30. Chupke Se
The fact, that despite their own wishes, God had something in store for them always made me fall head over heels in love with this scene. Even when they tried to stay away from each other, they weren't able to. Also, at this point, I remember being really excited because their seeing each other on New Year's meant that they were going to be together for the upcoming year. Arnav's jealousy and sudden attraction to Khushi also made this scene memorable
29. Chup Chup Ke
This scene, made me so happy, until that stupid misconception happened and ruined everything. It was the moment that we fans had been looking so forward to since the beginning of the show. The moment that ASR would trash his ego and propose to Khushi. Khushi's placing the bindi on her head represented her accepting his love. It's sad that this scene had to be cut by an interruption and that the proposal that he had been attempting to make was never accomplished.
28. Bheete Lamhe
I love this scene for the sole reason that their chemistry was MIND BLOWING in this sequence, despite being short and only a dream. I also thought the scene was good because it gave the fans an opportunity to see Arnav and Khushi together after SO LONG. It was a fantastic little treat. The scene honestly made the kidnapping track more bearable.
27. Tu Muskura
The first time ever that Arnav starts to crack the hard shell that he had made for himself. He begins to laugh, and that first laugh caught me so unprepared and set my heart on sudden flames. Of course, the fact that Khushi was responsible for his first laugh in years symbolizes that special connection that they share with one another and how she brings forth the best in him.
26. Chori Kiya Re Jiya
The first time that Khushi became aware of her attraction to Arnav. The fact that Arnav was the reason behind Khushi's accelerating heart beat despite being so cruel and hateful towards her really brings forth the idea that we can't help who we fall in love with- its all in the hands of god!
25. Duniya Mein Kitni Hai Nafrate
This scene was the first time that Arnav openly apologized to Khushi for hurting her physically and emotionally. I love this scene because Arnav is shown caring about the pain he has caused someone and actually TRYING to fix that pain. The fact that he also beat up the man after he misbehaved with Khushi symbolizes the fact that Arnav feels as though Khushi is his responsibility and that she belongs to him in a way.
24. Bol Na Halke Halke
I love this scene because it's the scene that represents Khushi's accepting Arnav as her husband. When she ran into his arms at last, she let go of her own pride and made herself his wife, just as he had predicted she would. Additionally, it sweet to see Arnav's initial attempts on romancing his wife.
23. Marjaiya
The greatest gift that Arnav could give. I dont know why this scene spoke such volumes to me. His being there for his wife, that kiss on her forehead, that rose, which we know holds so much meaning for him, and his love which shone through his wishes for her was so much more than those expensive gifts he bought her. This goes down as one of my favorite moments of the show
22. Aao Naa
It symbolized the first time that Arnav felt a need to make Khushi happy. He went out of his way to bring Khushi what she truly wanted and to see the smile on her face. Khushi, also accepts his gift, which represents her accepting his growing attraction to her. Arnav Singh Raizada begins to evolve into a loving person with a loving heart.
21. Satrangi Re
After seeing little to no romance between Arnav and Khushi for weeks, this scene gave the fans a little something to cheer for. While it may look like Khushi is surrendering herself to her husband's love in this scene, it is actually the opposite. Arnav surrenders himself in this scene. He lets go of his ego, his doubts, his hurt, and he decides to give Khushi the status and dignity of his wife.
20. Tu Jaane Naa
This scene, while it may not be the most loving and romantic, has a deeply special place in my heart. It is the scene that started off their love story. God had Khushi's falling off the stage written in her fate, as he did Arnav's catching her. This first meeting would only escalate to their finding love and changing their lives for one another. Who knew that this monster would evolve into such a wonderful human, and that too, because of his love for Khushi.
