the marriage track is supposed to be short?

I am a little confused atm. I have been hearing that the marriage track is suppose to be short, so where does the marriage for 6 months come into play? is the show going to have a leap or something or are Arnav's misunderstandings regarding Khushi going to clear. If his misunderstandings do clear, will this not cause the marriage contract to break?
