PART-3

The Vermas lived in lucknow for an year till the girls get an year old when they shifted to the borders of Rajasthan. Every year they used to go to Lucknow or the Solanki family used to visit their place.
      Rohan and Nidhi were the bestest of friends as well as nidhi n anji... Well avdhi was given this nickname from rohan... Actually right from their very childhood, avdhi had constipation problem. And to stay away from it,Nandita used to give her Anjeer ( fig ) to eat. So Rohan used to call her Anjeer. But, not to let other outsiders know abt the secret behind it, he used to call her Anji... From then on it was her official nickname...
        Rohan and Anji were the biggest of antis to each other. They had nothing in common except their fights. Nidhi was the one who was adjustable to both of them.
   It was Nidhi and Anji's 5th birthday,which they decided to celebrate in Lucknow. After having dinner and party, both the vermas and solankis were on the main road outside the restaurant, way back to home when Nandita found the 3 of the kids playing right at the middle of the road. She was about to warn them when an overloaded rash droven truck was on their way. To save them, nandita ran towards them and pushed them aside. By then the truck hitted nandita... Both anji and rohan were saved but nidhi got a slight of head injury... Nandita left the world right on the spot and nidhi was immidiately rushed to Kotnis General Hospital. She was under the care of Dr. Ashutosh Mathur, although young yet very talented, one of the blooming neuro surgon of the country.
    Dr. Ashutosh took nidhi for nursing. After few tests, CT scan and bandaging her, she was discharged. Never did he knew that, this girl is going to be an integral part of his life. He had never seen his baba's daughter nor her family. So he did never recognize her though.
      It was the funeral ceremony of Nandita... The whole Verma family was hell shaken by her sudden death... While the kids were highly traumatised by the accident, they could only understand was that their mother is no more; while yograj was extremely shocked as well as tensed. The only lady he had loved for so many years has left behind 2 lil kids, that too girls... Its a quite difficult task for a father to bring up a girl child.
   Other relatives and frnds were there to console them,but how long are they gonna stay wid them... How is he gonna take care of nidhi n anji was a very crucial question pestering his mind.
    It was when Buaji promised yograj to stay with them n she will take care of the girls. Shyama n solanki too gave their hands of blessings on the girls head. They promised yograj to never let nidhi n avdhi feel the absense of their mother.
   Initially, yograj took the girls with him where his postings were, but these constant shiftings were'nt allowing the girls to concentrate on their studies. So, it was decided that nidhi n avdhi will stay with buaji at lucknow while, yograj will continue his army...

PART- 4

Being twins, initially Nidhi n Anji were given everything exactly the same, right from their dresses to tooth brush,shoes,everything.
    Both studied in the same school along with Rohan. Rohan being an year older, was senior to them. But, nidhi n avdhi were classmates, infact benchmates. The unidentical twins were very different at nature n behaviour. While Avdhi was, the extra cautious, a hard working,yet fun loving, sweet little girl; whereas nidhi was the most daring kind of a girl who could go and slap any guy who tries troubling her or her sister, a very bubbly,fun loving carefree girl, almost absent in her classes, bunking around, but was an extremely intelligent girl. Both avdhi n nidhi were the toppers of the class, avdhi topped coz of her hard work (let me clear u all...she is not a book caterpillar... She is a very fun loving kind of girl but balances her studies wid fun...like she attends her classes regularly... Makes notes on timely basis n den do her fun...while nidhi has an inborn capabilty of multi tasking... If even she is not in the class, she copes up wid the summaries... If she is doing fun even in the class her ears always remain open), nidhi used to top coz of her being an exam oriented girl. She used to work hard when her exams are on her head. So her on time hard work and her but obvious intelligence made her win the battles in her school.
        But the nature of nidhi n avdhi were a turn around at home. The most daring, bubbly nidhi was the most obidient child at her home. Actually, she had seen her mother die more closely than anybody did. So, she always had a soft corner for her baba n dadi bua. Although she is more stubborn than avdhi, but used to relent to her fathers words. Inspite being an immature, carefree girl, she always tried to understand her father's condition.
    And this nature of nidhi gave her another turn of her life... After completing their 10th standard, when they had to choose their stream (subject), Avdhi very clearly stated that she cannot take up any other stream, other than commerce and she was so stubborn, that she stopped having her food, torturing everyone in the house,not to torture her for opting science. Baba (Col. Verma) was very upset with this behaviour of Avdhi. He wanted both his daughters, and atleast one, to be a doctor, considering it to b Nandita's last wish. But avdhi's stubborness was making him so sad, that without knowing abt the future, nidhi agreed to take science as her stream. Nidhi's decision somewhere gave back life to baba and in return nidhi requested baba to let anji do in the field she wants to. Baba reluctantly agreed to nidhi. So here started a difference in nature, field and friends circle between them, although their bonding never got loosen up... They still had their meals together... Brush their teeth together trying to push each other from the wash basin when the other one was abt to spit the tooth paste... Kept banging the door of the common toilet they shared so as to tease ,as soon as one of them goes inside... And so on.
    Since Rohan himself was in a commerce field, anji always seeked his help wherever she needed. Whereas nidhi got busy with her coachings n studies, Rohan n anji remained together. Even the environment around the girls gave an impact on their dressings too... Anji started wearing completely western outfits n occassionally Indians, nidhi's surroundings made her comfortable wid Indo-western dresses like jeans-short kurta, leggings n long kurta, sometimes suits and occasionally westerns when she was out wid her school frnds or wid anji-rohan.
    Right from the starting, the bonding, the friendship, the compatibility that nidhi n rohan had, everybody was quite sure, they are going to fall for each other. But the destiny had decided something else. Anji would spend the whole day wid rohan... It did'nt take them much time to fall for each other. Nidhi was the first one to realise this. She was quite happy wid this, but Rohan n Anji wanted this to b kept as a secret till they are able to be on their feet, financially and so did nidhi agreed...