19. Kitni Baatein
This scene, is probably the first scene from an Indian soap opera that really made me cry. This emotional moment was depicted SO WELL. Hats off to the creators of this scene. The pain that they both share and how they connect over that pain is sensational yet heart breaking. To see Arnav's first tears at the pain of someone other than himself is what made this scene phenomenal. It should go down in history
18. Saathiya (Badmaash Dil)
Arnav's jealousy of Khushi and NK's friendship soon escalated into this loving moment. Arnav's first steps towards feeling. That kiss was the first time Arnav exhibited his love for Khushi in any way physically, with no hesitations, no confusions, no doubts. He claimed her as his own.
17. Kahiin Toh Hogi Woh
This scene was shot after Arnav kicked Khushi out of his house. Khushi at this point, had gotten engaged to Shyam and Arnav with Lavanya. On the auspicious moment where Khushi was to be putting the ring on Shyam's hand, God had other plans. Instead, Arnav made Khushi HIS, by claiming her ring finger at the right moment in the presence of God. Also, even though Shyam put the ring on the other hand, Arnav's presence ran skin deep, that cut, even despite her own wishes, was permanent... while Shyam was just a feeble ring that could be removed as she desired.
16. Behene De
The FIRST time Arnav Singh Raizada felt bad for a human being beside his sister. The way he lost himself in her eyes and saved her from that car was beautiful. He was confused as to why he cared so much for her, though us viewers knew very well what was happening. He was slowly beginning to lose his heart for her, yet his ego was stubbornly holding him back.
15. Ya Rabba
This scene signified the FIRST time Khushi and Arnav were there to soothe each others pain. They found reassurance in each other's arms. It signified the beginning of a life where they would be there for each other forever.
14. Khuda Jaane
Arnav loses his pretense of a heartless business tycoon the minute he sees the tears in Khushi's eyes. The love for her which resides in him soon begins to shine through him. Despite Khushi's insulting his character and intentions, he STILL finds himself inching towards her to soothe away her tears and her pain.
13. Abhi Mujh Mein Kahiin
This scene united Khushi and Arnav on an emotional level. As Arnav let Khushi enter into his personal world where there was anguish and hurt, he found that Khushi could help him ease the constant pain he faced. Khushi was the only person to be invited into this world of ASR. He gave her that importance and that permission. Furthermore, he gave her ideas and thoughts importance by accepting that his mother may have indeed become a star up above, signifying how Khushi words had an effect on his thinking.
12. Saibo
THE MANDIR SCENE. Omg. This scene was my favorite for the longest time. I think a major part of this scene which made it so beautiful is the way it was shot. The angles and the camerawork in this scene are fantastic and I salute the people who made it happen. The work is stunning, as is the content of the scene. Arnav's running to save Khushi, Khushi unintentionally declaring herself as his by drinking from his hand, their first intense eye lock, Khushi's hand on his coat. My favorite parts though was Arnav's inability to keep his eyes off her the entire pooja as well as Khushi's strange jealousy upon seeing Lavanya and Arnav together. Sigh, this scene made me giddy and it still does.
11. Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai
The FIRST TIME EVER that Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada found himself being attracted towards Khushi Kumari Gupta. They were so amazingly unaware that this initial attraction would soon escalate into a love that knows no bounds. Khushi looked stunning in this scene. I personally think Sanaya has looked her best on the entire show in that red sari.
10. Shukran Allah
This scene is special because it is the first mutual, completed, intimate hug between Khushi and Arnav. They leave behind their hate for one another and find solace in each others arms for the first time. Ultimately, as this scene signifies, their love for one another conquered over their hate for each other.
9. Teri Meri
While this hug was NOT mutual, it strangely holds a slightly more special place in my heart than the real first hug they shared. This scene showed how important Khushi and Arnav were for each other, even if they didn't realize it. Khushi broke down and found ARNAV, not her family, not Shyam, but ARNAV for comfort. The man who had insulted her, hurt her, abandoned her, because somewhere he was the only one that could truly make her happy. Arnav in this scene, is phenomenal. He is STRUGGLING between the greys of his character. One side, his ego which prevents him from emotionally becoming attached to Khushi and on the other side, his love for her and his inner calling to remove the pain from her life. Even though his ego won over, the guilt that he feels for days after being unable to hug her makes it worth it.
