Omg! I'm so sorry, it's been way too long! Please forgive! I hope this update makes up for it.

Part 6

Arnav's anger flew sky high as he saw the bas***d with his daughter. That was HIS daughter. HIS DAUGHTER! How dare he? He was going to put an end to this man once and for all. This man was a danger to his daughter, to his wife and his sister. For as long as he lived, no one would hurt them again.
He took one step towards the door when he felt a hand clamp hardly on his shoulder. He turned around to come face-to-face with his friend.
"Arnav, we can't just waltz in. Obviously he is expecting us to do something. He knows how much this would anger you and you wouldn't think. You would just take action. We need to think, to throw him off so we can get Arshi back safely. We don't need him to make things more complicated by causing him to threaten her." Maan said cooly to his friend.
Arnav got his anger under control long enough to analyze his friend's words. He was right. He couldn't do anything with a hot head. Arnav had to act like the businessman he was, think with a clear head and think of what to do. He knew Shyam wanted Khushi in exchange for Arshi. But he wasn't going to let him get her. He was going to get his daughter and not put his wife in danger.
"Maan, you go around and go through the front and distract him while I look for another way to get in. Once I'm in, I'll take him and you take Arshi to a safe place." Arnav said after some thought.
"Ok Arnav. Be careful." he said and the two friends turned in the opposite direction to do their parts of the job.
Khushi and Geet followed the two men to the warehouse and saw them get out. They watched Arnav and Maan walk to a small warehouse where they stood there. Khushi and Geet quietly got out of their car and shut the doors. They went behind some trees and softly walked closer to where their husbands were standing. They saw Maan say something to Arnav and heard his response.
"Maan, you go around and go through the front an distract him while I look for another way to get in. Once I'm in, I'll take him and you take Arshi to a safe place." Arnav said in a low voice, but was still heard by Khushi and Geet. They saw Maan nod before each of them went off separately.
Khushi turned to Geet in confusion while Geet turned to Khushi. "What...happened? Do they mean Arshi is here? Did they find her? We have to go to her. Geet, I have to get my baby, my daughter." she started becoming hysterical and Geet had to stop her.
"Khushi, stop it! If you do anything, it could put her in more danger. Let Arnav handle it. Maan and him will get Arshi back." she grabbed Khushi harshly and held her in a iron grip as she talked to her.
Khushi realized Geet was right. She might just make it worse. Weren't other people's pain always because of her. Not knowing what that man was doing to her daughter was driving her crazy, not knowing what would happen with Arnav and Maan going in was driving her insane.
"Geet, what do we do? What if something happens to either one of them? We have to go in and help. We need to make sure nothing happens to them." she cried hysterically.
"We will help. You are right, Khushi. We need to do something, but crying and acting hysterical is NOT going to help. Come on Khushi, you are a strong woman. All the pain Arnav put you through when you first met him, the pain you went through after he forcefully married you, all the things Shyam put you through. If you were able to withstand all those, why can't we have that strong Khushi here too?" she asked.
This made Khushi think. She wanted her daughter and her husband back safe and sound and she couldn't be this miserable, pathetic woman who couldn't stop crying. She knew Arnav would never let her do this if he knew, and that is exactly why they didn't tell anyone. She looked at her friend and nodded. They were both ready to do this.
Arnav walked around looking for another door or window, but he found none. He knew Shyam would have been smart enough to cover all the openings. "All except one," he whispered to himself as he saw an open board and a hammer laying in the bushes. He hurried towards it and grabbed the hammer and started prying the boards apart one by one. Once all the boards had been taken down, Arnav looked through the opening to see which side he was by and if he was able to see Maan, Arshi or Shyam. When he saw none, he easily jumped through the small window and softly landed on a box that had been kept under the window. He started walking slowly and heard voices. He listened harder and recognized one as his daughter.
"Maan mama. What you here? Daddy kahan?" he heard his little girl ask Maan.
"Where is Arnav? Or did he not care enough for his daughter to come himself that he had to send you?" Shyam said as he smiled at Arshi.
"He didn't come. In fact he doesn't know I'm here." Maan replied as he carefully looked around.
Arnav saw that he was behind Shyam and was able to see Maan and Arshi clearly. He just prayed that Arshi didn't turn around and see him. He slowly made his way around the boxes towards Shyam quietly.
Geet and Khushi walked around and found a medium sized window that had the boards removed. Khushi got on box and and climbed through the window, landing on yet another box that was settled underneath it. Then Geet repeated the process and both stood behind stacks of boxes. Khushi and Geet started looking around when Geet noticed a puddle of some sort of liquid a little off to the side. She leaned in close and smelt the liquid. As realization dawned on her, she quietly called Khushi over. Khushi leaned in close and her eyes widened in disbelief.
"What...!" she screamed a little before Geet covered her mouth urgently. "Is that...?" she asked and Geet nodded in response.
