you mention, it was obvious to everyone, there really wasn't a revelation as such.

I actually cannot visualise their pairing, but each to their own. Your point I agree with too of course, he is far too dependant on everyone in his life, unless that changes in some way it just doesn't click with me. And as for the love-triangle, as much as I would really love that, I feel as if Ayaan is too weak of a character right now to even be taken seriously.

Too true.
The press conference about the 'raaz' was beating a dead horse.
There really has been no big revelation that shocked the audience... shows the story-telling capabilities of the PH, or lack thereof.😕

It also is worth noting that Zoya's quest to locate her father has had no real screen time, apart from that letter with info gleaned from a stranger that Uhsud tore up.
She is wasting her time consoling those who don't deserve it, whereas her visa-expriation track has been left up in the air. It was supposed to exiire in a month (late-Dec early-Jan episodes), and show-time not matching real time notwithstanding, it has still been quite enough time to pack her bags.

All the focus is only on Ruhzia-Raashid-Siddiqui 'raaz', and the rest of the story be damned!

This really shows that the PH has lost a handle on the story as usual. (Check out their previous two shows to understand this aspect.)
They start shows on a 'social-cause' aspect - usually required by channels for soaps - have a 3-month outline as also required, and then all creativity is gone.

Deplorable state of affairs.
TRPs will certainly decide and I fear it is riding a little higher simply because it is one of the rare shows show-casing a minority group. They cannot coast on that for long, though.
