I know I am probably asking for a whole load of Khushi's defenders to jump at my throat, but after watching today's episode I feel compelled to say what I an going to!
And let me state for the record : I do like Khushi, admire her do or die attitude and have great respect for her forbearance and smile despite odds nature!
But today as she stood alone waging a lonely battle to get the Raizadas to see the true nature of Shyam, only one thought struck me - Khushi stands alone cos she has ensured that she is alone.
Payal - a sister who she should have confided in if no one else cos of their relationship; that sister who alone knows the lying deceitful creature Shyam is. Wouldn't that sister feel hurt, upset and a little angry that Khushi didn't trust her enough to tell her about her suspicions of Arnav being kidnapped & Shyam being involved. While she has chosen to be oblivious to what has been happening in khushi's life, Khushi has also encouraged that distance.
Mamiji : her only confidante, who beleived her suspicions, who helped her unearth the truth, yet when it came to the test, Khushi chose yet again not to trust her with the truth. Yes Manorma cannot keep her mouth shut, but Khushi has created circumstances where Manorma has no reason to trust her. On the contrary she has enough & more reasons to mistrust her - that fateful conversation with Shyam& Khushi choosing to dump her as a partner in her investigation. Another possible pillar of support destroyed. Why should Manorma trust her?
NK : he's been a true friend and given his nature he will stand by her. But even with him, she has chosen to reveal half the truth. Tom when he learns the truth about Shyam & Khushi's engagement & the whole PG drama, isn't he going to feel cheated as well? He has blindly trusted her instincts & done whatever she asked, but again she's chosen to show him half the picture.
Finally Arnav - he has for now, allowed his love for her overcome all his reservations even though ostensibly the MU has not been resolved. I'd like to give him the benefit of doubt for his silence today & wait for his reaction tom but the fact is that Khushi did fraudulently get him to sign the will. Even if he was toblame for not listening to her, no one will believe she is naive enough to get anything that Shyam gives signed, knowing the person Shyam is. If Arnav is to mistrust her for this, can one really blame him?
Yes she is a young innocent 18/19/20 year old, who pushed against a wall did whatever she could, both to prove her innocence & to save Arnav. But like Arnav has said so often to her " yum sab kuch akele nahi kar sakti". Her inability to take help, to try & do everything on her own, to handle & manage everything will land her exactly where she is today - alone with no one willing to believe her!
Of course I am hoping that Arnav's love for her is finally trusting & unconditional which will stand up for her, no matter what anyone, anything or any evidence says. As they say, love without trust is nothing! It's not love at all!
