After dropping Adi at the hospital, Maan leaves for Delhi.

Through out his journey from Amritsar to Delhi, he couldn't stop thinking about Geet.

Maan: (st) why Geet didn't come? ...Doesn't she trust me?...why i am expecting her to trust me?

Maan is still not ready to come to a conclusion that Geet didn't trust him.

Maan: (st) shaayad...she wouldn't have listened to the FM. Hai na? how will i search for her?...should i search for her?

Maan reaches Khurana mansion around 1'O clock at night. He walks into the drawing room. he is confused to see NT and Dev are sitting there. NT notices Maan and she comes running to Maan and grabs his hand. Dev also comes close to them

NT: thank God! You are back

Maan senses the tension in NT's voice. He notices the tear trails on her cheeks. He is shocked

Maan: kya hua?

Dev: how many times we tried your mobile? you didn't attend the call even for once. we got scared that something happened to you

Maan: woh...

NT: you know what happened to Dadima?

Maan: (shocked) kya hua?

NT: since last night she didn't eat anything so she fainted few hours back

Maan runs to Dadi's room. Dadi is sleeping. Maan walks to her bed and sits beside her and caresses her head.

Maan: i am sorry Dadima.

Dadi opens her eyes

Dadi: Maan! have you come?

Maan: haan Dadima

Dadi: aap teek tho ho na?

Maan: ji Dadima

Dadi: i missed you beta

Maan: i am sorry Dadima...i was...

Dadi cuts him short

Dadi: rehene deejiye beta...you must be tired...jakar aaram keejiye

Maan: Dadima! you must take care of yourself...dubara yesa math keejiye

Dadi stares at him

Maan: woh...main bhi dubara yesa math karunga

Dadi smiles

Dadi: Maan...you were thinking that i would ask about your fiancee. That is why you didn't attend my calls. Hai na?

Maan: Dadima...woh...

Dadi: hereafter i won't ask anything about her. you bring her when you feel like

Maan: Dadima...you need rest...ab aap sojayiye...we will talk about it later. hmmm?

Dadi: good night beta

Maan: good night Dadima

Maan comes to his room and sits on his bed. he is angry on himself that in Geet's tension he didn't care to attend even Dadi's calls.

Maan: (st) i ignored Dadima's phone calls. how can i do this to Dadima? in these 2 days all i could think about was Geet. Kyun? Main yesa kyun kar raha hu?

Maan lays himself on the bed and closes his eyes. without his permission his heart start to think about Geet. he is pissed off

Maan: (st) Maan! tum pagal hogaya kya? now stop thinking about her...she is the reason for all your problems...because of her, Adi's fiancee attempted suicide and Dadima has fallen ill

Maan decides to forget about the marriage and stop searching for Geet

Maan: (st) that marriage was just an accident. why i am searching for her? simply to get her signature in divorce papers. hai na?...hereafter i won't search for her... if she ever comes and claims me as her husband, i know how to deal with her.

Suddenly a thought about the marriage certificare comes to his mind. it is still in his car dashboard. Maan gets up from the bed; goes to his car and comes back to his room with the marriage certificate

He reads the marriage certificate...

"Maan Singh Khurana(Bridegroom)... Geet Handa(Bride)... a marriage was solemnised between them "

He caresses the marriage certificate. He didn't know what is happening to him. Suddenly a thought about Geet's ring comes to his mind. he slips his hand into his jeans pocket and takes out Geet's ring. For few minutes, he keeps staring at the ring and the marriage certificate. Then he realises what he is doing

Maan: (st) Maan! tum pagal hogaya kya? now stop thinking about her

He safely hides the marriage certificate and the ring in his cup board and goes back to sleep.

Next Morning...

In Amritsar...

Geet wakes up from her sleep. She thinks to go and see Pinky at the hospital. But she couldn't get up from her bed. She is so exhausted by the last two day happenings. She keeps lying on the bed. Her mobile rings. It is Pinky on the line

Pinky: hello Geet

Geet: ab tum kaisi ho Pinky?

Pinky: main bilkul teek hu Geet. i just called you to inform that my parents are taking me to Delhi

Geet: when will you come back?

Pinky: don't know Geet

Geet: did you get any information about your fiancee?

Pinky: haan...he is back...actually his boss had been in some trouble. That is why my fiancee couldn't come to the engagement

Geet: oho..

Pinky: Geet! tum teek tho ho na? why are you sounding so weak?