Arnav moved behind Shyam just as they heard a soft, yet familiar voice cry out. Shyam turned around to see Arnav while Maan looked behind the two men. Before Shyam had a chance to react, Arnav took his hand back and swung forward, bringing his fist in contact with Shyam's right side of his face. Arnav grabbed Shyam by his collar and saw Maan take Arshi out of the corner of his eyes. He turned back to the man that he had so much hate for and wanted to wring his neck right there. But he couldn't do that. He was going to let the cops take care of him. But he was going to make sure this guy never even had the chance to get anything less than a lifetime in jail.
"You think you would be able to outsmart me, the man who built an entire fashion empire with years? The man who would do anything to protect his wife and child? Don't you know that nothing can keep parents and children separated? You can try as many times as you want, but I will ALWAYS find her. You will never keep her away from me." he said as he threw another punch, which connected with his left cheek.
"Then I will keep trying. You don't deserve her. She doesn't love you. She loves me. You were always hurting her. She would always confide in me, I was the shoulder she would cry on. She loves me, Arnav. You can have your daughter, but I swear I will never give her up. Every chance I get, every opportunity I get, I will try to get my Khushiji back." Shyam smiled.
Arnav's blood boiled at hearing his wife's name come out from his mouth. He hit him as he said "Don't ever say her name again." He continued hitting him as he talked. "She has never loved you. And when you hurt her, when you cheated her and her family, I was the shoulder she cried on. When her father was in the hospital, she hugged me for comfort. She loves me. And she is mine. She will never be yours. You will never see her." he yelled as he threw the last punch.
Shyam staggered backwards as Arnav let go of him. He wiped the blood from his lip and nose and looked at this man. He needed him to lose control and knew exactly what to say.
"Arnav, how do you know you were her first? Or her only one? I have to confess that she has come to me a number of times because you were busy and she was bored. And I have to admit, it..." he couldn't finish as he felt Arnav grab him by the his shirt again and punch him in the nose with a sickening crack, breaking it, but because of all the adrenaline going through his body, he felt nothing. The next punch, Shyam saw coming and managed to block it. He threw a punch and made contact with Arnav's face.
Arnav and Shyam threw a few more punches until Shyam freed himself from Arnav's clutches and staggered to his chair and grabbed something. Arnav couldn't see what it was, but failed. Shyam turned around and had a lighter in his hands and sick smile pasted on his face.
Khushi and Geet watched in horror as Arnav and Shyam fought, but Geet managed to keep Khushi from going in. Finally as Shyam freed himself and grabbed something, Khushi freed herself from Geet's hold and ran to Arnav, hugging him from behind. Geet ran after her, but suddenly stopped. She didn't see Maan or Arshi and decided to go find them. She knew Khushi was with Arnav and he would be able to handle it.
Geet, sneakily and quietly made her way out of the warehouse and looked for her husband and niece. She went to the car the two men had come in and found Maan and Arshi both in it. She saw Maan open the door and get out.
"Geet! What the hell are you doing? Did you come alone?! What if something had happened to you? Where is Khushi?" he bombarded her with questions.
"Don't worry about me. I'm fine. So is Khushi. What were you thinking?! What if he had hurt you?!" she said as she moved her hands down his face, reassuring herself that he was fine. "How is Arshi?" she said as she looked behind Maan into the car.
"She's fine. But she keeps calling for Arnav and Khushi. Geet, I need you to stay in the car with Arshi. I'm going to go back in." he said. With a hug and kiss, Geet got in the car with Arshi and Maan ran back inside to find his friend and bhabi.
Khushi grabbed on to Arnav as Shyam flipped on the lighter, the small flame Illuminating his evil, self-pleasing smirk. Khushi felt Arnav stiffen, weather do to her presence or the lighter, she didn't know, and put his arm around her, bringing their bodies closer. Seeing the flame, she knew what he was planning. She ha to tell Arnav about the oil. "Arnav" she started.
"Khushiji, it's so nice to see you. I see you couldn't stay away. I am delighted to see that you came to see me." he smiled at her. Khushi felt Arnav tighten his hold on her.
"I didn't come for you! I came for my daughter and my HUSBAND! Why won't you just leave us alone? What did I ever do to? What did we ever do to you? What did Di do to you, what did she do that you punished her so harshly?!" she screamed at him.
"Ouch, Khushiji, that hurt. You know I love you. Why would you say that? Anyways, leave that. Your daughter is so pretty. She looks just like you." he commented. Arnav's face twisted in anger as he made a move towards Shyam.
Khushi felt Arnav stiffen and move towards Shyam. At the same time, she tightened his hold on him. "Arnav, don't. He's poured gasoline all over the warehouse." she said and Arnav froze, his suspicions being confirmed.
"Wow! Beauty and brains. I didn't know you were so smart. But you also freed Arnav a year ago when I kidnapped him and managed to figure out that I was responsible. But, Khushiji, you are right. I did pour gasoline over the warehouse." he said. "I wasn't planning on hurting you, but since you won't accept me or my love, I guess I have to." he said with a frown as he turned the lighter on again.
