Ram sent an sms to priya telling her the time and place to meet the next day. He left his cellphone on the table and went into the changing room... Just then.. Gyaan, rams serious and padhaku cousin entered his room... He was looking for some stationery when his eyes fell on the message ram had just sent to priya.. He read the message and walked out of the room...
Gyaan was rams first cousin... His father janardhan and rams dad AK were real brothers... His mom prema and KK were more like sisters... They shared everything... While all the rams rishta and rokha thing was happening, janardan, prema and gyaan had to go out of town.. But they were back now.. And the happiness was doubled by their arrival...
Janardhan contributed on the kapoor business empire while prema and kk managed the family... However, unlike his brother, janardhan (JK) was more of a fun lover... He and Ram had lots of fun together...
Ok.. Coming back to the story...
Gyaan saw the sms and went rushing to his dad and AK, who were discussing the wedding preparations...
Gyaan: papa.. Mujhe aap se ek zaruri baat karni hai..
Jk: abhi nhi gyaan.. Hum busy hai..
Gyaan: par baat zaruri hai.. Behtar hoga aap meri baat sun le.. Warna badme aap ko hi pachtava hoga..
Jk and ak pit their work aside and looked at gyaan... Sometimes it was better to hear him out than ignore gis talks...
Gyaan: ye behtar hai.. Mai kehna chah raha tha ki ram bhai kal bhaag ne wale hai.. Priya bhabhi ke sath... Wo bhaag kar shaadi karne wale hai...
Both the dads kept looking at him.. Then at each other.. Then back at him... And they broke out laughing...
Ak: gyaan beta... Bhaag kar wo log shaadi karte hai jinke ghar pe unki shadi ke lie razamandi nahi milti... Yahan toh hum unn dono ki shaadi karvana chahte hai... Toh dono kya pagal lagte hai tujhe jo bhaag jayenge??
Gyaan: batana mera kaam tha.. Aage aap ki icchha...
Saying so, he left...
The next morning...
At KM...
Ram packed his bag and left... Priya left from sharma house too... They met up at the decided place and time...
Ram: hi... Good morning...
Priya: good morning...
Ram: chale??
Priya: haan chaliye...
They called for a cab... Ab obvious si baat hai na.. Dono ghar se bhaag rahe hai toh car toh leke jayenge nahi... So cab...
Both got into the back seat and the driver turned the key..
Chugg... Chugg... Chuggg...
Nope... The cab never started...
The driver got off and went to check the problem...
Priya: lagta hai ye gaadi bhi nahi chahti ki hum bhaag kar shaadi kare...
Ram: haan... Kya??? Gaadi bhi matlab?? Tum bhi yeh nahi karna chahti??
Priya shook her head in negative... Nahi...
Ram: thank god..
Priya: thank god matlab?? Aap bhi bhaagna nahi cahtee??
Ram: nahi... Pata nahi... Kuch galat sa lag raha thha...
Priya: mujhe bhi...
Ram looked into her eyes and priya was lost in his...
Driver: saab... Saab...
Ram: huh? Kya hai...
Priya looked down.. Completely shy..
Driver: saab gaadi kharab ho gayi gai.. Aap dusri cab le lijiye...
Ram: haan.. Ok thank u...
They got off the cab and started walking side by side..
Priya: ram hum ghar waalon ko nagi batayenge ki hum.. U know.. Bhaag kar..
Ram: haan baba.. Nahi batayenge... Chalo... Ab ghar jao... Mai tumse baad me baat karta hu.. Ok..
Priya: ok..
Meanwhile..
At KM and sharma house, the families were tensed... Neither ram nor priya were at home... Gyaan was trying to prove how correct he was but everyone ignored him hoping nothing of the sort had happened... Kk dadi and prema prayed for ram to come back...
Just then Ram came in.. And everyones face calmed down... All were relaxed...
KK: ram... Ram beta kaha chala gaya thha tu?? Huh... Mujhe kitni fikr ho rahi thhi teri...
Ram: maa.. Kya hua?? Mai toh bas aise hi.. Bahr walk pe gaya thha..
