Anu Malik is very upset. He has cancelled his contract with Bollywood music giant T Series. The reason for this? The company recently added a song to Harry Baweja's film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye. This song has been composed by Himesh Reshamiya. This upset Anu Malik as he was under the impression that he would be the only composer for the film. Though he gave an NOC, he is against sharing his composing space with any other music composer. This is exactly what happened. Himesh stepped in to compose a special number for the film. Following this he has cancelled his three-year contract with T series.
Anu has reportedly also clarified to Harry Baweja that he will compose music for Harry's son Harman's debut Love Story 2050 only if he has it in writing that he will be the only music composer in the film. The composer was also to do some private music albums with T-Series, which apparently he will not do now. He has JP Dutta's Umrao Jaan round the corner. He is now looking forward to Umrao Jaan and to working with the likes of mega directors like Yash Chopra, Karan Johar.
Incidentally, Anu Malik was recently in the news for his tussle over the Indian Idol 2 contestants with his co judges Farah Khan and Sonu Nigam. Let's hope the emotional and passionate composer finds his peace with the two, because the three make a great trio of judges on the show.
