Narendra sir acts in that play 'Ek Tu Aur Ek Mein'
Pramod Joshi
is "an unsuccessful criminal" and B. P. Shrivastava "an unsuccessful lawyer".
The criminal, a gentle tea vendor, is being tried for the murder of his wife and
the barrister- an elderly, disappointed man has received his first case after
waiting for 20/25 years. He recalls the long wait for work that never arrived.
This would be a tremendous lift. He wants to apply all his knowledge,
intelligence and experience to realize his dream of becoming a rich and famous
lawyer. But to win the case, he must fight the case, and for that he not only
needs the consent, but also needs full co operation from Pramod Joshi. He
explains the reasons to his client, who is ready to help, albeit reluctantly.
Thus begins a rehearsal session of examining and cross examining some
possible characters required for the case. All this creates a series of events
that are both funny and intriguing, at the same time. Although we know that this
castle has no foundations we keep guessing if it will see the light of day. What
happens after so many rehearsals? Who wins? Could B P realise his dream? What
did Pramod get after all? Jail or bail?