At sharma house too..the situation was exactly the same... Priya was bombarded with questions and she avoided them saying she had gone for a walk...
The day continued as ever... Ram went to work.. And priya to her classes...
Later that evening... Ram went back home and saw prachi bua sitting in the lawn.. He walked towards her..
Ram: pairi pauna bua.. Aap yahaan...
Prachi: damadji.. Aap se hi milne aayi thi.. Aap se kuch baat karni thi...
Ram: kahiye na bua...
Prachi: wo ram beta.. Tum toh jante ho na.. Priya ki maa ab nahi rahi... Par.. Dekho... Priya humari baat toh nahi manegi.. Tum kaho.. Fat se maan jayegi...
Ram: haan bua.. Mai baat karunga... Par.. Kya baat karu?
Prachi (in a breath): yehi ki tum log poori reeti riwaz ke sath shaadi karoge...
Ram: kya??
Prachi: haan ram beta... Ye priya ke maa ki sabse badi iccha thhi ki uski shaadi dhoom dham se ho... Wo dulhan ka joda pehne.. Wo bhi sundar lage.. Par.. Wo hai ki ye baat samajhne ko tayaar hi nahi hai... Mujhe yakeen hai tum samjhaoge toh wo pakka maan jayegi...
Ram kept looking at her helplessly...
Meanwhile at sharma house..
JK had been to meet sudheer and it turned out that they were childhood friends... They sat gossipping and cracking jokes..
JK: yaad h guddu apna faveourite wala joke.. Haan... Wo haathi cheeti aur ghoda walk pe gaye thhe and both burst out laughing.. After sometime they noticed priya standing at the door..
Sudheer: arre... Priya beta.. Tu kab aayi?
Priya: jab haati cheeti aur ghoda walk pe gaye thhe... Pairi pauna chacha ji...
JK: jeeti reh... Waise tujhe kaise pata mai ram ka chacha hu..
Priya: wo ram ne bataya thha..
The same evening.. When Ram and Priya met each other..
Ram: priya.. Mujhe tumse baat karni hai..
Priya: haan.. Boliye na ram..
Ram: wo actually baat yeh hai ki tumhari maa ki iccha ke aage kuch bhi nahi hai.. Agar unki aakhri iccha yehi thhi ke tumhari shaadi dhum dham se ho toh im ok with it.. Seriously...
Priya: ye sab aap ko kisne bataya??
Ram: wo.. Prachi bua aayi thhi...
And with that priya started laughing..
Ram: arre kya hua?? Tum has kyu rahi ho?
Priya: Pata hai mere ghar kya hua? Chachaji aaye thhe.. Aur mujhse kehne lage ki agar kapoor khandan ki bahu poore riti ruwaz ke sath bhyakar ghar nhi aayi toh kuldevi ka apmaan hoga.. Unka shraap lagaega and stuff..
Ram: what?? Yaar.. Phir se parivaar walon ne humara popat kar dia..
Priya: jane dijiye na ram.. Bechare.. Bas itna hi toh chahte hai ki shaadi dhoom dham se ho.. Toh theek hai na.. Hone dete hai...
Ram: kya yaar priya tum bhi...
Priya: its ok na.. Leave it..
Ram: waise tum bending exersice karna shuru kar do.. Boht log hai mere ghar me..
Priya: aup bhi horseriding karna shuru kar dijiye..
Ram: nahi.. No ghodi.. Mai ghodi pe nahi baithunga..
Priya: arre... Aise kaise.. Shaadi poore riti riwaz ke sath hone wali hai toh ghodi aur baraat toh honge hi na..
Ram went back home.. And there he saw the whole family gathered together and chatting...
KK: arre ram.. Aa gaya tu..
Ram: mujhe yahaan kisi ke baare me kuch sun ne me aya hai.. Ki koi mere sasural gaya thha aur wha par baat ki wagerah.. Toh mau sabko yeh bata du ki mai aur priya aap ke tareeke se shaadi karne ke lie tayaar hai..
