If Shyam did everything for his sister- right from crippling Anjali, entering into her life, creating the same situation again, he choosing Kushi as his satyaki- because she was also in fact affeted by this family-maybe he thought if she comes to know the truth she may be cooperative... - then his love/lust towards also her is also made up- an act!

I wouldnt be surprised if he goes to her and apologises for troubling her in that "sense" after the story comes out- I believe Shyam is an antihero!
