Ok some of you guys wanted to know whats been going on with this show from the US and other countries who are lagging behind India and U.K. Let's start from Meera and when she found out she has cancer...
Meera's mom Ruku found out that Meera has cancer and basically turned herself around from being a menace to being a good mother and a good person. Pancham meanwhile, is staying with Pradhanji (Ashok's uncle from his father's side) and has no idea that Meera is fatally ill. Radhika, Pradhanji's niece (I'm still not quite that sure what her relationship is to Pradhanji) is a troublemaker and is causing lots of problems for Pancham with her tricks and her jokes, but Pancham is still good to her, and Pradhanji likes that. In fact, Pradhanji likes him so much and so does his family that he tells Pancham to marry Radhika. Radhika is happy but Pancham really isn't that happy inside, but he says yes anyways and is engaged. On the day of the engagement, Pancham's parents, Ashok and Rajshree come down and Pancham tells Rajshree that he feels like he is being choked at the farmhouse (Pradhanji has a farmhouse where he was staying because of his punishment to stay away from Meera). Pancham says that he wants to go back home in the city and live with Ashok, Tina, and Rajshree again and that he won't ever go near Meera. After convincing, they bring him back home to the city.
Meera meanwhile is thinking about Pancham all the time and is sick. She was engaged to Vicky and Vicky finds out that she has cancer because Ruku tells her, and that Meera wilil die. He feels really bad...but under Ruku's pretenses, he lies to Meera and says that he can't marry her because his ex-girlfriend in Canada called him and said that she wants him back and that she's pregnant by him. It's all a lie so that Meera won't feel bad. In fact, when Meera hears this, she tells him that she hopes he has a good life with his ex and that he always be happy. Meera is so happy that she isn't going to marry Vicky anymore, and she wishes that if her life is going to end without Pancham, then she not be married to anyone that marriage will not be in her future.
Mr. Avasthi (Meera's dad and Ruku's husband) doesn't know that Meera is suffering with cancer. When he finds out that Vicky left her, him and Meera's brother run after Vicky to find out where he is, but they can't find him as that very day he flies back to Canada. Mr. Avasthi calls the pundit to ask about his daughter's future, to see if she will get married again and everything. But Ruku doesn't want the pundit to say anything so she kicks him out of the house. Ruku has even told the doctor not to tell Mr. Avasthi or anyone that Meera has cancer, because she knows that it will hurt Mr. Avasthi, since he really wants to get Meera married and fulfill his promise to her that he won't cry at her wedding. He loves Meera and by finding out she has cancer and will die, he will lose himself and all hope. This is what Ruku is thinking...well she goes to the same pundit later after throwing him out, and he tells her that he knows everything about Meera, and that she will get married, she will marry the person that she loves and wants and that is Pancham, and on the night of her wedding to him, on their Suhaag Raat, she will die in Pancham's arms. If Meera doesn't marry Pancham and doesn't die in his arms, her soul will be roaming the Earth with no peace. Upon hearing that, Ruku starts to think that Pancham is a good guy and feels bad for the way she treated him. In the hospital, Ruku tells Pancham only that Meera is going to die of cancer and that she is going to need him more then ever. He hears this and is shocked and says if everyone else knows, and she tells him that Pancham shouldn't tell anyone. Pancham's friend is having a birthday party and they invited Pancham, Chirag and everyone including Meera. Meera finds out that Pancham is back and that since he will be there, she has no point in going. But her friends convince her to go and have a good time. Pancham and everyone are there dancing, and Meera is there too. Meera and Pancham don't talk to each other, because they know that they can't but then Ruku comes and tells Pancham in front of everyone that she is sorry for the way she treated him, and she wants to see her daughter and him be together again and be friends, and reunite like they were once before. He accepts and she leaves and Meera and Pancham are happy. But their happiness is not long-lived at the birthday party because Pancham's father comes. Rajshree told him that she let Pancham go and be with his friends because she wants him to have a good time. Ashok gets mad and goes to the party. Someone comes in and warns Pancham and the gang that Ashok is coming, and they quickly scramble to hide Meera somewhere and get Pancham and the gang dancing again. Ashok comes in and sees Pancham and his friends dancing, and he tells the girl (I forgot her name but she is friends with Pancham and Chirag...short hair?? her birthday party) that he would like to see her room because her house is so nice. In fact, Ashok is looking for Meera to see if they have her hidden somewhere because he knows that Pancham and Meera will see each other. He doesn't find her and so he says his goodbyes and leaves.
