They are very natural actors ...
just put them more often in a frame together ... I'm sure that'll be great 😃

I would say right combination of investigation and some casual chat.
One classic example is one of my all-time favourites - the one in Man on the bus. Abhijeet pulling Daya's leg in the middle of the investigation. Beautifully written dialogues, lovely acting by both, nothing looked strato and no loss of focus from the case. After Abhijeet walked away saying 'hume to tumne aaj tak kuch nahin diya', the next scene is back to the case investigation. The casual scene blended beautifully with the case.
Next - A scene in Mysterious Arvind. 'Aaj kal ladke ladkiyan jaldi pyar mein padte hain'...followed by a naughty glance by Abhijeet and an embarrassed expression by Daya. Nothing strato, no drama, nothing out of track but enough to make us smile and watch the scene again and again.
Insp Daya's abduction was a slightly strato theme. But still, how Abhijeet reacted to Daya's kidnapping was the right way to show it and not shout out emotional dialogues and breaking down. He behaved just like a cop should...took it upon himself to find Daya's whereabouts, showed a genuine concern and urgency.
This is what we need to see...not loud proclamations of Dosti...we don't need them to say it or remind us of it verbally. We need to see them investigating , but not with scowls on their faces and hardly looking at each other. A couple of casual moments are needed but they should learn where to draw the line between this and stratoism.
They should stop replacing each other in investigative scenes, making it obvious that they come together in one scene only when it is a strato episode.

Make the right share of drama and investigation...
I 100% agree with Visrom...
After biweekly specially in 2011 I see a relation between duo which is not familiar to me...earlier when I saw them doing investigation or any leg-pulling scene or any emotional scene every time i felt that its natural rather an acting but this natural thing is somehow gone (may be i m wrong)...for eg in the last Daya sir centric episode i cannot feel it what i felt in Staged murder...
a cop is crying just becoz his senior suspecting him...i cant accept this specially from duo & i cant relate my duo in that scene...here i agree what Visrom said -" loud proclamations of Dosti."...

Will ask for a very good investigation and same frame space for duo with leg pulling at times. 😉
Guess i am asking more considering present situations...😆

I think visrom has put it very well. 😊 A good balance between cool investigation and light moments, without any embarrassing melodrama, is what I look forward to.

a proper balance of case and occasional leg pulling is fine...more than sharing any light moments or leg pulling things i would simply be happy if they are put together which is rare these days...nothing much... during the case itself the classic dialoge ''abhijit...haan daya'' is enough to bring smiles on our faces...

I dont Is it only me who feels that duo scenes and dialogues are being acted out and not felt like before?Their eye contact keeps slipping every once in a while...is it because they have lost touch on screen?

No, you are not alone...many of us feel that the magic is missing.
There was that one little moment in a recent episode, when duo walked into the forensic lab and there was a moment of eye contact which was perfectly captured by Deep.
This one...
Otherwise the dialogues, the scenes - all look forced and not natural.