Geet: kuch nahi...thoda sa sir dard

Pinky: take care Geet..

Geet: hmmm

Geet cuts the call; closes her eyes and takes a deep breath

Geet: (st) is he really a pimp?

Suddenly some thought comes to her mind. she hurriedly gets up from her bed; rushes to Govind's shop and buys a copy of all the local newspapers and comes back to her home.

She starts to read the newspapers to check if there is any news about Maan's arrest. She finishes reading all the papers but one

Geet: (st) why there is no news about their arrest?

She picks up the last newspaper and starts to read it. there she finds a news about the arrest of two drug smugglers near district court. she hurriedly checks for the smugglers' names. She is relieved to see that the names are not Maan Singh Khurana and Adi. some other names have been mentioned in the news report

Geet: (st) iska matlab...the police didn't arrest Maan...that means...he is not a pimp. Hai na?

Instantly some other doubt comes to her mind

Geet: (st) what if Maan had given a fake name to the police? In that case...he is a drug smuggler also. isn't he?

Not wanting to jump into any conclusion, she decides to go to the police station and check for herself.

Geet: (st) before going to college, i must finish this job

She again scans the news report to search for the police station name. Suddenly she bursts out into laughter. actually the criminals photos have been published in the paper itself. but, she didn't notice it earlier, because of her tension. Now, she is very happy to see that the photos are not that of Maan and Adi.

Geet: (st) Geet! tu bhi na? tum bilkul pagal ho. they have published this big photos but you didn't notice it.

Geet is relieved like anything

Geet: (st) shukriya babaji! Maan is not the drug smuggler and he has not been arrested. But still i don't know if he is a pimp or not?

Geet thinks for few seconds...

Geet: (st) hmmm...finally...i am back to square one...is Maan a pimp or not?...yeh bath soch soch kar main zarur pagal hojaungi

The clock ticks at 9'O clock. Geet checks the time

Geet: (st) uff...i must go to college atleast today...Geet! instead of thinking about him, better you should concentrate only on your studies

She gets ready and leaves for the college

In Delhi...

When Maan is about to leave for office,Nakul bumps into him

Maan: tumara dhyan kahan rehta hai?

Nakul: sir woh...

Maan gives a stern look and turns to leave. Suddenly a thought about Chandu comes to him

Maan: has Chandu come back?

Nakul: nahi sir

Maan; when did he contact you last?

Nakul: he didn't contact me since he left for his home town...but i called his mobile sir. some Chopra is attending the call

Maan feels like killing the Marriage Officer

Maan: (st) Chopra? Woh marriage officer ko tho main...

He controls his anger and leaves for office

@ Khurana Constructions...

Adi comes to Maan's cabin

Adi: good morning sir

Maan; good morning adi. now how is your fiancee?

Adi: she is fine sir.

Maan: koi kam hai?

Adi: sir...now i have come with a super plan to find Geet

Maan didn't want to talk about Geet

Maan: get out

Adi: sir...please ek baar sunleejiye

Maan: tum ne suna nahi maine kya kaha...bahar niklo...abhi

Adi silently turns around to leave

Maan: rukho

Adi turns to Maan

Maan: batao

Adi: sir...i know a detective in Amritsar

Maan: (sarcastically) is there anyone in Amritsar whom you don't know?

Adi: sir...

Maan: It seems that you know everyone in Amritsar but Geet. Don't you?

Adi: yesa nahi hai sir...

Maan: phir kaise?

Adi: the other day my fiancee was telling me that one of her friend's mamaji is a detective in Amritsar

(buddies! actually adi is talking about jugnu mama. But he doesn't know Pinky was talking about Geet's mamaji)

Maan: tho?

Adi: let us give Geet's photo to him. he will search for her secretely

Maan: no Adi! we are not giving Geet's photo to anyone. Samja tum?

Adi: par...sir...then how will we search for her?

Maan: main dekhloonga

Adi: sir...

Maan: don't you have any other work or what?

Adi : hehe he he

Adi stops laughing

Adi turns to leave...

Maan: ek minute

Adi: ji sir

Maan instructs Adi to not tell anyone about the marriage between himself and Geet

Maan: don't tell anyone about the marriage

Adi has understood correctly what Maan meant. But he pretends otherwise, to check how Maan feels about the marriage

Adi: whose marriage sir?

Maan: (annoyed) don't you really know whose marriage i am talking about or are you pulling my legs?

adi: (lies) sorry sir...really i don't know. Are you talking about my marriage or Chandu's?

