I'm pretty sure Sanaya and Barun didn't turn up on December 30th and say 'Oh by the way we're taking a break for a couple of days, bye!' The CVs and writers must have known about the vacation in advance and if they had any sense would have been able to plan the episodes and shooting accordingly.

Also if the show in general had any logic left to it we wouldn't be annoyed by scenes of just Akash and Payal and Shyam and Anjali but we would accept them as necessary for the track to move forward. Instead the story is stuck in practically the same place it was on Monday's episode.

Personally I don't buy the 'They were on vacation' excuse, lots of other shows have lead actors that take vacations or even other jobs at the same time and still manage to film bank episodes in advance.

i agree! infact i remember seeing the interviews of the cast of Kuch to Log Kahenge about taking a break too and yet they have had great episodes...story moving at fast speed...yes they too have silly comic relief too...but atleast the story is moving forward and there are NO filler episodes.

This is not to compare with any other serial...just that better planning is the only thing that will take our favorite serial to the top!

There is NO excuse period. If you are going to provide "daily" entertainment then the audience should be entertained "daily"! If you can't do that, then cut down the days your show airs and makes some adjustments. What I don't get is how all the other shows on SP do so well with so/so chemistry between some of the leads and so/so storylines but this show is sucking right now. The last truly good episode was around the 2nd week in December and we're already in January. How can they justify this downward spiral with vacations? So sad to have a stacked deck and still not be able to win the card game.

Oh yeah, I totally agree. Just because the leads are on a vacation, do the writers allow the show to go into the dumps?
As far as I know, most of the tv actors head for a break around this time, but none of the shows showed filler epis for so many days consecutively. In fact, they couldn't do without the leads cause almost every show has new yr celebrations going on. It's only here that this is happening.

I don't buy this vacation stuff either. The cvs could've shot in advance, but there's absolutely no reason to feed the audience crap day after day and building hopes of some superb scene coming up.
If they really care so less abt what the viewers think and are SO confident abt their filler track, why don't they tell the viewers to go on a vacation too for as long as the show continues to be in the dumps? 😃 Let's see what happens then!

Actually they haven't forgotten anything its the demands of SP that the show has to appeal to every age group, so pretty much they are destroying a very beautiful love story for the sake of TRP's and I don't understand how this track is going to gain any trps if it does than I am living in a different planet.

Exactly how I feel. They know it's a 'daily' soap and exactly how many hours of footage they have to film each week, it;s nothing new that you can excuse especially when there's evidence of so many other shows and PH managing to work around vacations and still keep up with the storyline.

But how sure are we that it's the demands of SP? Has there been any actual evidence? An interview by anyone working on the show apart from one vague remark made by Akshay Dogra which was in relation to shows in general not just his own.

The TRPs were doing well (if not better) when the story was on the original track so why would SP need to interfere in a show that's doing well against so many big name competitors and came to them with the concept of being a unique love story?

I mean we can guess that there's obviously an element of influence but we've also had so many writer interviews claiming that they think the audience appreciates humour and also that they write for many other shows.

I blame it on the writers personally and the workload they have. How can one writer work on so many daily shows without getting confused? Which is what I think is happening. They've forgotten they're not writing for a Saas-Bahu saga

Amazingly the TRP'S actually went up last week...and if im right the whole cocktail party etc..didnt even do anything for the story...it was just some more amnesia on the leads part...like the track right now has nothing to do with what happened last week