8. Rab Ne Banadi Jodi
This scene is one of my favorites because it is the first time the audience can see Arnav completely losing his mind for Khushi. When he hears that something may have happened to her, he goes crazy, he goes mental. The only other time Arnav had broken out of his structured, unemotional shell in this fashion was when Anjali had gone missing. It is his love for Khushi which brought him to care for another woman as much as his sister. The scene also signifies that at this point of time, Arnav cannot live without Khushi, she is too big a part of his life.
7. Ishq Hua
The Holi scenes, while one may argue, were not as romantic as the other scenes ranked below it in this list, they are still part of my top picks. First of all they were utterly refreshing to watch. With the show being consumed by Arnav's hatred for Khushi due to her "affair" with Shyam, to see his true feelings shining through was amazing for the viewers. Secondly, I feel that the holi scenes were one of the only times in the show where Khushi and Arnav were completely off guard. It was beautiful to see that without their pride and egos hindering in the way, they were completely besotted by one another and found happiness in each other's presence and arms. Finally, the "Dhadkaan" dialogue took place in the holi episodes, and that dialogue, while very corny, is my absolute FAVORITE from the entire show. It's a tear jerker.
6. Tere Bin Main Yun Kaise Jiya
This was the reunion which signified the end of hatred. This scene was fantastic to watch because it symbolized the end of the hatred and the beginning of the true love story. Here began a relationship that was not stained by pain, hatred and doubts, but only made on the foundation of love.
5. Pee Loon
The wedding preparations and rituals may not have held a lot of symbolism, but straightforwardly, they were extremely, extremely romantic. Arnav and Khushi's first moments of loving each other and beginning their lives with one another were enchanting. Arnav proved himself as a true romantic here, with the tying of the dori, the slow caressing of haldi on her bare back and his leaning in for a kiss by the poolside, sigh. We romantic females had our heads going for a toss!
4. Dheere Jalna
Teri Meri was one scene that blew me into a different world. I was in utter shock while watching this sequence. I knew that Sanaya and Barun looked good together, but the CHEMISTRY that was exploding in this scene was a first. I could not believe that two actors could be capable of creating such romance. Symbolically, it signified the complete transformation of Arnav Singh Raizada. He totally lost himself when he saw her pain. He forgot about winning or losing, all he cared about was seeing her happy again, and he danced for her. They were so immersed in each other while performing that they were completely unaware of their surroundings, their audience, everything. This scene will be magical no matter how many times I watch it.
3. Tum Ho
Here Arnav lets go of the past that had molded him into what he had been for his entire life and accepts Khushi, who will make him who he is for the rest of his life. Arnav discards the memories of his torturous past to accept his love, who made his life beautiful and worth living again. Khushi and Arnav finally become one as they get married to one another. Love finally overcomes hate.
2. Tu Bin Bataye
How can this scene not be special? Khushi and Arnav share the most intimate relationship that can be shared between two people in love. By agreeing to spend the night with Arnav, Khushi surrenders herself to him. She puts her faith in him beyond everything else and she transforms from a girl into a woman. Arnav and Khushi's souls unite with their parents blessings and they finally become one.
1. Labon Ko
While many people consider Arnav and Khushi's night under the stars as the most romantic sequence to take place on Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, personally, nothing beats the Diwali sequence for me. The passion and need in Arnav's eyes will never stop drilling holes in my heart. How his attraction for her overcame his natural tendency to stay away and how he leaned in and attempted to capture her lips in his, it still sends goosebumps up my body. Khushi's inability to stop him due to her own calling for him makes the scene even more beautiful. The diwali track is fantastically sensual with no traces of vulgarity. They created magic that is unparalleled with others just by those eye locks. Diwali has set a standard that is unbeatable for me. I salute Sanaya and Barun on their performances.
NOW PLEASE. I want to hear what scene people love the most and why! Please share your own opinions with me as well! đ