Maan rolls his eyes

Maan: get out

Adi: haan...yaad aagaya sir...you are talking about your marriage with Geet. hai na?

Maan is more irritated and closes his eyes

Adi: am i right sir?

Maan: adi! leave this place before i open my eyes...woh hi tumaraliye acha hoga

Adi is scared and leaves the place

In the following one month, Maan tries to forget about Geet and the marriage. but eveytime he fails miserably. He reads the marriage certificate and sees Geet's photo almost every day. He tries to divert his attention toward his business. He spends lot of time in office so as to keep himself away from Geet's thoughts.

On the other side, Geet also tries to forget about the marriage and Maan. she is yet to know that Maan is not a pimp. She spends lot of time in her studies and with Romeo so as to keep her mind away from Maan's thoughts. Whenever she passes by the district court, she doesn't fail to check the campus for Maan.

Meanwhile, Adi's dad requests Dadima's help in the arrangements for Adi's marriage. Dadi promises to help and she insists that the marriage to be held at the Khurana mansion itself so that it would be easier for her to take care of the marriage. Adi's dad agrees.

Pinky invites Geet to the marriage. Though Geet doesn't like attending marriage kind of functions, this time she agrees for the sake of Pinky. Geet leaves for Delhi.

During her journey to Delhi, Geet couldn't resisit herself from thinking about Maan...

Geet: (st) Adi and Chandu told that they are from Delhi...that means Maan is also from Delhi...but did they tell the truth or faked their home town also?

Geet realises she is again thinking about Maan...

Geet: (st) Geet! have you started it again? Now stop thinking about that "may be or may not be pimp"

Geet reaches Pinky's home. Seeing Geet, Pinky runs to her and hugs her

Pinky: Geet! i am very happy that you have come...i thought that you won't come

Geet: (teasing) i hadn't come for your engagement and you ended up in suicide attempt. Dunno...what will you do, If i don't come for the wedding? not wanting to take any risk, i have come...

Pinky: are you teasing me?

Geet: no...i am telling the truth

Pinky's parents come and greet Geet. then Pinky takes Geet to her room

Pinky: Geet! you get freshen up...in an hour, we are leaving for my fiancee's boss's house

Geet: why your marriage is taking place in his boss's house?

Pinky: his boss's Dadima is looking after the marriage arrangements

Geet: why she is making the arrangements?

Pinky: please Geet! it is getting late for my wedding. now stop interviewing me and go and get ready. Otherwise this time, instead of my fiance, i myself will fail to turn up for my wedding

Geet: acha...iska matlab...this time, instead of you, your fiance will attempt for suicide. Hai na?

The word 'husband' reminds Geet about Maan. his face pops in her mind.

Geet realises what she is thinking

Geet: (st) Geet! tum pagal hogaya kya? why are you thinking about him? that marriage was just an accident. It has no meaning at all.

Pinky: Geet!!!!

Geet: ...

Pinky shouts in Geet's ear

Pinky: geeettt!!!!!!

Geet comes out of her chain of thought with a jerk

Pinky : it is getting late Geet...please

Geet: teek hai...jaarahi hun

Dadima is checking the final decorations for Adi and Pinky's wedding. NT and Dev are helping her. though Dadi is busy with the wedding arrangements, she couldn't stop worrying about Maan. NT and Dev notices Dadi's sadness and come to her. NT touches Dadi's shoulder

NT: kya hua Dadima? why are you looking sad?

Not wanting to spoil the festive mood prevailing there, Dadi tries to cover up

Dadi: main bilkul teek hu beta

Dev: don't lie Dadima...now you are worrying about Maan. aren't you?

Dadi breaks down...

Dadi: haan beta! for how long he will remain single. He needs to get married and settle in his life.

NT hugs Dadi and comforts her

NT: don't cry Dadima! sab kuch teek hojayga...aap dekhleejiye...soon Maan will agree for marriage

Dev: haan Dadima...as you know, Maan already has a fiancee...his marriage is just a matter of time

Dadima: i don't think he has a fiancee

Dadima cries more

Dev and NT couldn't see Dadi like that. they try to comfort her by lying that they have seen Maan's fiancee

Dev: Dadima! aap galat samaj rahe hai. really, Maan has a fiancee. I myself have seen her

Dadi is surprised

Dadi: sach? Have you seen Pari?

