The toughest roles on TV
Shilpa Saklani It is very difficult to zero in on one particular role that was the most difficult. I feel all the characters I've played in the last few years are as tough as the others. Every new character brings with it a new set of challenges which we actors have to overcome. If I had to choose one among all the characters I have played, I guess it would be Lavanya (in Lavanya). When I started working for this, I was already playing Ganga in Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.Ganga being a very popular character, it was difficult for me to shed that image and get into the viewers mind as Lavanya. Also, since both the serials were running parallelly, it was all the more difficult for me.

The toughest roles on TV
Manini De
Difficult to answer! Interestingly, most of the roles that I have played on screen are either comic characters or negative ones. And both are far away from the person I am in real life. But once you are successful in a particular type of role, the industry will want you to go on playing that type. Thanks to Srishti Arya, who always tries to do something different from the rest, I got this role in Twinkle Beauty Parlour. The role of Raagini is something totally different from the rest. When I was offered the role, I was told that this was the toughest role of the serial. As you have seen, so far I have the role of a very hot dame, and hopefully the public perception about me will change with this role! Cutting the long story short, Raagini is the most difficult role I have played till date.
