But you know what Aamir is the best in the industry when it comes to acting. Count how many filmfare awards he has won. No wonder he boycotts them.
Sanaya not winning is something like that. Sometimes talent takes a beating when there are other things like TRPs, need to give an award to another show etc. arises.
That in no way reduces the worth of the actor/actress.
I admire what Aamir did.
Without attending a single award he has the whole industry recognizing him as the best actor.
Didn't Sanaya say in many interviews he is her fav actor? Then, if she is disappointed (I doubt it), she should take a leaf out of his book.
I am a huge Aamir fan and in the last 20 years he has won so few awards. Initially he did attend the award functions. He gave up when he did not win for Rangeela and SRK won for Deewana or something. So to clear all dounts, Aamir does win nowadays, he has just decided not to take them, because he thinks an actor should be beyond awards. His philosophy.
He did not win for some of his best works including the following

Rangeela
Akele Hum Akele Tum
It is after this that he stopped.
He went to Oscars much later to get an international platform for his films. People call him snobbish for this. But his reasoning is that these awards are genuine.
He also accepts National awards, unknown awards like sreeram bolapalli awards which has people like Kamal Hassan in the jury. Just to let people know, that he is not against all Indian awards. Just the commercialized ones like Filmfare, Zee Cine awards etc