Dev: ji Dadima

NT seconds Dev's lie

NT : haan Dadima! i have also seen her with Maan. she is very gorgeous, stunning, very nice, etc.,etc., . She is just perfect for our Maan

Dadi is happy and excited

Dadi: I want to see her. can you take me to her?

Dev: Dadima! we will bring her to you on someother day .but for now...we have to concentrate in Adi's wedding arrangements. Hai na?

Dadima agrees

Dadima: yes Dev! the girl's family will be here at anytime. You both go and check if everything ready at the reception

NT hugs Dadi

NT: my Dadima is back

Dadima smiles and leaves

NT: Dev! we keep lying to Dadima about Maan's fiancee. When are we going to tell her about Maan's break up?

Dev: no NT! We can't tell the truth to her. she will be shattered. Just now you saw how worried she is about Maan's marriage

NT: but for how long we can continue this lie?

Dev: i don't know

NT: what if Dadima insists on meeting Pari?

Dev: let us arrange for some one

NT: again, you mean fake fiancee?

Finally Geet, Pinky and her relatives arrives at the Khurana Mansion. Dadima, NT, Dev and adi's family are welcoming them.

Pinky steps into the mansion and Geet follows her hesitantly.

Pinky touches Dadi's foot and takes Ashirwad.

NT hugs Pinky and greets her. Pinky introduces Geet to everyone

Pinky: she is Geet, my classmate and best friend...she only saved my life

Hearing the name 'Geet', Dadi, Dev and NT are looking at each other's face. all of them are wondering if Geet is Maan's fiancee Pari. Because, the other day, Maan had told Dadi that he affectionately calls Pari as Geet.

Geet touches Dadi's foot and takes Ashirwad. Dadi holds Geet by her shoulder and hugs her

Dadi: kush raho beta

Geet hugs Dadi back. the warmth of Dadi's hug reminds Geet of her parents. it is the first time she feels this kind of warmness since her parents death. She holds back her tears that have welled up her eyes.

After few seconds, Geet parts from Dadi and smiles at her

NT comes to Geet and hugs her

NT: nice to meet you Geet...I am Nayantara

Geet is surprised and happy by the way she is being treated at the new place

Geet: nice to meet you too

NT introduces Dev to Geet

NT: meet my husband...Dev Singh Rathore

Geet: hello bhai sahab

Dev is touched by the word 'bhai sahab'. He smiles at her

Dadi takes Pinky to the bride's room. Geet also accompany them

Immediately after they left...

Dev and NT are whispering in eachother's ear

NT: Dev! is Geet Maan's fiancee Pari?

Dev: may be

NT: but Maan broke up with her na? then how come she is here?

Dev: in that case, she may not be Maan's fiancee

NT: don' t confuse me Dev

Dev: let me first check if Geet is Pari

NT: how will you check?

Dev: now i will call Geet by the name 'Pari'. If she reacts to the name, then she is Pari

Geet didn't turn around to see them. both NT and Dev are disappointed

When Dev is about to say something, Dadi comes back to them

Dev and NT are looking at each other and wondering what to say to Dadima.

Dadi: you guys have already seen her na? whatever you described about Pari suits Geet well.. please tell me Geet is Pari. I like this girl. She will be just perfect for Maan

Not wanting to spoil Dadi's excitement, Dev lies to Dadima

Dev: haan Dadima! you are right. Gee is Pari

NT is shocked at Dev's lie and looks at him in horror

Dadi is super duper happy. she hugs Dev and NT

NT whispers in Dev's ear

NT: Dev! why are you lying to Dadima?

Dev gestures her to keep quiet

Dadima: now itself i will go and talk to Geet about her marriage with Maan

Dev and NT are shocked

When Dadi is about to leave, Dev catches her wrist and stops her

Dev: we have to go through proper channel

Dev thinks to send NT away and he lies

Dev: kuch nahi Dadima...NT is asking me if she can go to bathroom?

NT's jaws are widedropped. Dadi gives NT a dirty look

Dadi: NT! Are you a kid? why are you seeking permission from Dev to go to bathroom?

NT didn't know what to say. she keeps staring at Dev as if she is going to kill him

Dev: NT! Now stop staring at me like that. teek hai...permission granted. You can go to...

NT stops him by raising her hand in the air and leaves the place.

Dadi smiles and turns to leave

Dev: ek minute Dadima!

Dadi; haan beta

Dev; promise me that you won't talk to Geet about Maan

Dadi smiles and agrees. Dev is relieved.
