Actor Salman Khan's car hit 12-year-old Pranjali Kesalkar, who was returning from school in Bhandara town in Vidarbha district yesterday.
Salman's driver was at the wheel when he lost control of the car after a tyre burst. The girl is said to have suffered minor bruises. Salman took her to a nearby hospital, and she was discharged after treatment.
Salman was on his way to a function in honour of his father in Bhandara, organised by Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel. The girl's parents have not lodged a complaint.
It is believed Salman invited them for the function, where they sat in the
front row. "Salman was not driving the car. The parents did not file an FIR
as she did not need to be admitted," said his lawyer Dipesh Mehta.
