First of all, let me say that i too was puzzled at Khushi's decision to ask for Shyam's assistance in clearing the misunderstanding. But then i tried to see it from Khushi's perspective and although there might be no logic in approaching him, i realised that there were two reasons why she did it. Desperation and protecting her loved ones.
Desperation
Ever heard of the saying desperate times call for desperate measures? The poor girl is shattered beyond comprehension! 💔 The man she loves thinks she is having an affair with his BIL and despite her telling him the ugly truth, he is still not willing to believe her! Yesterday she felt he didn't deserve her explanation and today, when she does disclose the truth in the heat of the moment, he says she's lying! To allow Arnav an idea of the magnitude of her hatred for Shyam, she says that she'd rather die than have his name linked to hers and what reaction did she get from him? His disbelief in her words! Can you imagine how gut-wrenchingly painful that must have been for her? A lot has happened in these 24 hours and amidst all that, she's realising just how much Arnav's opinion of her affects her. She can no longer allow him to stay in this misunderstanding now... she needs to do something - anything - to make the man she loves believe her! She even hints towards her reasons twice in the episode. So in her desperation (which doesn't allow you to think clearly), she goes to the one person who we never thought she'd approach... which brings me to next point.
Protecting Her Loved Ones
Apart from the fact that she also mentioned this is the episode, this one should come as no surprise... because it's the reason she's in this mess in the first place! Wanting to protect Payal, wanting to protect Anjali, wanting to protect the Raizada's and yes, wanting to protect Arnav from a truth that will most definitely shatter him! I'm not saying it's the right way to go about the matter, but that was the reason she didn't disclose Shyam's truth earlier. So she finds herself in a difficult situation once again and decides to approach the one person she doesn't care about protecting. Honestly, i don't think even she believed he would help her and she sure as hell didn't think it through, but her desperation to prove her innocence to Arnav made her do it! I'm pretty sure she would have walked away sooner had Shyam not brought up the one thing that prompted her to approach him in the first place... Arnav's lack of trust in her.
For Those Of You Who Think Khushi Is Dumb For Going To Shyam
Don't you think she's acting within her character...? Impulsive, naive and sometimes lacking in common sense! If you ask me, both Arnav and Khushi have been acting pretty dumb ever since the misunderstanding occurred but i'll leave that for another post! 😆 On a more serious note... did you see any trust in her eyes when she was speaking to Shyam? Even when he was trying to convince her with some twisted logic? I didn't. Maybe this was just laying the foundation for the kidnapping track to commence... and all is not what it currently seems. 😉
I say we wait until the episode airs tomorrow before deciding whether she's lost the plot... because i can't see her falling for the Snake's plans any time soon. And if by some (creative) blunder she does fall for his plans... then CV's khi khair nahin! 😆
