After a points its a matter of EGO buddy. I think when they start a topic or a comment, it is simply a POV, but with an anti comment, it starts becoming a war of justifying own POV, Finally the debate becomes heated and people with same POV become a party, and since they are one party, they obviously and naturally hate/bash other party.
For some people their one time stance ends up becoming their all time stand, and the groups are formed. In this group people will always agree with each other's post, whether they truly feel so or not is questionable. Then it really becomes a matter about keeping your POV at the top of others.
Yes even on internet - It still is about ego and proving oneself right. Whoever thought these debates are done with logic are mistaken. So people like me try to keep mum - after one or two tries, I have understood that no one on this forum has guts to respectfully agree with others, EAT their own words if they are proved wrong, or even to back down. I have never seen humility here when their are war fronts. Few sensible people like YOU still remain unbiased, and try the LOGIC, yet larger section is generally busy defending their position and bashing others. Oh and absolutely no possibility of reconciliation!!!!
So it really is the matter of EGO. In fact I have seen posts in which a person who was proved wronged, comes back with posts to declare yet again something to prove their previous POV. So we all just want to pat our own back. In the end no one wins, everyone gets frustrated and forum starts looking very ugly.
fff probably my longest post - I don't even write so much in my own on and off - never read and commented on topics. But this probably is my way of getting frustration out on large section of divided fanbase. I don't want to take sides as of now, I want to come to this forum and read those intelligent topics, those funny posts, deep analysis, personal predictions, beautiful OS'es etc. Please can we try keeping the forum positive, for many people its the entertainment that is more important than fighting virtual wars.