"I swear, Shyam. I will kill you." he said. At that moment, many things happened, Arnav lunged at Shyam, who at the same time, dropped the enflamed lighter and Khushi screamed as she felt Arnav leave her side and the flame hit the oiled floor.
Khushi watched in horror as a flame shot up in front of Arnav, who flinched back. She watched as the flame grew around them and Shyam threw one punch, a punch meant for distraction, at Arnav. Arnav let his hold go and left before the fire could close around them. Arnav ran out to where Khushi was standing at grabbed her, holding her in a tight hug, reassuring her he was fine. Meanwhile, the fire was growing around them and he had to find a way out before the place filled with smoke.
Maan left Arshi in the car with Geet while he tried to get in and help Arnav. All of a sudden, Geet saw flames coming out of the warehouse. Arshi started crying when she saw the flames. Geet picked her up and held her in her lap, reassuring her that everything would be fine.
"Mami, I want mamma and daddy. I'm scared. What if they get hurt? Why did Shyam chachu take me away from mamma and papa? I want mamma. Please take me to mamma." she cried as she held on to Geet.
"Arshi darling, don't be scared. Nothing will happen to your mamma or papa. Didn't you see your Maan mama go to find them and help them? Watch, they will come out in a little bit." she pointed out and continued to hold the scared little girl, not fully believing the things she said.
Maan made his way to the front of the warehouse when he saw the door open and out stepped the man that ha caused his friend and his friend's family so much pain. Shyam had escaped the fire while Arnav and Khushi were still trapped inside. Who did he go after? He needed to get to Arnav, but he couldn't let that man walk out. He knew Arnav was a smart man and he would get Khushi and him out of the warehouse. He needed to go after Shyam. With two long strides, he stood behind Shyam. He grabbed him from the back of his collar, turned him around, and swung a punch at his face, making contact with his already broken nose, breaking it even more. Because he caught him off guard, Maan knocked him unconscious with a couple more punches. He got some rope and tied him, not wanting to take any chances.
Khushi saw fire surrounding them, they were trapped within a wall of fire. She held on tightly to Arnav, thinking about their daughter. She shook with fear as she tried to hold her sobs in.
Arnav, feeling Khushi shaking in his hands, tightened his hold on her. "Khushi, jaan, what's wrong? Don't worry. We are going to get out. We are going to get our daughter." he reassured her, although he didn't believe the words himself.
"Arnav... Arshi? Where is she? Is she ok? Please Devi Maiyya, let be ok. She is without us, she must be so scared." she said.
"Shhh...jaan. Don't worry. She's with Maan. She's safe and she's fine. Now lets try to get out." he said. At the same time, Khushi started coughing hard. "Khushi?! Get down!" he yelled as he realized the smoke was getting lower and thicker. They both dropped to the ground as Arnav held her close. He looked over her head around and saw nothing except wooden crates by the wall. The window that was above the crates was closed. And he was sure by now it would be too hot for him to push it open. He looked around some more and saw a loose board close to the window. He looked at Khushi and saw she wasn't coughing anymore. He knew the wood would be hot from the fire so he needed something. He took his sweater off and crawled closer to the window with Khushi and asked her for her dupatta which she handed over and she took the sweater to hold it for him.
"Arnav, what are doing?" she asked him.
"You see that board?" he asked as he wrapped the scarf around his hand and pointed to the loose board. She nodded and he continued. "I'm going to take it out and use it to break open the window." he finished.
"But Arnav, you will get hurt. Please don't. Maan must know we are in here, he will come and help us." she pleaded with him, afraid something would happen.
Arnav took her in his arms, placed a reassuring kiss on her lips and replied, "Don't worry, Jaan. I'll be fine. And I now know how much trust you have in me." he said with a smirk and got up. He covered his mouth and nose with the collar of his shirt and took hold of the board. He started playing around with it, trying to loosen it further. After a couple of minutes of struggling with the board, he pulled it free and dropped to the ground and took a deep breath. Khushi helped him sit up and wiped the beads of sweat that were rolling down his face. He had to work fast, Arnav knew that because the building would fall soon.
"I'm fine." Arnav answered before Khushi could say anything. He took the sweater and covered his mouth and nose again with his shirt. He wrapped the sweater around one end of the board and walked the couple steps to the window. He swung the board and made contact with the window glass. Nothing happened. He swung again and this time he heard a small crack. He hit again and again until the window finally broke. He stopped and sat down to catch his breath. Then suddenly there was a crack of wood. Arnav and Khushi looked up and saw a beam fall behind the fire. They both stood up and stepped away from the fire and towards the window just as another beam fell. Arnav knew the wood wouldn't be able to hold the building they had to get out. And fast.
Maan circled the warehouse, trying to find a way in. The front door was blocked by a beam on fire. All the windows had fire in them. Just as he was going around the third wall, he heard two cracks. He ran towards the last wall, trying to find a way in just as the whole building came crashing down in front of him, crushing and burning everything inside. Maan jumped back, covering his face as the the structure broke apart, bringing it to the ground.