As soon as nidhi n avdhi completed their schooling, anji took up to do her graduation in Business Administration as Rohan was doing the same. Col. Verma by then retired from army, as his daughters needed him n started his own business. Anji promised her father to help him in his business after her studies get over.
   While nidhi was'nt sure of doing MBBS... She had cleared her All India PMT exam with high rank... Yet she didnt want to do her MBBS... She had taken science for her father's wish, but was'nt clear that Doctor's profession is for her or not. Her otherwise careless bubbly nature was'nt allowing her to take up a serious profession. She always used to get fascinated to the enjoyment that Rohan-Anji had. But, her father knew how to convince her. Her mother's aspirations, desired were the binding force that baba usually used to convince her.
     Nidhi gave in with her baba, she agreed to do her MBBS... Althroughout her MBBS, she would keep bunking her classes,kept doing fun if even in the class. She was the naughtiest, yet the most favourite student of her professors. They at times felt like scolding her, but were helpless. If they ever asked her the questions relating to what topic was going on in the classes, she was always ready with the correct answers. All knew, whatever she does, she is always going to b the topper.
   In her final year, nidhi was caught by her Dean of the medical college. She took her to her cabin n interrogated her about all her medical subjects. After a long question n answer session, she finally spoke, '' Hmmm... Dr. Nidhi Verma, I'm impressed... I dont beleive, u being bunking your classes so often, still you are updated with your topics. I keep hearing about u in the staff meetings, I wanted to meet u once ''. Nidhi remained quite, not getting any words to speak. The dean continued '' You know what Dr. Nidhi Verma, you remind me of one of my batchmates, he was the same as of you,always a saviour to his friends, keep on enjoying life,, yet had every knowledge of his subjects. But now he has changed a lot, now he is a very subtle, disciplined, strict doctor. You know who is he? '', nidhi nodded in a no... '' That doctor is Dr. Ashutosh Mathur, the leading neuro surgon of the country, the dean, the HOD neurology, of the Kotnis General Hospital'', nidhi had heard about him a few times at her home, coz he was the one who nursed her at that accident, and also had been the guest lecturer in her own college, but luckily she bunked his class.
   Nidhi came out of her thoughts when she heard the dean continuing, '' Well, the students die to get their internship done at KGH, but it's deserved only by the high rank students. As I can make out, you have the potential to do it, I will make sure, you get under him itself. You need to learn a lot from him ''. Nidhi could not make out, whether the dean was complementing her for her intelligence or is she punishing her for bunking the classes. She thought it to b a punishment, cause she had heard of Dr. Ashutosh being a very strict doctor, from her seniors and even the batchmates who attended his guest lecture.
   Nidhi came out of the dean's cabin and was on 'Mission Avoid Dr. Ashutosh' and to accomplish her goal, she decided to perform as poor as she can in her MBBS Final exams. She was actually targeting a double aim shot. By this way, she wont have to go as an intern under Dr. Ashutosh and also with her poor performance, her baba would beleive her that she is not capable of this profession.
    After her final exams got over, she was very-very happy that at last she got rid of her medical profession, she can party around with anji n rohan... She used to read books, watch movies, sleep late night, party around n even hear, where did Anji- Rohan's love story proceeded..
Well Rohan went to IIM Ahmedabad for his MBA, while Anji got her admission in a very-very reputed business school in lucknow. So, nidhi n Anji were spending the happiest of their times with each other...
