Rishi deserved sunaina's taunt

Sunaina - that leech - made a taunt today - "When Rishi could not be his family's how could he be Indira's, he went against his brother and mother"

This was one ungrateful statement. Since Rishi has shown up, he has done so many things for this worthless piece of flesh :
  • Indulging her pizza habit, buying her the vitamins and milk powder she likes
  • Finding Ishaan for her
  • Saving her from her ill-thought abortion as well as keeping quiet when Indira was suspected of this dreadful act; hence saving her from her husband's anger
  • Finding Ishaan when he was held hostage by the garage owner whom her good-for-nothing husband stole
  • Bailing out her worthless husband
  • Not pressing charges when her good-for-nothing husband almost killed him
  • Mentoring her son, truly fulfilling a role of an elder brother, providing him a good role model
  • Saving SN from her husband's machinations
  • Giving her husband his life savings so that he can marry Indira
  • Going against his family so that Sharma honor can be saved during the rape trial
  • list goes on...
and this wretch of a human had to make this taunt😡

There is a special place in hell for people like Sunaina

Having said that, Rishi deserved this taunt. He made a cardinal mistake

He completely submerged himself and his identity into Indira's. It is one thing to love completely and unconditionally, but one must not forget to love oneself.

This was especially important when it was an unequal relationship with Indira...and... Indira's had not reached a point in her love for him where she could start providing TLC (tender loving care) to his own psyche, his own being and all that is attached to his being, including his family.

He became desperately attached to Indira, and in the process lost himself. He did himself good when he fought the rape case and won it.

But he should not have forgotten his mother who was charged for kidnapping Inder. He abandoned Simi to her fate and started playing the romeo. Indira had not progressed in her love to start thinking of Rishi's needs too. It was still her, her circumstances, her wretched family etc.

When you do not respect yourself, no one respects you. As they say, charity begins at home!

Indira has to learn this lesson too wrt her wretched family. Most of them are able bodied adults who can support themselves and their families. It is not an immutable law of nature that Indira alone has to support her family.

nice post Jem!
As an Inshian, I adore both characters but I will not shy away from admitting/stating that they both have their flaws and make mistakes. I haven't seen the episode, but did read the written update and going by your post, I must say I concur!

Sunaina should not have said that taunt for all the reasons you stated, plus one additional reason: as a person, & more so as a family member, she shouldn't have said something so taunting and hurtful to an already stressed, tense, and upset Indira!!

But you are correct in stating that Rishi did deserve the taunt on the other hand. I love his unconditional love for Indira and the way he adores & respects her. Having said that, I have to agree that unfortunately he did lose his self respect and love for himself. It is fine to care and love for someone, but he did lose himself post the rape case, when he ignored his mother and just continued to go after Indira. Now I do think it was ok for him to forgive her, but not with the haste and forgetting his own family in the process. I feel it did not go with his character. Previously we had seen him even take his mom's blessings in court, by touching the ground where she was standing. Though he didn't agree with his mom, we have all seen prior to the post rape case scenes, his attachment/love/respect for his mom. So it didn't make sense. Also I think returning to SN and forgiving Indira so fast, and Inshi not having conversations, about the case, about his family, about everything. I felt they needed a heart to heart discussion. But he just forgave her and acted like all was well with his family. This did not fit with his character at all, and he lost self-respect for himself here, in my opinion.

That being said, I think both characters can be critiqued rightfully so. And even though there are certain things both characters have done that I might not have liked or agreed with, i still love them b/c they have made their way into my heart.

Individually and as a couple, Inshi are the soul of this show in my eyes ❤️

Good post Simran👏

Yes both are flawed, but to err is human as they say.

Despite their flaws they are one of the most wonderful couples I have seen on TV. In many ways it is their flaws that provide the spice and make us watch HD wondering how they will overcome them.

Like that wonderful scene when Rishi puts himself forth as Mandira's lawyer and Indira grills him on his marks and he is forced to tell his grade with sheepish affront "Nahi to aap kaheingee ke mein jhoot bolta hoon"😃❤️

Inshi are the soul of the show that was HD. What we now see or will see, I do not know
