Yeah, so I have a story. I live in a fairly nice apartment, in a fairly nice part in a fairly big city. Today, of all days, a cousin of mine came over, a relative who lives in a small apartment in a small area of another small city...(catch the sarcasm, kids-Im too disheartened by the episode to put too much effort into my snark today) .

Anyhoo, this nice cousin was over for dinner. Its 8:00, so of course, I tell her how sad I am yada yada, i have to leave her to play with the dog for 30 mins by herself, its Sarun time. She has seen some episodes, doesnt really follow the show, and as always I happy to make a potential convert, so I INSIST she watches my favorite jodi. She's game, so we sit down to it.

This a nice girl, who's guest room is a cute little cosy place I call my own-her warmth, excellent cooking, the overwhelming amount of food I'm always given, her great hostessing makes her place a santuary I've stayed in, happily, when I've had to visit the small town she's from for the past year. At least.

So she watches. And I swear to god, I feel shame wash over me, and it gets worse and worse, like one after the other-the cooler thing, the food, the simple toilet facilities. And there is Khushi, mocking away, and there is ASR acting like the biggest douchebag I've seen, and I've lived in NYC during the boom years, so I know my assholes from your run of the mill awkward damaad types.

Its like i'm personally trying to INSULT my guest, who keeps looking at me as I babble about how this is NOT the show, its about them, and no this is an off day, and please. for God's sake look at Barun, he's hot.. Ten minutes ago, she walked in and apologized for the guest room I've stayed in happily for a year now. She realizes it might be a little shabby.

Gul--you are so damn lucky I dont know where you live right about now.

They slapped us hard. Hard, i tell you. And slapped their TRPs as well. The disgusting part was...i understand Khushi's dire need for revenge. But now revenge is more important than her family's freaking reputation? She would make her family feel degraded in front of her husband just for the revenge of it all. Oh yeah, she slapped her morals there. She KNOWS what will irritate the freaking hell out of ASR and that's why she's doing all this get-a-taste-of-my-class (or the boiled, floating sabzi, as we saw)...indirectly slapping her family? Wow CVs, couldn't have thought of a better plan, you know.
And oh, are they having soap commercials now? Lifebuoy soap doosray sadharan soaps k muqablay mein zyada asardaar. I see. I bore with all that sabzi-khao-damaadji and hawa-khao-damaadji business. Acceptable for them to be anxious. But the soap? The towel? HALLO. It's not a Slumbitch-marries-a-millionaire story.

I completely do not agree. Yes maybe she did some stuff like the food to bug him but in no way does it look like a way to degrade her family. Arnav could've made more of an effort to look appreciative of their effort instead of refusing the halwa etc. and the towel and the soap etc is not even Khushi's ploy to annoy him, its just how their house is and Arnvan needs to accept that and not be a snob about it.

They just insulted the middle class people.Middle class people have a shortage of money but their self respect is their biggest asset...what they showed today was a mockery of that very self respect.Shame on the CV's

I think the slap was on the khushi charactor...a girl who put her life on line to save her foster families...goes and does this to her family when she knows how imp appearances are and wat length they would go to...is not at all believable...
I thought the ott prep by the Gupta's actually a reality..that's how it is even in our so called upper middle class...educated...surroundings...but Arnav's discomfort..was a bit ...(i'm at aloss of a good word here)...also what happened to commuting Laxmi Nagar is in Delhi I presume...
the soap thing...well I too am like that ..refuse to use pre used bar soap...
but these people need to wake up..the cvs actors production take a holiday...R AND R something and come back a new...or we will all be munching on the death of a potentially good show

I beg to differ. This was not slap-stick comedy. I think we should recall what happened when Khushi put ittar (domestic perfume) and lipstick marks on Arnav's handkerchief. He called her and her ittar class-less.

So this whole GH trip is not meant to be slap-stick comedy, but an education trip that Khushi has brought Arnav for.

Khushi wants Arnav to come and live with the so-called class-less people that she comes from, and realize that they are warm-hearted people who love a lot.

I have also lived in Delhi, and seen people who considered themselves very westernized, and looked down upon people and family in smaller towns. This is when I was in India. Now that I an an NRI, and live in a more or less class-less country, I think it is sad in India that not only do we have classes based on last names, but also based on socio-economic statuses. (Okay - I am not bashing anyone - I love my India)

Khushi has taken Arnav to GH because Arnav called her and her ittar class-less. She is doing her best to open his eyes to people outside his socio-economic status, because that is all that matters to him - his money.

I hope that Khushi will be able to open his eyes to the rest of the world.

Love to all - muah ❤️

This is what i was dreading, brainless ott comedy! Can understand that he didn't want to use their soap & towel, but notmoving his butt to help the older women or saying something just to put them at ease! Why did khushi feed wrong info abt Arnav to her family?? It only made them look bad in his eyes & vice versa!!! I thought this track was to teach ASR some family values, but seems it was the opposite, make a mock of them instead!
